Melissa was everything we could have wanted from a photographer and more! She is kind, knowledgeable, steadfast, professional, friendly, helpful, proactive, insistent, flexible, joyful, and all around fantastic! Her portfolio can speak for itself, I mean just look at those shots! They are timeless and capture the essence of each couple perfectly. What really drew us to Melissa though, was her unique ability to capture the candid moments. Looking through our gallery, there were of course the fantastic formal photos and more guided shots, but my absolute favorites were all of the other shots, the in the moment shots. She does a great job of capturing people in their best light, even when they’re not posing.

Based on how flawless our engagement shoot with her went and how stressed I (the bride) was on the day of our wedding, we were a little nervous about the pictures. The engagement shoot was so smooth and we vibed together so well. The wedding day was very overwhelming and we both were worried that it would show on our faces. But every time Melissa was around (which was often thank goodness!), we were both immediately more calm. We had to pause looking through the gallery because they were too good and we were crying too much. 

We cannot recommend Melissa more! She is top of the line, folks!!!!!

For what it’s worth, we are both 29, got married in East Lansing / Grand Ledge Michigan, and bought “The Ultimate Package” (which was super worth it!!)

Six months has passed since our wedding, and I legitimately go through our wedding album daily, still in awe of the beautiful pictures Melissa took. From the moment we met with Melissa, her energy was infectious. She is the kindest and sweetest soul you will find. My husband and I are both introverted, but Melissa managed to break us out of our shell for our engagement pictures. It down-poured during our session and Melissa went with the flow and captured the most amazing pictures. For our wedding day I opted for the additional details photos and they look like they’re straight out of a magazine. Melissa captured all of the little moments on a wedding day that you want to cherish forever. The candid pictures are an absolutely priceless treasure. Not to mention, Melissa spent the whole day hyping us up, helping rally up the party, and making sure everything ran smoothly.

At the end of the night, one of the only things you have left are your wedding photos. Don’t skimp on them, and stop looking further for a photographer. Melissa is hands-down the BEST photographer in Metro Detroit. I am so happy that we have a photographer to document all of our life’s moments. We love you Melissa!!!

Melissa was the most amazing photographer! She was more than a photographer, she made the whole day flow smoothly and worked with the all the other vendors to ensure that everything went exactly how I wanted it! She captured every moment I wanted and more! I could never imagine my wedding day without her. Everything she did for us was above and beyond anything I could have imagined! I highly reccomend her and everything she has to offer! She was also very reasonably priced for what she offers. She actually cares about her clients and genuinely made it her mission to make sure my special day was perfect! I can't sing her praises enough!
