From the moment I inquired with Melissa, she not only was super flexible and worked with our schedules, but went out of her way to make dates work! I had seen her work at multiple friends/family members weddings, and just loved all the finished products. We officially met at our engagement pictures at the coast, and she made the experience an absolute blast! My husband isn’t the biggest fan of having his picture taken, and she knows exactly how to get people out of their shell to feel comfortable and just have fun! We had the best day! Her communication was great throughout the entire engagement. She made to help us narrow down our timeline which was super helpful! The wedding day was an absolute dream. Her and her team were the absolute best! They fit in with any personality and know how to make a typically stressful day, feel seamless. Her wedding team went above and beyond to make our day so incredibly special. I can’t recommend Melissa more!! -

Book her, book her now!!
Long before I was engaged I knew I wanted Melissa to be my wedding photographer, so when she was available on our date I was thrilled! She made everything easy along the way, sending tips & advice on things we never would have thought about. She was also very responsive to my questions and eased my mind when I got to overthinking. My husband has never been a fan of having his picture taken, but you wouldn't know it in our photos because Melissa made everything very comfortable. We got every photo we wanted and more! -

We were a little reluctant to reach out to Melissa at first since our wedding was in the Bay Area but we really loved the work that we saw on her Instagram-- boy, are we glad that we reached out!
We had our engagement shoot a couple of months ago which Melissa was able to make on short notice for us. As the groom, I'll admit that I'm not the most photogenic and taking pictures is one of the things that I'm not comfortable doing. I'll also admit that my bride is very particular about what she wants and it was even difficult for us to find a photographer that she liked. Melissa was able to accommodate to both of us-- she was very friendly and personable making our photoshoot fun and enjoyable (it also helps that she's good with dogs!). When my wife had questions or poses that she wanted to try, Melissa was able to accommodate while also providing feedback on how we can make it look even better with certain poses/using the right lighting. Upon receiving our Engagement photos we were very happy with what we had received and they ultimately exceeded our expectations (See below).
Fast forward to our wedding day, we had major change in our timeline the day before the wedding and Melissa was able to accommodate and come earlier. From the time that she arrived, she and Marsha were very professional and provided a warm/fun tone in making us both feel comfortable and calm on our wedding day. Even when things didn't go according to plan and we fell behind schedule, they were both able to still provide a calming presence during the day while making sure we were able to get all the shots that we had talked about. Even though the reception ran 30 minutes behind schedule, Melissa and Marsha both stayed longer to make sure that they captured some dance photos for us as that was something we mentioned early on was important to us. We really do appreciate Melissa's flexibility throughout this process and also the creativity that she had in providing us what we were looking for and more. -

She is everything and more!
When I viewed Melissa’s portfolio I instantly fell in love! I knew I needed to book her for my wedding.
Melissa was on time on wedding day and immediately got to work upon her arrival. She understood my vision, vibe, all of the details and all of the assignments. She provided direction when we needed it. She will tell you when a single strand of hair is out of place and will remind you to lower your wedding bouquet. She was very professional and genuinely wants you to have the most amazing photos. Communicating with her was very easy and she was always responsive. I asked about a million questions and she provided a million answers. She was in contact with my day of coordinator and other vendors for the wedding day timeline as well. Overall, we had the best experience with her and the photos were *chef’s kiss* beautiful! -

Melissa was the most amazing photographer we could've asked for before, during, and after our wedding day. Melissa's work is timeless, romantic, and classy and is evident in her work. Absolutely Perfect!
Melissa is the most amazing photographer I have ever had the pleasure of working with. From the moment I met her, it was as if I had known her for years! She made our wedding day so magical. My husband is pretty shy and she was able to make him feel so comfortable the whole day. I also was planning our wedding from states away during a pandemic & she was so great with communication and being flexible. Melissa was amazing the day of our wedding and leading up to it! She was the best vendor we had on our team. When a vendor canceled or we had to reschedule our whole wedding because the craziest thing happened actually. A pandemic!! She was always there to hear me out and share my frustration and refer some great vendors! We truly love Melissa and will continue to use her for all of our photos in the future. Her style of editing is really timeless. I am confident we will look back on these photos and still love them just as much. P.S always say yes to the night photos!! -

Melissa did an amazing job not only capturing our engagement photos, but also our wedding day. She made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera and was very professional. Highly recommend this photographer!
Melissa is no doubt an incredible photographer. Her work speaks for itself. I was amazed when I saw other weddings she had done and even more thrilled when I got my photos back. When picking a photographer, you want someone who you can trust because you'll never get a second chance for someone to capture your day. Melissa is the person you can rely on. Her experience and professionalism is to be commended as well. While getting ready for my wedding (on the day of) Melissa was able to answer random questions we had gracefully because she KNOWS weddings. Corresponding with her before the wedding was easy as well. You have nothing to worry about when you book with Melissa! -

I don’t even know where to begin because my mind is flooding with wonderful things to say about Melissa. As soon as I found her online, I knew she was who I needed. Her style, personality, and passion for what she does are nothing short of amazing. From the very first interaction, Melissa made the process extremely effortless for me even during this pandemic. Not once has she ever given me a runaround as for why something can’t happen... she just has a way of getting it done! She is punctual but SO chill and trust me, that is everything on your big day. I remember certain moments feeling nervous and looking over to her for reassurance. She’d give me a mellow shrug and tell me it’s perfectly fine and everything is going well! I love that vibe about her.
Melissa delivered in a timely manner. We got our sneak peaks back right away. She was willing to work with our budget. She was willing to travel. She seamlessly worked around our several venue and date changes (COVID). I wouldn’t change a single thing about her or our photos (both engagement and wedding). I soooo look forward to using her for our future family photos.
Literally 10/10 recommend. You’ll be in the best hands, I promise! -

Melissa is absolutely AMAZING! Not only are her photos beautiful but she is a gem! She has done a lifestyle photo session in my home when we first moved into our new house, my engagement photos and my wedding photos. Of course, all the photos turn out to amazing but our wedding photo sneak peaks are stunning! My husband and family are so impressed and we are so excited to receive the full gallery. Melissa is always punctual, professional and she is very talented. She works so hard to capture the perfect photos. She also makes the session fun and light hearted. I am so happy I found her and look forward to many more years of working with her! -

Spectacular!
If you are looking for a wedding photographer and came across Melissa then your search is over and you need to pick her! Planning a wedding can be stressful, let alone planning a wedding in 2020. Melissa made sure she could help where ever she could and made sure we knew she was there to support us. She went above and beyond just taking pictures. And the pictures, she absolutely nailed it! We did our engagement photos with her and right away I knew we made the right choice with Melissa. It can feel awkward taking pictures at times, but she makes you feel very comfortable and the pictures look very natural! Our wedding day ended up being a nice cool 106 degrees, and from the look of the pictures you can't even tell. I am so incredibly happy we chose Melissa to document our wedding. Her style and techniques are exactly was I was looking for. I would 15/10 recommend her to anyone getting married. Her nighttime photos are a MUST and some of my favorites. There are not enough positive words I can say. She nailed it. Thank you, Melissa for making me feel so beautiful on my wedding day through your photos. -

I recently got married on 10/10/20 and I decided to change my wedding from 100 guests to 8 guests since both my father and father in law were at higher risk for COVID. Melissa was so sweet and understanding and was able to accommodate me. I was able to keep my same wedding date and she was with me for 3.5 hours instead of 7 hours. Melissa is worth every penny if not more! I am so glad my venue (Portola Inn) recommended me to her. They told me that she had saved the day when a cake fell apart at a previous wedding and she still made it look good. Her pictures are BEAUTIFUL and she captures such amazing moments. I always think I look awkward but she made me feel like a model! She is so professional, creative, personable, and down to earth. I was hesitant to hire her at first due to the cost but I am SOOO glad I did. These are photos you will have for a lifetime and you will be so happy to look back on Melissa’s wonderful photos. Melissa was also respectful and wore her mask the entire time. I never felt stressed or worried with her.
I also had my engagement photoshoot with Melissa in July and it was such an amazing experience. I was nervous at first since i'm usually camera shy and awkward but Melissa made us both feel so comfortable and gave us prompts/directed us for the entire 2 hours. We never felt lost and we had the BEST time. The pictures were absolutely stunning. Our friends were telling us our engagement photos were the best they've ever seen.

Melissa was absolutely AMAZING! She did such a good job with our engagement photos and the wedding photos. I honestly can't stop looking at my wedding photos. I have had so many people compliment me on them. She really listened to me on what I thought was important during the big day and really implemented details that I asked her too. I really liked how organized she was and how she directed us during the wedding. She made the photos seem so effortless. My guest even came up to me during the wedding and complimented her, before even seeing photos saying, how hard she was working and how on it she was! At the end of the night I realized I literally had ZERO photos of my wedding, I am so grateful that Melissa was there to capture every moment! Would recommend her to ANYONE! -

OH gosh where to start. Melissa was everything and more that I could have dreamt up. She was soooo sweet and professional. We had a bad experience with a previous photographer and Melissa took every step to make us feel comfortable with her and to ease our minds. The day of the shoot she was so fun to be around that taking pictures felt so natural. She was so accommodating and just overall a literal photographer goddess. She sent me a sneak peak of some images rather quickly and I was absolutely in love with them. Within 2 weeks I had my whole gallery and ugly cried when I saw how beautiful they were. I can’t stress enough: Melissa is my go to gal!!! I can’t wait for her to shoot my maternity pictures when the time comes, best believe we’re coming back for more of her talent! Words can not describe how grateful I am to have had Melissa as my photographer, but I will give it a shot!
After having a different photographer booked for several months and finding out 2 weeks before my wedding they were canceling I was frantically looking for someone else. Melissa responded back to me within hours and met me in person a couple days later to get more details from me and set up a shooting schedule for the day of the wedding. After meeting her and realizing how professional and organized she was made me so relieved.
On the day of, she brought a 2nd photographer with her and they were so prepared that we were able to take all the photos I wanted and we even had extra time for fun and creative photos! Maybe 24 hours after the wedding, she emailed me a sneak peek album with about 20-30 photos in it (like what?! I thought I was going to be waiting for months!!)
Melissa is friendly, kind, organized, professional, proactive, and above all she takes the most beautiful, bright, happy photos. (Also, can I just say I never realized how amazing black and white photos were until she sent me some! Like wow! 😍) So, if you want your wedding to live forever through photos and remember how beautiful and happy that day was then book Melissa. She will exceed your expectations in every way. ♥️ -

Melissa was our wedding photographer and we would recommend her with zero hesitation! We shopped around for a few quotes on photographers and Melissa not only had the best value but she is top talent! Melissa is organized, professional, patient, personable and any other positive adjective you can think of. We loved her from the moment we met during our engagement session and she continued to wow us ever since. She basically planned our wedding day with her detailed timeline and was always happy to make any changes we requested. Her pictures are gorgeous. We also really appreciated that she made sure to get to know us and what was important to us so she could make sure she gave us everything we wanted. Melissa is such a phenomenal photographer! She photographed my wedding March of 2018. When I met her for the first time she was so nice and taught me so much about wedding pictures! I honestly had idea there was so much to it. I just thought it was a few pictures here and there. Right then and there I knew she was the prefect one for the job! The day of my wedding it poured the entire time. But she didn’t let the rain stop her from capturing my big day. She stood in the rain and took pictures the entire night, she didn’t care that she was getting soaked all she cared about was getting beautiful pictures. Which she did! I love all my wedding pictures. I still use her to this day for any type of pictures I need because I am in love with her work! Don’t think twice about booking her for your special day, she is the right one and you won’t regret it!! -

Melissa was such a pleasure to work with. She was very attentive to my requests and really saved my sanity on my wedding day! She provided a detailed timeline which was incredibly helpful but was also flexible when something didn't fall exactly in line. I am still in awe of the 700+ amazing photos she provided from my wedding in July. She was able to capture so many one time, special moments and having photos to reminisce and be reminded of our special day for years to come is priceless! I highly recommend Melissa, she is one of the sweetest people I've ever met and she made me and my husband feel so comfortable even before we met in person. I am having such a hard time picking my favorite pictures to frame because there are SO MANY amazing shots! She managed to catch a ton of details and fun little moments. I feel like everyone’s personalities truly show in the photos and it makes me cherish them much more. I have a tendency to be a little awkward for pictures but she made me feels so comfortable and we were laughing and smiling the whole time. She also managed to get my husband to loosen up for pictures and he hates getting his picture taken. Lol I’m totally blown away with her professionalism and talent. I got a bunch sneak peeks back almost immediately and her turnaround time for my (huge) wedding gallery was so fast. She’s just amazing. The whole experience was very relaxed and fun. I highly, highly recommend her to anyone needing photos done.

The quality of Melissa Brannon's work is absolutely amazing. They look like Pinterest photos come to life. I love her photographing style, and though I wasn't planning on spending so much money on wedding photographs with no video, I absolutely do not regret having her as my photographer, because looking at the photos, I'm still amazed by her work.
Not only are the photos beautiful, she was very flexible and easy to work with. The engagement photos were included with the package I chose, and let me tell you, she executed our vision perfectly. She worked with me to see how I want her to work during the wedding, and was always so responsive, which was very important to me. I would absolutely love to work with her again. -
