Desiree Blackshear is an excellent event planner! I recommend her event planning service, Moments of Purpose. Desiree did an exceptional job planning my husband’s retirement celebration. Our theme was the “World Awaits” based upon my husband’s desire to travel to Greece, Finland, France, Thailand, and Puerto Rico. Desiree brought our vision into fruition and created such a fantastic experience for my husband, myself, and our guests. Our evening began with a social hour that included cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a photo booth. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the photo booth experience.
Next, Desiree issued boarding passes to everyone with a designated destination to Greece, Finland, France, Thailand, or Puerto Rico. The boarding pass identified our seating assignment within the dining ballroom. As we entered the ballroom, we noticed the ballroom and dining tables were decorated based on known tourist attractions found in Greece, Finland, France, Thailand, and Puerto Rico. Desiree went beyond what we expected by creating a video for our guests to enjoy at the start of the dinner service. The video highlighted the amazing places we plan to visit during our travel to these countries. Desiree is a very talented and extremely resourceful event planner. My husband and I are so grateful for the “experience” Desiree created during our retirement celebration.

They Literally were the perfect planners for us. We contacted them WEEKS before the wedding and they were on point from the first conversation. From the first initial meeting . all the way until the day of, Moments of Purpose truly were exceptional. Someone from Desiree's team (or more than one at times) were at every meeting with my different Vendors and venue visits. Desiree Blackshear was my wedding planner and have I have say this is on extraordinary person. From the beginning of planning she was there every step of the way and my wedding turned out exactly as we had planned. Not to mention she delivered her baby girl 2 weeks before my wedding and still managed to direct her staff on meeting my needs and was present to coordinate the day of. My husband and I had wanted a destination wedding in Jamaica and luckily we were able to find Moments of Purpose. Desiree was our wedding planner / travel agent. Although there were a few bumps in the road, her hard work and care ensured our day was stress-free and enjoyable. She paid close attention to detail and made sure our family members who were joining us were comfortable. When the wedding day came she was there by my side for anything I needed. She truly felt like a part of our family and made our special day a dream come true!

I really loved having someone to take care of "putting together" my event. I had done most of my research and knew what I wanted, and Desiree took it to completion. I entered a contest and won my day of event coordinator through Moments of Purpose Event Planning. My coordinator was Desiree. She was excellent and very easy to work with. She was on time and very well prepared. She took all my vendor information and contacted them immediately, I didn't even have to deal with them anymore, she handled that. When my wedding date arrived she made sure everything was exactly the way I wanted it. Time for the reception where she worked extremely hard because a lot of people didn't RSVP for my wedding which means I had more people than I anticipated which was no sweat for me. Desiree took care of everything and I never even knew there was a problem. This is a sweet, very professional lady and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is planning a very special event.
