Michaela and Tim felt like friends the moment we met them--which was on our wedding day because we live in NYC and got married in SF. They made it all easy, from planning to posing. They truly brought out the true "us" WHILE making us look great! The results aren't just any wedding with our faces copy/pasted in. They could only be us. They'll give you the same experience and capture who YOU and your fiance(e) are. We highly recommend them!

Michaela and Tim were such a joy to work with, they made every moment feel so special and so exciting on the day of the wedding. They arrived and got right to work and made my husband and I feel so calm on a day with such a whirl wind of emotions. They were also really great at keeping everyone around us SUPER excited about the fact that WE JUST GOT MARRIED. There were a few points during the day where I as the bride wanted to feel so stressed, but Michaela and Tim, made sure that did not happen. They kept my husband and I smiling and laughing all day long, they also captured every single special moment and their photos are MAGIC. We are in love and can't believe how lucky we were to find Michaela and Tim, they were the PERFECT dynamic duo! They created and captured memories we will now never forget because of their art!

Michaela and Tim are truly something special. The biggest thing that stood out about them was that I felt like they truly want to get to know the couples they are photographing. And that was very important to us. Right off the bat when I reached out to Michaela, she asked to set up a phone call. Other vendors simply sent us email responses with photo packaging prices. Michaela was different, and our phone conversation was different.

She didn’t just want to know where or when the wedding would be, but she asked questions about me, about us as a couple. And that kind of vibe carried through the entire year up to the wedding. Michaela and Tim are such an adorable couple, and are so easy to get along with and that helped so much with taking photos. Naturally we are super awkward in front of the camera, but M+T made things so easy and comfortable.

Responses were prompt, whether it was via email, text, or phone call. Everything was so professional and so organized that I never had to worry or stress about photography – they had everything covered! Michaela even planned out timeline details to the T with my venue when it came to pre-reception photos (she’s the real MVP!) Michaela and Tim are so fun and easy to work with. I highly recommend them to anyone! You will NOT be disappointed. You not only get amazing photos, but you also gain friends. (We had told them we were going to Bali for our honeymoon and Michaela put us in contact with friends they have living out there. Talk about going above and beyond!) Thank you M+T for being a part of our special day, and for all your amazing hard work. We can’t wait to see the rest of the photos!

Michaela & Tim were the best photographers we could ask for! They made us and our guests feel so comfortable. They felt like family by the end of the day. They were so on top of our timeline and made sure everyone else was following it. They were basically back up coordinators. All the photos came out beautifully! They felt so natural and we got none we those awkward posed photos. Michaela & Tim did an amazing job editing and we received over 1400 edited pictures. I cannot recommend them enough. They made sure all of our shots were captured and we now have the most amazing photos to remember our day through.

I would have written this review sooner gotten, but I'm still obsessing over our wedding photos!! My husband and I were both a little nervous about selecting our wedding photographers. Not only is it a financial investment, but you are sharing some very special moments and we wanted to make sure we made a good decision.

We feel like we totally picked the perfect photographers for capturing our special day. Michaela and Tim's overwhelming kindness, professionalism, flexibility and patience was everything. Not only are they amazing at their art, but they are amazing people as well.

We had the extreme fortune of finding Tim and Michaela. Long before we had any other details set, we had Michaela Joy Photography booked! My wife was drawn to their beautiful photography and unique style, and after meeting with them, we both came away impressed with how genuine and understanding they were about our vision. They showed much patience with us throughout the process, and when we finally had our location set, Tim and Michaela were excited and supportive.

They also made us feel extremely comfortable. Neither Hannah nor I were your traditional wedding couple - we don't like to be the center of attention, and much of the planning of our wedding was focused on ensuring our guests had the party of a lifetime. With that in mind, it was amazing how at ease Tim and Michaela made us feel with being photographed. They have such a strong and genuine bond that it allows others who share the same bond to feel completely at ease around them. They also did an engagement package for us, which helped us feel more comfortable and ready.

Then it was wedding day, a beautiful October day in British Columbia. We met Tim and Michaela at the top of the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish, and the rest is history. They took so many magical photos at that location and at the reception in Whistler, that it was a chore narrowing down our top 500 (no joke), let alone finding our favorites among the unparalleled shots (which we've sent to friend and family as gifts - as they did a great job capturing our guests as well, which we loved and appreciated.) Tim and Michaela fit right in with our friends and family who had traveled to Canada for this wedding. All of our guests adored them; and our guests have showered much praise for their work, gorgeous photos, and their great attitude and presence at the wedding.

They truly captured the magic of that day, and we are forever grateful for the moments they captured in such gorgeous style.

A week after our wedding, an engaged friend of mine that attended already had Michaela Joy booked for her wedding. That is the best review I can give. But I'll gladly add more about how awesome Michaela and Tim are.

To say my husband to be didn't enjoy getting his photo taken is an understatement. After some encouragement to do an engagement session, we agreed and I'm so glad we did. Michaela made us feel comfortable and the photos show it. Her plan to allow us to spend some time with each other in front of the camera, and with her behind it, before the wedding worked!

Their style is unique and the photos captured the emotions and beauty of our wedding day perfectly. They were so good, I didn't even realize they were around most of the day, yet they still captured all of the best moments.

They even went above and beyond to help with some last minute emergency errands...groom needed his shirt and was in another hotel, eek! No problem, Tim will gladly save the day and take it to him!

Their communication is professional, their photos are stunning, and not to mention, they are hilarious and so charming. Thank you to the whole team for making even my now husband, a fan of photos!

Michaela and Tim are the best! They traveled to Colorado to do both our engagement and wedding pictures and did a PERFECT job. They are so fun to be around and are great at making you feel comfortable (which I'm notoriously awkward in pictures) and they complement each other so well. Michaela and Tim did photography for my wedding in September and it was PERFECT. Our package came with engagement photos and that was the perfect way for us to get to know Michaela and Tim and get a feel for how the wedding day would go. Michaela and Tim (who are husband and wife) work great together and make such a positive difference because they obviously know each other. Not only did the engagement photos and the wedding photos turn out amazing, they were so easy to work with! They took charge when needed to, but also listened to what we wanted.
