  Maureen is the best wedding planner on nantucket!

  Maureen comes with decades of experience invaluable networks on Nantucket and it certainly shows in the process of working with her. She is professional and efficient and has truly seen it all. She can give you a laundry list of vendors for any myriad of things and speak to other events she has done with those specific vendors. She is also very aligned in terms of her interests - she is there to serve you and you only - not her own interests! Lastly, and in my opinion most importantly, she managed my family dynamic with ease - we had a very large spectrum of working styles and personalities and she was incredibly respectful and gracefully helped us to always determine solutions and navigate a path forward. She has become like family to us in the process and we couldn't speak higher of her character - she is a genuinely great person.

  Best experience ever!

  Maureen Maher is an extremely professional, knowledgeable, organized and creative person to work with. Not a single detail was overlooked. She works with an incredible array of venders to choose from depending on your budget and personal preference. My daughter and I could not have asked for a better experience planning her wedding!!! I cannot say enough about how fabulous it was! I wish we could do it all over again!

  Amazing wedding planner!

  Maureen is the BEST! She was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process and made my wedding day absolutely perfect. Day of, I had nothing to worry about because I knew she had everything covered. As an event planner myself, my bar was set high, and Maureen exceeded all expectations. Our wedding day ran so smoothly because of her. I would highly recommend Nantucket Island Events and Maureen to anyone getting married on Nantucket. You will not be disappointed!

  Nantucket Island Events gave us the gift of being present and enjoying our celebration!

  Nantucket Island Events helped us with every stage of our planning and they did an incredible job! I have the pleasure of knowing this amazing team as I too am a wedding professional, I am a wedding photographer here on Nantucket Island. When we got engaged the idea of being on the 'other side' of the wedding planning was exciting but I immediately knew we needed a wedding planner for our 250 person and multi-day event. I have photographed many weddings in my career and I can say with my experiences that having a great planner is the best investment you can make. When you meet Maggie, Maureen and their team look no further. These ladies are all wonderful professionals! They go above and beyond on every level to make sure you are not only stress free but that you are enjoying every moment. They put in countless hours meeting with my family and I and they pick up on every little thought you have, they anticipate different hurdles and they handle any challenge with absolute ease. These ladies have instincts that can't be learned instead it comes to them naturally and they make every step of planning enjoyable and fun. They have been in the business a long time and I believe that their experience and their industry knowledge is priceless. During our night there was never a dull moment, never a lull, they made sure everything happened on schedule and they live cued the entire night. They can read a crowd, they help prepare the people giving speeches, they keep an eye on all the little things that together make the night flow flawlessly. I can say with 100% honestly and all my heart that they gave us all the gift of being truly present during our wedding day and we enjoying every minute of the celebration. I never once had a worry or thought about what time it was or what was happening next. Their attention to detail and their passion for weddings is really the ultimate combination. My husband and I would recommend them whole heartedly and I know our families feel the same way. Hiring Nantucket Island Events will be the best wedding gift you can give yourselves!

  The Kaizer/Schwanfelder 2018 October Wedding Weekend on Nantucket Island was magnificent on ALL levels thanks to Nantucket Island Events….from the beginning days of planning throughout the year, to the very end, all went incredibly smoothly. This wedding was the talk of the town for days. Maggie and her team gave us their all and they were such a pleasure to work with! I, Mother of the Bride, did not have one moment of worry during the entire planning stages. When the big day arrived, we were given the greatest gift of all….to be totally present in this joyous celebration. Their attention to even the most minute detail was always covered. Phone calls and questions were taken care of quickly. They worked extremely well with all of our vendors. Never a problem, always a solution. I can honestly say that we had the best of it all….the best week and truly the best day of our lives. I would do it all over again! Thank you Nantucket Island Events.

  Maggie and the whole NIE team were absolutely outstanding. We could not possibly recommend them higher! Our day was perfect in every way (even though it was torrentially pouring rain...which Maggie managed flawlessly and without missing a beat). Our guests had so much fun and we were so relaxed that we could just focus on being with them and having an amazing time. No complaints whatsoever. Highly, highly recommend!!

  Maggie and the whole NIE team were absolutely outstanding. We could not possibly recommend them higher!   I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Nantucket Island Events. We used their full services for our wedding this past June, and worked mainly with Maggie and Jenna for about 12 months prior to our event. Maggie made herself available at almost any hour of the day via phone email and text, and was incredibly responsive. Super helpful when you are both working long hours. The team has a clear process and methodology that ensures no detail is forgotten. Their past experience and their knowledge of the island was absolutely indispensable when making vendor and budget decisions. As we got closer to the wedding date, we had weekly calls to walk through the status of any payments, & vendor decisions that needed to be made. They were also a huge help with various tasks like mailing out invites, and putting together ceremony booklets. Another big help for us was their interaction with guests. Guests had the option of calling Maggie's staff to help with travel arrangements, and answer any questions about the event or make local recommendations.
  
  As for their work done on the wedding weekend itself, they went above and beyond. Their team was professional, socially savvy, friendly, detail-oriented, but also no BS!!! Very necessary when executing any large-scale event! Everything ran on time, and nothing was forgotten. I gave them the ultimate challenge a day before our wedding when I asked if they happened to have a 'just married' sign for the back of our car, and a flag from our college for a group photo. They were totally unflustered and found both items on island.
  
  I can honestly say that Maggie and Jenna will forever be a part of our lives, and we'll think of them every time on island!

  Where do I even begin with how happy we are that we chose Maggie to plan our wedding? It is impossible to express what a pleasure it was to work with her, and how her help meant that we were able to enjoy the wedding planning process from start to finish.
  
  I did a ton of research going into this process, and picked Maggie because all of pictures from her weddings looked like the guests were having the absolute best time. Nantucket can be a pain to get to, so we wanted to make sure our own guests felt like the trip was well worth it and got to experience the best that the island has to offer. Well, I can happily report that all of our guests are now as in love with the island as we are and are already planning return trips! This is definitely thanks to the wedding weekend itinerary Maggie helped us create, and how flawlessly everything was executed. It could not have been a more magical weekend. I've never seen a dancefloor more packed, or felt a room more filled with love.
  
  Most importantly, Maggie's confidence, kindness, and attention to detail helped both my family and my husband's family actually get to relax and enjoy both the weekend itself and the entire planning process. She always kept us focused on the things that mattered most, and made sure that we were comfortable with the decisions we were making. The result was a wedding that was everything we could have ever hoped for and more.

  Maggie Stewart made my daughter and son-in-laws wedding dreams come true! It's probably a bit unusual for the bride and groom to thank not only their parents, but also their Wedding Planner in their speech at the reception, but Matt and Kate did just that. Maggie was a delight to work with, she made the entire process stress free, every bit of advice and guidance that she provided was spot-on, and every single detail was taken care of. Our 'vision' for the wedding weekend was always foremost in her mind. We enjoyed several meetings with Maggie on Nantucket, and had bi-weekly phone calls during which she provided us with a timeline of tasks to be completed, she was always immediately available for any questions or concerns that we faced. Due to her amazing organizational skills, the entire wedding planning process was not only stress free, but was actually a time that we all greatly enjoyed as we watched our wedding plans come together. After working with Maggie for over a year and a half, we had such confidence in her and her staff, we were certain that the weekend would be wonderful, as it was. She even managed, somehow, to arrange the most perfect weather for us, in-between two weekends of hurricanes! I believe that one of the greatest compliments that I, as the MOB, can give Maggie, is that I had the most wonderful weekend, that I didn't want the celebration to end, that I had more fun that I ever had expected. If there were any problems or issues over the weekend, I (and the bride) was blissfully unaware of them. Maggie, I can't thank you enough for all that you did for us. I'll miss our Thursday phone calls, but am hoping to visit with you again when we return to Nantucket. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

  Working with Maggie was the best decision made during our wedding planning process. Maggie constantly brought up considerations and potential conflicts that none of us would have thought of. She is extremely organized and detail-oriented, and her biweekly meetings gave us the structure that we needed to actually get things done. She handled all contracts with our vendors, worked closely with our photographer on our behalf, and secured us a wedding cake from the best baker on island.
  
  Maggie was literally invaluable the few days leading up to our wedding and the wedding day itself. She devoted herself entirely to us for that week. For a couple of months after our wedding, I actually forgot that two days before our wedding - amidst a dismal weather forecast - our tent company couldn't put up our tent. Maggie handled everything: convinced the tent company to put up another tent, then coordinated with our venue and florist to accommodate the smaller tent. We could completely enjoy our arriving friends and family and pre-wedding celebrations because Maggie took the stress upon herself.
  
  Being able to only focus on my marriage and celebration during the most special weekend of my life was the greatest gift/service out of all our wedding vendors. I literally did not worry about anything, and I cannot speak highly enough of or thank Maggie enough for that.

  Working with Maggie was the best decision made during our wedding planning process. Maggie constantly brought up considerations and potential conflicts that none of us would have thought of. She is extremely organized and detail-oriented, and her biweekly meetings gave us the structure that we needed to actually get things done. She handled all contracts with our vendors, worked closely with our photographer on our behalf, and secured us a wedding cake from the best baker on island.

  We are still in awe at the amazing and perfect wedding weekend our daughter and son-in-law just experienced! Maureen Maher is a first class pro who worked tirelessly to help us assemble a "dream team" of vendors to make it look easy. The bride and groom had a unique vision for their day that was a melding of their personalities. Elegant, formal and classy ceremony combined with a more relaxed party atmosphere tented reception, complete with food catered and served by local rockstars Island Kitchen via their foodtruck, roasted pig (courtesy of the local "pig man), keg of local Whales Tale beer (served in red Solo cups of course!) all complimented by music spun by LA DJ Maplesyrup who ensured no one sat down. Through every element of the year-long planning and execution process Maureen and her team made us feel like we were the most important client they had. No detail was left unattended and no last minute crazy request was shot down. Maureen made it all happen! The day of the wedding her multiple assistants were invaluable helping the bridal party get ready and keeping us all calm and smiling.   The best wedding planning decision we made was to hire Maggie! I was incredibly impressed with Maggie's professionalism, attention to detail, promptness, and thoughtfulness. She was the magician behind the scenes. As the bride, my only job on my wedding day was to show up. If you're getting married on Nantucket, you need to work with a local wedding planner. Maggie knows everyone and everything. She opened doors for us; things that were "booked" became available. She is also such a fun and kind person - a real treat to work with!

  Maggie Stewart and Nantucket Island Events are real pros. They are knowledgeable and very patient. They do not pressure you but are quick to tie all the loose ends of a wedding weekend together.

  Maureen is fabulous! She gets the job done, no ifs ands or buts about it. We had a serious weather issue and couldn't put tents down. The night before Maureen made it work. We had the most amazing wedding ever, everything fell into place. She mad it work and it was perfect. Maureen recommended other great vendors. We still keep in contact two years later!

My mom and I were so lucky to have her shepherding us through the process, managing far-away vendors and to be a sounding board for ideas, differing opinions and advice. They thought of everything for the wedding (going so far as bringing us umbrellas when we were out taking photos with the photographer, just in case!) and the night went perfectly. Thanks again, Maggie, for everything!

  We are not from Nantucket so it was particularly important that we had a responsive wedding planner with deep local knowledge and local connections. Maggie had all those strengths and more! She was accessible for the year before the wedding and on the wedding day itself seemed to be everywhere all at the same time!
