JSH Music Productions, Inc. is a group of professional bands and DJs based in Solvang, California. They offer amazing service to the Santa Barbara, Central Coast, and greater Southern California areas and are open to travel all over the West Coast. Jon Harris, owner and founder, plays the drums in every live band while also acting as the DJ and MC. This live-music service utilizes a state-of-the-art custom JBL/Crown PA system for incredible sound! An LED-lighting engineer and added stage and dance floor lighting are available. JSH Music knows how to get the party started and can't wait to light up your event!

Amazing job & service - Live music & DJing!

Jon was AMAZING to work with. First of all, he was so patient during our 2 year wait due to COVID delays. He was super flexible with us, responsive and easy to work with. He came out to meet me in person when we were deciding on Santa Barbara, which no other vendors did. We had a pretty untraditional plan - live music (trumpet & guitar) at our ceremony, then a New Orleans style Second Line with 5 more horns for a procession from the Courthouse to our venue, and then DJ at the venue. JON HANDLED EVERYTHING. He played drums in the second line and DJ'd/MC'd the reception. Our dance floor was bumping from the second it opened to the minute we exited. He incorporated a ton of our feedback/playlists, and both played some pretty out-there requests that got the dance floor jumping, and screened some requests out at his discretion, which I think you need in a good DJ. I also thought he was fairly priced for all the service he provided. We had a welcome party on Friday night that he DJ'd as well (& played electronic drums over the playlist) and from that point on our whole 100 person party was obsessed with him. He loves what he does and he's great at it. Would 100% recommend hiring him!

ALLSTAR, professional, talented & kept dance floor packed

Jon was AMAZING to work with. First, he loves his profession and it shows by the amazing musicians he brings & their energy!!
Had a solo vocal/guitarist during cocktail hr, then a trio playing during dinner, and 7-piece band for dancing. Band has a versatile song list for you to review and highlight beforehand.
The band created an amazing atmosphere for guests. Dance floor was always packed, even during the band’s break and the DJ mixed from our Spotify song list we put together (mostly, house & hip hop) Post-wedding, everyone kept remarking just how amazing the band was!

I am so glad we found Jon / JSH music - not only because of the talented musicians but throughout the entire planning process Jon was always responsive, helpful and willing to adjust plans / terms as needed to accommodate our requests (I.e. added a solo vocal/guitarist for cocktail hr)
Have no doubt when booking Jon / JSH that you’re setting yourself up for a fun and memorable event.

Nailed it! Perfection.

Jon is simply world-class when it comes to executing music and audio for an event. Our wedding in Solvang was at a winery with no in-house equipment, so we needed two separate sound systems and a live jazz trio, which Jon effortlessly executed. From providing all of the needed equipment, to helping to scout the venue for ideal setup locations, to helping to curate the music and hire exceptional musicians from LA for the wedding - Jon exceeded our every expectation. He will work with you on everything from live solo guitar players to jazz trios to full top-40 or country groups, or simply a DJ - whatever you can imagine, Jon can make it easy.

As a musician myself, I was somewhat neurotic about making the music aspect of our wedding perfect. Jon not only worked with us on our wishes and accommodated each request with respect, he personally ran the sound equipment, played drums, built playlists and DJ'd, but also coordinated everything so it ran smoothly and blended in with the vibe of our vision. Not to mention his equipment looks clean and professional and sounds STELLAR!

THIS IS THE GUY you want to trust with such an essential aspect of any event - the music. Could not recommend him enough.

Mother of the Bride

Jon was amazing from the first call to book him til the end of the wedding!
He will be the first call we make when my next daughter gets married! He had everyone dancing from the beginning til the end! It was a magical wedding and one week later our friends are still texting “that was the best wedding ever” and we attribute it is a large part to the great music!

Want to find a reason to hire them again!

Jon Harris was fantastic! He understood our desires right away and went beyond the call of duty to make sure we got what we were dreaming of.

He brought a GREAT level of energy. The band made the reception totally fun. They read the crowd and knew when and how to get things going! We could NOT have been happier. We had so many guests compliment the band afterward.

They were completely professional. I sent Jon a song list and some spotify playlists and I never thought about it again. He handled fade-ins and outs and the ceremony sound and the breaks - all without me worrying about a thing.

They even worked with my dad the day of the wedding to do a surprise toast that incorporated different songs as he spoke.

I can't say enough good things. I highly recommend.

JSH Music Productions Quintet

JSH Music Productions' Quintet performed for our event and were beyond outstanding! They performed their sets at just the right volume-you could carry on a conversation and enjoy the music without a problem. The Quintet had a wonderful energy , were enthusiastic and we would definitely use them again.

Jon and the Stir Father musicians were amazing! Picking the songs for our sets of music was one of my favorite wedding tasks. As a bride I did not have to worry about them day of at all, they were completely professional with their sound check and set up, and all communications. Plus they ROCKED and had everyone on the dance floor. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone!

We hired the three piece jazz band for a 50th wedding anniversary. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish! The entire team was very professional, polite and amazing follow up from the moment we reached out to inquire about their services. I would have no hesitation hiring them again for any future event and can't say enough how happy we were with JSH! They are a class act!

We interviewed 10+ DJ and music vendors before John came to our rescue. Do you know how hard it is to find a DJ that can get every guest dancing from babies to grandparents from a variety of cultures? It’s like finding a needle in a haystack. John is your needle in the haystack.

John will go out of his way to make your wedding the event of the year. His energy and charisma is unbeatable, and he’ll tailor your music needs to exactly what you’re looking for and make added suggestions on top. Some DJ’s just want to play the type of music they are comfortable with vs. what you need. We were a multicultural French American wedding with unique tastes and he made our playlist exactly right for our special day. John found us amazing live musicians to also play what we wanted, and then busted out his DJ skills in the late evening. He even suggested adding an electric drum set set to his sound system and busted out rythm in conjunction to the tracks. I didn’t even know this was possible and it was amazing!!!

Very highly recommend. Save your time with the rest, and just contact John.
