We cannot say enough nice things about Matt and Peggy, they are truly the best… not only for just their photos but their amazing personalities keeping things light and fun for our day. They felt like an extension of our wedding party and we could not imagine our wedding day without them. The best laid plans don’t always go according to said “plan” and Matt & Peggy were so gracious in helping us pivot while still getting the photos we wanted. Matt always goes above and BEYOND to get the shot and we are so grateful to both of them for helping make our day all it could be. The pictures speak for themselves, but we would recommend Matt & Peggy to anyone and everyone. Best and easiest decision we made in wedding planning.

Matthew was one of the first vendors we hired for our wedding. After interviewing a couple photographers, we went with him for a couple reasons. First, his style. He took great "standard" portrait style photos but also took some more risks and did some more unique or artistic shots. We love that we got a mix of both. Second, he was generally easy to talk to and funny. We though he'd be a nice calming presence on the day of (we were right!). Third, we thought it was cool that he worked with his wife as a second shooter. I assumed that would mean they could work together effortlessly in a way that another duo might not be able to. Last, we really didn't want to do a first look and wanted to make sure we found a photographer who wouldn't try to convince us to do that and who could work quickly and efficiently after the ceremony to get us to the party as fast as possible!

All the reasons we chose him really shone through on the day of, and everything went perfectly. Matthew and his wife were wonderful and fun to work with. We just got our pictures back this week, and are simply overwhelmed with how many wonderful shots he got. The day goes by so fast, and you really feel like you hardly got to be a part of it. Having all these pictures helps me relive it, and get to feel like I didn't miss anything.

We look forward to working with Matthew any time we need professional photos in the future. We are also happy to share our photos with anyone as I know it was important to me to see full albums, not just highlights, before I selected someone.

Matt and Peggy were SO amazing to work with! They captured every moment perfectly, and our photos turned out amazing!! The style of the photos are so natural, and not forced at all. I feel we got our pictures back very quickly with such great quality, and we even received a lot of sneak peaks just a few days right after the wedding. It's been just over two months since our wedding and our bridal party and family is still talking about how fun Matt and Peggy were to work with and be around throughout the day. We are so happy to have had Matthew Thwing Photography capture our wedding! Matt was excellent to work with, before the wedding, during engagement photos, and during the wedding. He made us feel comfortable and at ease during the entire thing. He was also very flexible and accommodating as we were from out of town. My (now) husband and I met Matt 4 days before our wedding. We had issues with our previously hired photographer and at the last minute decided to switch. We met with Matt to go over his style, what we were looking for, and what we could expect if we hired him. When we left the meeting, we felt so comfortable and relieved! (we hired him the next day). On the day of our wedding, everything went extremely well. Matt (and the second photographer) showed up early and were ready to work. Not only did we love Matt but my mother and mother in law raved about him as well. They loved how professional he was and that he was taking candid shots of our small nieces/nephews. We received our photos back around the 8-week mark, which we expected. We had ‘sneak peaks’ along the way (some as soon as the day after the wedding!).
I know that when planning a wedding the budget can be a huge factor, but I can promise that Matt is worth every penny that he charges. We had previously hired someone much cheaper and it was a horrible experience (so horrible we were looking for a new photographer 4 days before our wedding). Don’t try to cut corners when it comes to your wedding photographer, these will be the memories that you have for the rest of your life!! I am so happy that we trusted Matt with our day and absolutely recommend him.

Matthew was on professional, courteous and wonderful from day one. We met him, and his wife Peggy at a convention, he took individual time to talk with us, and made us feel like we were more than a passer-by. We set an appointment for follow up. At our appointment, Matthew embraced our mothers being there, and really listened to our wants/desires for our day. Matthew took time to review what we were looking for and touch base with us after our meeting to ensure he was capturing what we wanted. Matthew's packages were on point! Prior to our big day, Matthew was in touch frequently to check in. I thought it was a unmatched personal touch and I appreciated it very much. In the weeks leading up to our big day, Matthew reviewed timeline, details, etc. so that we were not stressing any details on our day. The day of Matthew checked in with me, and of course I was in a panic, he went out to help me sort out an issue with the caterer and told me not to think any more about it! I was so relieved! Peggy and Matthew were so accommodating. They didn't pressure us for photos, or photo opps. They were not intrusive or pushy. Our photos are BREATHTAKING! I seriously love every single one! I feel so lucky to have worked with them, and to have come to know them. Matthew is my number one suggestion hands down!

Matt and his wife Peggy were fantastic to work with! They were very down to earth, flexible, and creative. We had been working with Matt for a while but he was very easy to talk to and did his best to make sure we were getting what we needed from him. I would say that our pictures came back classic, simple but very clean, and they caught some great candid moments. Definitely book them if you are looking for a laid back experience!

Matt was the best photographer! Not only did he capture my husband and I in our comfort and best features, he was fun. Matt was covered in grass from rolling around on the ground getting different angles. I now have the BEST wedding pictures a girl could ask for. As most married people know, your wedding day flies by so quickly.. I had no idea just how quickly it would fly by.. Thanks to Matt, I have the most captivating pictures to take me back to the most special day in our lives!

Matthew was absolutely tremendous. My wife and I used him for our engagement and wedding photos. Matthew was able to capture all the little moments of the day and really bring out the beauty of everything about the day. Matthew was extremely personable and great to work with. I would highly recommend him to everyone. The engagement photos looked amazing, and I am positive from the few wedding photos that I had the pleasure to see that they are going to be breathtaking.
