I cannot express enough how amazing Maile and her work is!!! First of all, Maile is such a joy to be around. She is really fun and positive and puts you at ease (which as a photographer’s daughter, I am ironically not comfortable in front of a camera). She has super fun prompts to make sure your laughs and smiles are genuine, and great clear direction that result in beautiful natural images. She is also insanely flexible and accommodating!! Not only did Maile go above and beyond with our engagement photos, traveling all the way to VA where we live for a second session due to unforeseen issues that cut our first session short, but it poured on our wedding day causing us to push up our staged photos prior to the ceremony and she also encouraged us to get out in the rain resulting in some BEAUTIFUL photos. She absolutely captured all the intimate and special looks and moments, which is exactly what we wanted. Maile and her second shooter blended right in too and let the wedding go where it wanted, capturing it beautifully along the way. I seriously cannot recommend Maile enough!!! And if you needed anymore proof, my dad (a professional photographer of 40+ years) is absolutely obsessed with all of our photos from the engagements to the day-of pictures!!

Maile is such a skilled and talented photographer! We knew we wanted a wedding photographer who would capture all of the genuine moments of our wedding, while also understanding the spirit and energy of New Orleans - and Maile and her team did not miss a beat! Having travelled from the UK to New Orleans to elope as a same sex couple we were worried about coming so far and not knowing anyone. Maile definitely changed that for us. She's an amazing photographer who helped capture our special day and immortalise this into wonderful pictures.

Maile is an amazing photographer and all-around amazing human. Early on in wedding planning we flew from SF to Nola to take engagement pictures with Maile. Our original planner (Three Little Words) that we ended up firing, never booked the session with Maile. I was in tears but Maile said dont sweat it and made it work. We had a great engagement shoot with her and, having recently gotten married herself, provided a lot of invaluable advice to us early on. She's so easy to work with and clearly loves her job. She puts you at ease being in front of the camera and on our wedding day itself, she's able to quickly think on the fly and she captured some amazing shots. Her style is colorful and timeless and she's an expert at capturing emotion in pictures. I absolutely loved working with her and highly recommend her!

I would recommend Maile to anyone who needs any type of photography. She was absolutely amazing! She is so organized and professional. Not to mention the photos are stunning! I am still in disbelief on how beautiful I look in them. Both staged and candid photos are beautiful. I am thinking of excuses to hire her again.

Maile did our elopement photography in April and I couldn’t have been more pleased. She is so kind and very easy to talk to. The courthouse was running late for our appointment and she was so understanding and stayed a bit longer than our one hour session. She is also quick to reply back to e-mails and messages. We got all of our photos back a few weeks after our wedding and they were stunning! She captured the day beautifully and I would highly recommend her!

Maile is really amazing! With less than 28 hours notice, I had to shift my wedding 24 hours, and Maile made it work. She was in Nashville when I called her from New Orleans, and she just told me to let her know when I make the call to move the wedding, and she would hop in the car. Maile also helped me think through rain plans and even reached out to her wedding planning friend for ideas. Maile is so considerate and talented. She also took our engagement photos, and they are so beautiful, and we got them back within like a week and a half! I'm not sure what kind of expectations the people had on here that wrote the negative reviews, but I'm here to tell you as a type A bride who had to switch a wedding in 28 hours that Maile was super responsive, professional, and went above and beyond her role as a photographer.

Maile was fun, energetic and completely on top of things. She was neither intrusive nor did she miss a single moment. On the morning, she even helped get me into my dress, side stepping a stressful moment caused by a lace up bodice! Her photos are spectacular!
