Melissa was our photographer for our wedding and engagement photos. To say that I am obsessed with our photos for both is a complete understatement. Her photos are absolutely beautiful, so organic, the best lighting, and caught every perfect moment. My husband and I never had professional photos done before and were really nervous, almost not wanting engagement pictures. She made all our shoots so effortless and zeroed out all our awkwardness. Melissa and her second photographer were the best hype girls you could ever ask for on your wedding day. Melissa chose the perfect photo shot locations for the vibe we wanted. Her candids and films are the best. There were so many photos she caught that I didn’t know were happening that have now become family staples. Before Melissa, I never knew photos could capture so much feeling. Communication was super easy with her questionnaires and check ins through the process, not a single photo on the photo list was missed. I cannot wait to have Melissa back for all our future professional photos.

I first saw Melissa’s work on Pinterest seven years ago and instantly fell in love. At the time I did not even have a boyfriend or know who my future husband would be, but I knew who be photographing my wedding. She was the first vendor I booked after my husband proposed, and from our first FaceTime call to the day we received our wedding photos, she was nothing but warm, professional, and all-around-amazing. I was extremely anxious on my wedding day (I’m not the kind of person who enjoys dancing/walking down the aisle in front of 120 people lol), but Melissa had such a calm non-anxious presence and this helped a lot. She was great about giving instructions for posing, so we never felt awkward, and she was incredible organized with great attention to detail. There wasn’t a single photo I asked for while planning the day that she didn’t capture, and every single one was stunning. So stunning in fact, Atlantic Ave Magazine put us on their front cover! She was early on the morning of the wedding and wonderful about communication. I would highly recommend Melissa to anyone getting married, you will not regret it!

We hired Melissa as our wedding photographer. From the first meeting she was energetic and bubbly yet professional. You could tell she is extremely passionate about her work and it absolutely shows. We did engagement photos prior to the wedding day and she was fun and easy to work with. The wedding day went extremely smooth. We just received our sneak peek gallery and are THRILLED! Melissa is literally the BEST!! She came highly recommended from my videographer cousin and she did not disappoint!! She is the sweetest and made our wedding photos a breeze!! My husband and I are not photo people and she made the photos so easy and comfortable. Our photos are perfection. I will use Melissa for any future photo shoot needs.

Melissa was the 2nd shooter for my ceremony and reception. I was all about DIY floral - bouquets, bouts, and centerpieces. I had worked on everything myself the day before, and I thought I would wrap the flowers in ribbons the morning of. I had in fact started but I was pulled aside by the hair/make-up artist. All I had to do was show Melissa my inspiration photos for how I wanted the ribbons tied, and Melissa ran with it. She finished off tying ribbons on my bouts for me too.

Next, Melissa was on point making sure I did not have flyaway hair or out-of place jewelry in my pictures. Melissa is the absolute sweetest, and in ways, I wish she was my lead photographer. I wore a heavy head piece that I wanted to removed (i.e. massive tikka, South Asian brides know what I am talking about) between the ceremony and reception, and Melissa was on it.

Literally, Melissa fixed my hair, my jewelry, paid attention to natural light. Melissa was such a sweetheart. It almost felt like she was a friend, ready to help with anything that stretched beyond photography, which is what she was hired for.
