She and Cassandra were just as excited about the stunning photos they captured as we were, which is a meaningful memory and added to the joy and excitement of our wedding day. Mikaela is such an amazing wedding photographer! She is easily accessible and I could reach her any day I needed to. From the beginning, Mikaela does a great job of getting to know us as a couple and our love story so I feel like she really understood what I wanted and paid attention to detail. To say the weather didn't cooperate with our wedding experience is an understatement. We had to reschedule our engagement photo session because of the rain but Mikaela was so accommodating, kind and flexible to find the perfect day for us. On the actual day of our wedding, it actually rained the entire day. We had planned for an outdoor ceremony but the weather just didn't allow it. Mikaela came prepared with umbrellas and all to make sure we got what we wanted. In the end, we were able to get some incredible shots even with the rain that came out absolutely magical. While I had some specific shots and poses I really wanted to get, Mikaela and her husband worked so well together and came up with some really creative ideas in addition to what I wanted. This aspect in a photographer is extremely important because she was able to do exactly what I imagined while also using her artistry to create work in her aesthetic which is what I initially fell in love with. If you were to take a look at our photo album, you wouldn't even has guessed that it had rained all day. Everything about her work is romantic, fresh, and lovely. As a bride who planned every detail of the day with no wedding planner, one thing I didn't anticipate was not being able to set everything up. I had to rely on all my vendors do get everything done and on time while dealing with the weather. It was so amazing to have a photographer that came on time, captured every detail I worked so hard on, and checked all the boxes of what I wanted. I loved how much preparation she does to make sure you get the shots you want. If you are a bride that is not very detail oriented, you will also appreciate Mikaela's creative direction. Her assistant who is also her husband did an amazing job with the groomsmen, capturing the happiness of our reception, and assisting her with everything she needed. You can tell they make a great team and as newlyweds themselves understand what a big and significant day it truly is. We now have priceless pieces of artwork that I will be showcasing forever.
