Well Organized and Easy to Work with!

Madison and Chelsea took amazing care of our wedding day coordination. Madison was exceptional with planning each item on the day's itinerary and when the day came, Chelsea knocked it out of the park! We couldn't be more pleased with how our wedding went, and it's entirely due to their coordination and organization.

Kali and Mirwood Events did an amazing job at my wedding! I was definitely a DIY bride in a lot of different decor areas, and she tackled the day like a pro! Everything was beautifully set up, and she was on top of all of the little details. She even helped steam my veil last minute! I can’t recommend them enough. Thank you guys for everything!

Amazing Experience!

Olivia went above and beyond at our wedding to make our day as easy as possible for us, we cannot say enough positive things about her and her service. She was a day-of step-in for us, but she handled everything smoothly and professionally, making sure all vendors were coordinated and guests knew what to do. She took some moments with me (bride) to make sure I was doing/feeling okay, which I found incredibly sweet and thoughtful. I felt totally comfortable leaving the set-up, organizing, and schedule in her hands the day of the wedding.

We did the month-of planning package, but the MirWood team had a thorough day-of schedule for us to follow/fill-out, and was extremely quick with responses to our questions. Our rehearsal was at a different location than the wedding, which was a little stressful and chaotic for me, but everything went off beautifully in the end.

MirWood Events is amazing, don't pass this team up

Hiring MirWood Events was one of the best decisions I made in the wedding planning process! I knew pretty early on that I would need a day-of-coordinator because our wedding had separate ceremony and reception venues, and therefore twice as much work, communication, contacts, and confusion. Madison's services went above and beyond expectations from beginning to end and came at an extremely competitive rate. Her day-of timeline provided an incredibly comprehensive framework for our wedding day, and her service package (which offers so much more than I expected) included handling emails with vendors, which I took advantage of in the weeks immediately prior to our wedding.

When it came to execution, the MirWood team were beyond reliable. On the day of the Rehearsal, my MoH and I were walking to the venue 30 minutes before the rehearsal start time when she had a sudden medical emergency. While I stayed with my MoH, Madison and her colleague Anna got our Rehearsal started along with our ceremony venue coordinator (who was partially diverted to help me with the emergency). Knowing that this team could keep everyone together gave me the peace of mind to focus on my friend at that awful time. Without them there, the rehearsal would have completely fallen apart and our wedding would have been an actual disaster. I cannot express just how incredibly essential their presence was at that time.

On the day of, Madison and Anna were on site bright and early. They handled all of the setup for our reception, directed our vendors, corralled our guests with the shuttle to and from locations, kept everything running smoothly at both locations, AND took care of teardowns on a 1-hour deadline. They saved me and my family SO much effort and also gave me so much peace of mind. I'm so grateful to have stumbled across this gem of a team and can't recommend them enough!

Best coordinator!

We hired Madison as our day-of coordinator and it was one of the best decisions we made. She was extremely easy to work with leading up to the wedding, very responsive, and incredibly well organized. When the wedding day came we didn't have to worry about a thing because Madison handled everything perfectly, from coordination of our vendors to assistance with decor to being present to answer any questions that arose. She went above and beyond and made our wedding day go off without any hitches. Highest of recommendations.

Great experience!

We loved working with Mirwood events! From the first time we met Madison she was so organized and detail oriented. She helped talk us through so much of our day and planned for so many small details we didn’t even think of. Our wedding was scheduled to be during covid-19, and Madison made it so much less stressful, was flexible, and very responsive when it came to rescheduling. All in all a really wonderful experience!

DO NOT BOOK- Mirwood is horrible!!!!

DO NOT BOOK WITH MIRWOOD!!!!! HORRIBLE experience. Mirwood was the only and worst vendor at my wedding. A complete waste of money. Where do I even start. First off they do nothing to help the month before you’re basically paying for one phone call (about $1000 wasted.) When I asked for a second phone call it was very hard to arrange(even though 2 phone calls are included with the month before package) and the woman on the phone was clearly walking on a treadmill/walking pad and constantly was getting interrupted by people in her home the entire conversation. They try to market the month of package being better than just the day of but they did nothing for me the month before except 2 very short chaotic phone conversations. A couple of those responsibilities that they did not complete: they never made sure other vendors were paid that was something I did nor did they answer my emails promptly. The event coordinator who was supposed to be there the day of (who I never got a chance to talk to on the phone because she was always busy) was changed last minute. The document with the layout of decor, seating chart, etc was NOT referred to correctly because the welcome table and other tables were not where they were supposed to be. I had to fix them myself with the groomsmen’s. I was told the event coordinator would be in charge of getting the rings and marriage license to the officiant which did not happen. My mom had to run around and make sure that happened which took away from her experience. Also, I was told the boutonnières would be passed out by the event coordinator which they were not so my dad, father in law and all groomsmen’s went without their boutonniere. The bride should not have to worry about any of these details on the wedding day. I paid extra because Mirwood recommended I get a second coordinator to help set up decor and most of it was done incorrectly. I was a relaxed bride and didn’t let it ruin my day but Mirwood is unorganized, unprofessional, and lazy. I emailed them immediately after my wedding voicing my concerns and disappointment. They said there was nothing they could do because I had already paid in full (which of course I did because you have to with all vendors) and that’s about it. Truly a horrific company and experience. I have no idea how they have any good reviews and it was a waste of $1300 plus. If you want to have a stress free wedding day with a competent and helpful coordinator DO NOT BOOK WITH MIRWOOD.

Highly do not recommend.

The owner did contact me and tried to resolve the issue.

Horrible. My daughter and I are very laid back people, I don’t usually write reviews, but this was necessary. My family did most of the work, I shoild have hired them instead.
Argues with the guests
Slammed the door on a bridesmaid when she was trying to go outside. Was no where to be found when we the ceremony was over to move the flowers inside.
Started taking things off the tables when there was still guests there at 9:00, we scheduled clean up was from 10-11. Argued with me when I told her the coffee cart needed to be in the main area and then interrupted the bride and grooms private dinner and told them I wanted her to ask about the coffee cart. I definitely did not tell her to ask the bride, I’m the brides mother if I wanted the bride to be asked I would have done so.
Tried to change things the bride asked for. Every little thing was an argument. We were supposed to have two people, one came late and left early. Argued with me about the corsages, they were pin ones and argued that they were supposed to go on the wrist.
They let people in the reception before the ceremony even began. When I told her they needed to be out she did nothing. So much more, but there isn’t enough time in the day.

Do not hire

All talk and no action. Lazy, dishonest, and incompetent. If you want a wedding day where you don't have to do all of the coordination yourself then I'd recommend going to one of the many other talented and hardworking teams here in Nashville.

Do Not Use Mirwood

Whatever you do, do not hire Mirwood Events for your wedding planning. I’m sharing this because our experience with their month-of coordination was beyond disappointing. Our coordinator, Megan, missed the mark in so many ways, failing to deliver on key promises laid out in our contract, like managing the wedding day itinerary and handling decor setup and cleanup. She showed up late, an hour after things had already kicked off, and didn’t bother greeting or helping our hair and makeup vendors. There’s no mention anywhere in the contract or on their site about service hour limitations, yet her involvement was minimal and, honestly, unhelpful. She never even introduced herself, so half the time we didn’t know where she was. From noon until our ceremony at 5pm, she was basically MIA. She didn’t assist in the bridal room, keep things on schedule, or help with our family photos as requested, resulting in us missing two important shots we’ll never get back. When I needed my phone for the photo list, she was nowhere to be found, and she didn’t once check in to see if we needed anything. Her decor setup was half-hearted, with basic things like reserved seating left unaddressed. The worst part was at the end of the night when she handed us a trash bag and told us to clean up- not what we expected or paid for. We had to pack up our own items and even clean trash from the bridal suite bathroom, despite being promised that everything would be taken care of, including locking our packed car with the key inside. In short, Megan didn’t provide the support we needed, and the disorganization added stress to a day that should have been joyful. I can’t recommend Mirwood Events based on this experience. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra using a different company so you can have the day you dreamed of.
