From the moment I inquired with Melissa, she not only was super flexible and worked with our schedules, but went out of her way to make dates work! I had seen her work at multiple friends/family members weddings, and just loved all the finished products. We officially met at our engagement pictures at the coast, and she made the experience an absolute blast! My husband isn’t the biggest fan of having his picture taken, and she knows exactly how to get people out of their shell to feel comfortable and just have fun! We had the best day! Her communication was great throughout the entire engagement. She made to help us narrow down our timeline which was super helpful! The wedding day was an absolute dream. Her and her team were the absolute best! They fit in with any personality and know how to make a typically stressful day, feel seamless. Her wedding team went above and beyond to make our day so incredibly special. I can’t recommend Melissa more!!

Long before I was engaged I knew I wanted Melissa to be my wedding photographer, so when she was available on our date I was thrilled! She made everything easy along the way, sending tips & advice on things we never would have thought about. She was also very responsive to my questions and eased my mind when I got to overthinking. My husband has never been a fan of having his picture taken, but you wouldn't know it in our photos because Melissa made everything very comfortable. We got every photo we wanted and more!

We were a little reluctant to reach out to Melissa at first since our wedding was in the Bay Area but we really loved the work that we saw on her Instagram-- boy, are we glad that we reached out!

We had our engagement shoot a couple of months ago which Melissa was able to make on short notice for us. As the groom, I'll admit that I'm not the most photogenic and taking pictures is one of the things that I'm not comfortable doing. I'll also admit that my bride is very particular about what she wants and it was even difficult for us to find a photographer that she liked. Melissa was able to accommodate to both of us-- she was very friendly and personable making our photoshoot fun and enjoyable (it also helps that she's good with dogs!). When my wife had questions or poses that she wanted to try, Melissa was able to accommodate while also providing feedback on how we can make it look even better with certain poses/using the right lighting. Upon receiving our Engagement photos we were very happy with what we had received and they ultimately exceeded our expectations (See below).

Fast forward to our wedding day, we had major change in our timeline the day before the wedding and Melissa was able to accommodate and come earlier. From the time that she arrived, she and Marsha were very professional and provided a warm/fun tone in making us both feel comfortable and calm on our wedding day. Even when things didn't go according to plan and we fell behind schedule, they were both able to still provide a calming presence during the day while making sure we were able to get all the shots that we had talked about. Even though the reception ran 30 minutes behind schedule, Melissa and Marsha both stayed longer to make sure that they captured some dance photos for us as that was something we mentioned early on was important to us. We really do appreciate Melissa's flexibility throughout this process and also the creativity that she had in providing us what we were looking for and more.

When I viewed Melissa’s portfolio I instantly fell in love! I knew I needed to book her for my wedding.
Melissa was on time on wedding day and immediately got to work upon her arrival. She understood my vision, vibe, all of the details and all of the assignments. She provided direction when we needed it. She will tell you when a single strand of hair is out of place and will remind you to lower your wedding bouquet. She was very professional and genuinely wants you to have the most amazing photos. Communicating with her was very easy and she was always responsive. I asked about a million questions and she provided a million answers. She was in contact with my day of coordinator and other vendors for the wedding day timeline as well. Overall, we had the best experience with her and the photos were *chef’s kiss* beautiful!

When I got engaged, the first thing I knew I needed to do was to find a photographer. The photographer was the top thing that I really cared about as I knew they would be something I look back on forever. When looking at Melissa's account, I fell in love. I loved her style and how thorough she was with explaining everything since I knew nothing about weddings. I even had to change my wedding day due to a deployment and she was so accommodating about the whole thing. My pictures are absolutely perfect! She provides a very detailed timeline for the day that my other vendors raved about as well! If you are even considering hiring her, just do it! you will definitely not regret it!

Melissa is the most amazing photographer I have ever had the pleasure of working with. From the moment I met her, it was as if I had known her for years! She made our wedding day so magical. Melissa was amazing the day of our wedding and leading up to it! She was the best vendor we had on our team. When a vendor canceled or we had to reschedule our whole wedding because the craziest thing happened actually. A pandemic!! She was always there to hear me out and share my frustration and refer some great vendors! We truly love Melissa and will continue to use her for all of our photos in the future. Melissa did an amazing job not only capturing our engagement photos, but also our wedding day. She made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera and was very professional.
