We knew we didn’t want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on florals for the day of the wedding without sacrificing quality and creating something that added a little extra beauty to the day. When we first met with Elyse, we showed her inspiration pictures with the general vision of what we were looking for for florals. She listened and gave suggestions of what she thought would work the best for us and our venue. MPS has table decorations for rent too so besides the flowers, they also provided all the hurricane candles for the table centerpieces. Elyse was also able to use a bouquet wrap and pieces of my mom’s veil/headpiece from her wedding in my bouquet in such a beautiful way. The flowers also didn’t die for a while after the wedding was over once they were put back in water. Elyse was so easy to work with, helpful with any questions we had and responded quickly to any emails we sent.

I cannot say enough good things about Metropolitan Plant and Flower Exchange and Elyse. In planning for my wedding, I had no idea what type of flowers I wanted. I found photos on Pinterest of faux flower arrangements for my vision board and was told by several florists it was not possible to create the arrangements I wanted, but Elyse did not hesitate and said it was absolutely possible. I really left it to Elyse because I didn't know which flowers would look good together, were in season, or which flowers came in certain colors, etc. Elyse guided me throughout the entire process with patience and a great attitude. Not only that, I had last minute changes to my wedding party just a few weeks before the wedding and she was so flexible and accommodating. My flowers were absolutely incredible; better than I could have imagined (and even more beautiful than the Pinterest photos I had found!) The colors were so rich and the flowers were so fresh. I will absolutely be recommending her to anyone looking for a florist!

Elyse is so incredibly talented and truly listens to all of your ideas. She was able to incorporate different winter and Christmas elements into our flowers - sprigs of holly in the bouquets, a wreath headpiece for our flower girl, berries in the boutonnières, white birch branches for half of our centerpieces. The beauty of the flowers just added to the magic of the day and night.

We used Metropolitan Plant & Flower Exchange for our wedding and couldn’t be happier with our choice! I met with a few florists, but Metropolitan offered so much more for the price. We worked with Elyse and she was amazing! She took the time to understand my vision and make sure that everything was how I imagined. One thing that Metropolitan offers that most other florists didn’t seem to offer was a sample before committing. After providing some details, we met with Elyse and she had put together a sample bouquet and centerpiece. They weren’t exactly what I was looking for, but Elyse noticed I wasn’t happy right away and worked with me to rebuild it exactly how I imaged right in front of me. In the end, the flowers were a perfect match and we had so many compliments on them! I highly recommend using Metropolitan as your florist!
