I had a vision of having cakes on every table as the center piece. I was super excited to find Mema's Bakery!! I looked at the girls portfolio and at the time thought her cakes looked better than half of the other places I had checked. I had to call them to finalize everything. Maybe that was my clue!! I wanted my cakes ready by 10:30a.m. the day of my wedding. When I went to pick them up they were not ready yet!!!! They told me that the person in charge of the cakes was in Kansas City picking up supplies. I asked when they would be ready and the women told me around 2:30p.m. I didn't feel that I was treated the way I should of been. They did offer to bring them to my venue (which was right across the street). When they did finally get there they were unacceptable. Lopsided, green food coloring sprayed on the side, different colors. I had ordered a super simple design ivory fondant with a champagne ribbon. She had run out of ribbon and finished my cakes off with piping. I was so embarrassed to put these cakes on the tables, but I had no other option. I did call and complain and they gave me a full refund. Although that was nice of them they ruined my wedding day!!!!
