Mug & Muffin Cafe & Catering has been open in Greenville, South Carolina for more than twenty (20) years. Providing breakfast and lunch at our cafe, delivery of breakfast and lunch to local businesses, and fine catering for weddings and events at a host of different facilities around the area. We not only provide fine catering of food, but also wedding cakes designed in conjunction with the bride in a variety of unique flavors. Cutting and serving of the cake is always included when combined with the food catering. Being family owned and operated, each of our clients feel like part of the family once we start planning their event. We have provided for events not only in Greenville, but also in Spartanburg, Anderson, Pickens, and surrounding counties. We have even provided services in Atlanta, Columbia, and Charlotte, NC to name a few!

We had a Sunday brunch wedding and Jim did so well in accommodating our menu for us. I wanted a waffle bar and he made it work perfectly. The display for the food was great and everyone who came to our wedding just loved the food. Thank you for the hard work you provided for us!

Can I just brag about Jim & Lilia's food? It was amazing!

They made my cake and groom's cake, and blew everyone away with their flavors (I had a tier of vanilla, another of red velvet, and the groom's cake was of orange cream). Not to mention that the cakes were gorgeous.

The food was also spectacular; everyone loved the chicken and pork. People loved just loved everything. I'm so grateful to have found them, because I had resigned myself to having a boring-tasting cake until I found them at a bridal show.

They were also super sweet and understanding and helpful. I'm not a girly-girl, so I have not been planning and envisioning my wedding since I was 5. Yet, they walked me through everything with patience and love.

Jim was very responsive to all communications and extremely accommodating to meet all of our dietary needs! We had a tasting before we booked and the food was delicious! All of our guests enjoyed their food, felt that they had plenty, and could not stop commenting on how wonderful the meat options tasted! I would definitely recommend working with this caterer!

Wonderful catering! I got just what I wanted for the reception! Mug and Muffin is very reasonably priced and they looked so professional at the reception. The food was excellent and my guests were raving about how wonderful it was. The wait staff collected trash during dinner which made clean up so much easier! We over estimated the amount of guest that would be coming and they even donated our leftover food to an organization to help feed the community. Could not have asked for a better catering experience!

Going with Jim and Mug and Muffin for our wedding day was the biggest mistake we made! We were promised the moon and the stars and paid for that and got a meal that was worse than cafeteria food! I had at least 7 sit down meetings with Jim personally who promised everything would go as to plan and what he promised. A month before the big day, Jim asked for more money (which I relictantly paid)saying I was making his staff work too hard. Mug and Muffin messed up everything from our cake, to the meats promised, ran out of drinks for a smaller croud that was even paid for, Jim didn't even use the plates and utensils that we agreed upon. When I went to have these issues resolved, Jim admitted that this business was just a hobby for his wife and that I was a "Bridezilla". Jim has a tricky way of making a person feel like he can be trusted with such a big day, but do not be his next victim. To this day I cannot believe what a bad experience we had! He is even banned from the (popular) venue we had because Mug and Muffin did not hold up their end of a contract! Do not endure this nightmare!

After attending a wedding show where the food was great to our initial consultation where the food was again still great. It came as such a surprise that the food that was served the day of our wedding was not what was promised. The extra service we paid for was not utilized. What makes it worse is that the owner made an "executive decision" to change our cake from Buttercream which we wanted and told him during the final consultation to fondant which made the cake terrible. Not complying with what was promised has made this situation worse. I can't recomend this company at all.
