I come from a family of artists, architects, and art educators. I’m the illustrator! I’ve been at this gig for over twenty five years with a client list that proves my point. My ultimate goal is to bring whimsy to various packages, signs, or products. If I can get your attention and make you smile, I have done my job. I am also the Chair of the Illustration Department at the Maine College of Art in Portland, Maine. Though, it takes away precious studio time, teaching has inspired me in ways I never would have expected. I live with my food photographer husband, Russell French, my two cats, and, when she is home from college, my daughter, Eda French. When I am not deeply immersed in a new project or standing in front of a classroom, you might find me on a mountain trail in search of a view.
