If I could give Melissa 10 stars, I would. From the moment we met her, we wanted to hire her. As I told Melissa, she was one of my favorite things about the wedding, even higher ranked than my hubby! :P
She came recommended to me by a friend. As soon as I looked at her gallery online, I wanted her as our photographer! Her work is absolutely beautiful.
Not only did she give us gorgeous photographs from the wedding, but she was also a God-send to have with me during the getting-ready process the morning of. Being married herself, Melissa has experience as a bride and knows the ins and outs. If my mom and I were having any trouble with any part of the morning of the wedding, Melissa was there to jump in with suggestions!
The morning of the wedding was way more stressful and hectic than I'd expected. It went less than perfectly, my florist and hairdresser were incredibly rude to me and even made me cry, but Melissa's presence and warm smile helped me to calm down and feel better. I'm also a very Type-A person and she was patient throughout the entire process from the first meeting to the engagement pictures to the wedding.
Another plus - Melissa's turnaround time with the edited pictures was VERY quick.
I highly, highly recommend Melissa! We will be using her for our pregnancy pics one day! :)
