The Mountain Star Estate hosted the most incredible wedding weekend for our family. The facilities were beautiful, functional, and provided a once in a lifetime experience for the bridal party, the families, and every guest that traveled to the event.
The ceremony site is a natural wonder situated at the end of a winding path with panoramic views of Rangeley lake and the western foothills of Maine. The reception barn included inside and outside space to congregate that was comfortable for all ages. There were multiple bar locations and multiple bathrooms that allowed everyone time to socialize instead of waiting in lines. The farmhouse provided plenty of space for friends and family to gather for wedding day preparations, comfortable overnight accommodations, and a well appointed kitchen for food preparation and serving. The fire pit is epic!
The support from the owner and coordinator was tremendous from the moment the event was scheduled. They provided valuable insight for decoration, reliable vendors, and other event details.They communicated and worked closely with the entertainment, photographer, florist, & caterer to make sure the set-up and flow of events was seamless. As one family member/guest said to me multiple times during the day, “This is a 10 out of 10.” I couldn’t agree more!

My husband and I hosted our wedding at Mountain Star Estate on August 8th, 2026 and we couldn’t recommend it more!
Mountain Star Estate was the most beautiful location for our wedding. Our family stayed at the farmhouse throughout the weekend and filled every room comfortably. We loved having space for the kids to play and for the adults to enjoy. Sharon and Trav were so communicative and generous with the property and throughout the planning process. The venue was covered in wildflowers, beautifully landscaped, and naturally had space for a ceremony, cocktail hour, and indoor reception. Our guests were blown away!
Our day felt seamless and we loved every part of our celebration thanks to Adrian Heatley, who was so much more than a Day of Coordinator! On wedding day, we weren’t stressed about a single thing.
We are so grateful to start our marriage off surrounded by the best team at the best venue.

Emily and I were married at Mountain Star Estate on July 11, 2026, in front of 150 guests, and it was the best day of our lives. The venue is a big part of why.

The single thing we would tell any couple considering MSE: we had the property from Thursday at noon. Two full days before the wedding. That changed everything. We set up at our own pace, ran the rehearsal Friday afternoon, and slept on site with our families in the farmhouse instead of scattering across town. By Saturday morning there was nothing left to do but get married. If you have ever been to a wedding where the couple spent the morning hauling boxes and chasing vendors, understand that MSE is built specifically so that does not happen to you.

Sharon Fournier is the reason the logistics never became our problem. She handled our bar down to the detail: sourced Teremana through her distributor for our ranch water, worked out the La Marca order for the champagne toast, kept Hugo Spritz ingredients on hand all night, and let us bring our own Wicked Joe coffee for the coffee bar because it meant something to our family. After every planning call she sent a written recap of what had been decided. We never once had to wonder whether something was covered.

Adrian was the best day-of coordinator we could have asked for. She built the master timeline, connected with every vendor to confirm arrival windows, and then ran the day so completely that neither of us had to make a single decision after we woke up Saturday. Our caterer came from off site, and she made that seamless.

The property itself is beautiful. The ceremony site looks out over Rangeley Lake, the barn is warm and genuinely handsome, and the whole place is quiet in a way that only Rangeley is. But plenty of venues photograph well. What you are actually buying here is a team that only takes one wedding a week and treats yours like it is the only thing on their calendar, because it is.

I can't say enough good things about Sharon, Adrien, and Mountain Star Estate. We rented out the farmhouse for our wedding weekend guests and hosted our wedding welcome dinner/party in the barn. The space is so beautiful you almost don't need to do any decorating! We had so many guests comment on how ideal the space was for a party! And there is nobody more communicative and organized than Sharon. Not only that, but she also made me (as the bride) feel so relaxed about our event- even providing ideas and advice that I didn't realize I needed. Mountain Star is a magical space, made so by its owners who have put so much hard work and love into it.

My daughter's wedding took place in late June 2026, with a beautiful barn Welcome Party and staycation for the wedding party and friends at Mountain Star Estate's farmhouse. From start to finish, the professionalism, assistance, warmth and know-how from owners Sharon & Travis and coordinator Adrian gave us confidence that we had chosen the right place. They were a wealth of information when choosing vendors, and we didn’t hesitate to call or text when searching for a hair stylist or a local shuttle: they know everyone in the area. After working with them, we know we would have considered having the whole event at this site - ceremony and reception - had we found it before booking the wedding reception elsewhere. Their barn is spectacular - one of the prettiest venues we saw on two coasts - and we visited many. It was perfect acoustically for a friend's bluegrass band to accompany the Friday evening party. The estate grounds, even after a wet spring, were perfectly manicured, with ample parking. We held our rehearsal at their ceremony site - another gem - on a slope surrounded by purple lupines: a magical evening. The group staying at the farmhouse enjoyed the ability to visit with one another, relax in the common areas, socialize on the grounds and party late into the night at the fire pit - a perfect experience for friends coming from near & far to reconnect, and for new acquaintances to get to know one another. Many of them decided to continue their Maine vacation together even after the wedding, sharing rides to Acadia and joining their new friends for hikes and lake swims.
If you're looking for an inclusive experience that's perfect for family and friends, this is the place. For beautiful Rangeley Lake views, a mountainside retreat, a stunning ceremony site and barn reception - yep- this is it. If you've never planned a wedding before, this staff has the experience, know-how and attention to detail you'll want, and won't let you forget a thing. We keep hearing from guests that this was the best wedding they’ve ever attended. That goes double for my daughter and her new husband: they were over the moon. No regrets at all – not even a little.

I can't overstate the quality of the experience we had with MSE. We met with Stacey and Angela in August of 2017 when we first scheduled a last minute wedding for my daughter and her fiance. They were thoughtful and helpful, tending carefully to the details that we inexperienced patrons desperately needed. They easily accommodated the short notice, and took this task and worry away from us!
Just weeks before the scheduled event was supposed to go, we determined that we would not be able to pull all the details together in time, so wisely decided to reschedule for the fall of 2018. They fully supported our decision without hesitation. This was so appreciated at this challenging moment.
Now, with the blessed event behind us, I happily attest to the overall quality of the MSE wedding experience. The farmhouse accommodated our large family for pre-wedding festivities, easily making the friend and family dinner one that gave a true "at home" family event, as well as cozy inn overnight accommodations for all. Our guests spent the weekend reveling in the beauty and serenity of the vistas afforded by the MSE, definitely providing a needed measure of comfort as we readied for the event.
We are forever grateful to the folks at MSE for being an intricate, incredible part of our wedding journey. If you are looking for a a wedding event venue, in the Rangeley area, look no further!

In addition I need to tell that Angela's work with all details including the flower arrangements (which she took on without hesitation at the last minute:) was phenomenal. Both she and Stacey maintained continuous contact throughout this process, accommodating us at each turn. We always felt they had us. The wedding went off without a "hitch"...they were present to guide us through the hours leading up to the ceremony and beyond. We are forever grateful to the proprietors and memory makers of the MSE!

We loved the venue space and the bridal suite area. We loved the location and felt it was perfect for us. As Shane and Stacey keep expanding and finishing the venue, its only going to get better.

My husband and I loved working with Stacey and her team at Mountain Star Estate! When we first started thinking about our vision for our wedding, we imagined being surrounded by our friends and family for not only one night, but a weekend of celebration. Stacey helped shape our vision, guiding us throughout the entire process and bringing our dream to life in ways we never thought possible. Both Stacey and her staff not only took complete care of us, they made us part of their family- and even partied with us on the dance floor by the end of the night! I'm not sure that we could ever find the words to properly express our gratitude for absolutely everything. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Mountain Star Estate was a one stop shop for our wedding weekend! One of the best features about this venue is the package options that provide [everything] you need (on site housing, ceremony site, reception site, tables, chairs, linens, decorations, flatware, glasses, etc.). No need for countless rental agreements from different companies. The location/ambiance was PERFECT for my husband (from the mountains) and myself (from the ocean). Stacey and Adrian were very supportive and helpful throughout the wedding process.
We had potential for rain during the ceremony and there were contingency plans in place to hold the ceremony in the barn if needed. (Great piece of mind!) Luckily the sun held out and we were able to use the incredible ceremony site a short path walk up from the barn with the backdrop of Rangeley Lake below. The barn venue had plenty of space (comfortable/cosy in a good way) for just over 100 guests. I used local (Rangeley, ME) vendors for catering and flowers who work closely with MSE - another benefit.
Guest housing availability on site and very close by (within a mile) made this venue a great choice for us as everyone was traveling from out of state. I loved having the Honeymoon Suite to ourselves right next to the Farm House. We held our rehearsal dinner at the Farm House in a relaxed BBQ buffet that we brought in. Low-key and fun!
If you are looking for a rustic/barn venue that has an easygoing and elegant feel offering a phenomenal package - look no further. MSE is the best option out there - I know, I looked at every barn venue in the greater northeast and nothing compared.

What a beautiful place to hold a wedding, with a wonderful opportunity to feel 'ownership' and truly host your family and friends as if you were home. We booked the whole estate for 3 nights and had our bridal party and immediate families stay on-site. It felt like a Thanksgiving weekend, except it was our summer wedding! The farmhouse is perfect for doing your own rehearsal dinner and morning-after brunch to save on costs in an already expensive situation, and makes for a cozy atmosphere. The outdoor space provides a perfect landscape for socializing, playing, and enjoying the fresh mountain air of Rangeley. Kid and pet-friendly, plus breathtaking backdrops for photos (especially in lupine season!). The night sky is spectacular given limited ambient lighting and the fire pit lends an intimacy to the evenings. Beware any outdoor ceremony space comes with the risk of noise from neighbors and cars passing by (in our case a truck sitting somewhere not far off playing audible music during our vows, ha!). The reception Barn is a perfect canvas for making your personal Wedding vision come to life, and the owners are an incredibly talented and thoughtful couple of builders/designers who will make just about any vision come to fruition. Recommend to bring/hire a day-of coordinator to manage schedule and communication with vendors, bridal party, guests, etc., and to clarify what will incur additional expenses if budget is a concern. We had 100 guests very comfortably fit.
