Who am I?

I'm Matt, the mastermind behind the cleverly-named Matt Pool Photography. I've been photographing weddings since 2006 and I love what I do. I like the finer things in life, like bushy beards, flannel shirts and a good margarita. My love for photography grew from my desire to document life's adventures, back when instagram and selfies didn't exist. Over the years I've learned that the best photos come from great experiences, so I try to put the experience first and photography second, knowing that if people are having a great time, I'll get some amazing and authentic photos. This is my approach as a wedding photographer, to let you be yourselves, in your element, and capture your awesomeness. Yes, I said awesomeness.

Who are you?

You don't just need a wedding photographer. You want one. You plan to have the time of your life on your wedding day. You are kinda madly in love. You want to experience your wedding day, let your love shine, dance till your dress or pants break and then need 13 hours of sleep to recover. (I certainly did.) You want to remember the whole story - the tears of joy, the high-fives of success, your uncle's wardrobe malfunction (okay, maybe not), the dog that got loose and ran onto the dance floor... I love it when my couples bring their fun-face, let loose their adventurous side, and aren't afraid to get their shoes dirty or get a little crazy. It's your party and you deserve some awesome photos that tell your story in an authentic, creative, and beautiful way. Because really, that's how it should be.
