Monte Mills has become an icon of the California Central Coast. Monte's not only one of the last of the yodeling cowboys... He's the best! A Farrier and auctioneer by trade, he's the real deal. But he's more than just a singing cowboy. He's part of life around these parts. He's been instrumental in keeping traditional western swing country music alive introducing it to thousands of Cal Poly students and Central Coast residents each year. Saturday night "Aggie Stomps" attract masses of swing dancers, new and old to experience this infectiously fun music that has become an energizing ingredient of the Cal Poly / Central Coast experience.

A SLO Classic. My parents reminisced how they used to follow him around town when they were at Cal Poly in the 80s. The guy sings classic country and rock that will get EVERYONE on the dance floor, young and old. Monte has been around for so long and is so professional with his ease of set up.Sent on 02/02/2012
The musicians in the band are all so talented and full of energy. The true surprise and gem of his band is a 12 year old violinest/vocalist named Amaya Rose. She even played accompany music at the ceremony.
You can't go wrong with this band!
