Gabby is absolutely amazing and captured my wedding day AND engagement photos perfectly! When I look through my photos, I feel like I’m looking back into a dream. She is amazing and I highly recommend using her as your photographer!

Gabby is absolutely amazing! I had a lot of questions and specific wants for my wedding, and she met with me and talked me through it all! She’s very understanding and easy to be around! The photos came out amazing! I’ll absolutely be using her again!

We cannot say enough about Gabby and Scarlet, and we can’t stop raving about the photos they captured of our wedding! From the beginning we fell in love with Gabby’s eye for beautiful shots – they felt natural, captured tender moments, and didn’t feel heavily filtered or posed. Once we heard back from Gabby about our initial inquiry, we were hooked. Her personality really shown through the text; we could feel how passionate she was and how much it meant to her to capture these moments. Gabby has been the easiest to work with – we modified our package probably 6 or 7 times – and she was always incredibly informative of what options there were, and even excited when we would bring an idea to the table. Gabby even modified our timeline so they could photograph further into the night because she wanted to get more fun shots! Throughout the buildup, Gabby was very communicative, which was especially appreciated given we weren’t in the same states!
Day of our wedding, and Gabby and Scarlet immediately put us at ease. They were pleasant and friendly – the types of people you meet who you felt you’ve known your whole life. We barely knew what to do, and Gabby and Scarlet were there, pointing us in the right direction, making us laugh, capturing natural shots that we now cherish. Gabby kept telling us how excited she was to develop these shots, and all of this led us to such a relaxed experience – we had *fun* and forgot about all the stress, anxiety, and nerves that typically surround such a big event. Our entire list of photos with family and wedding party was wrapped up right on time for our pre-ceremony cocktail hour, which was such a blessing – their punctuality and professionalism was really appreciated! Truly can’t say enough positive things about the planning/photographing of our wedding.
After the wedding (literally the next morning) Gabby had already sent us a preview of one of the shots, and that afternoon sent us another! She was very communicative of the timeline we should expect for the full gallery and sent us previews along the way! We got our full gallery about 5-6 weeks after the wedding, which was during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, and we felt that was a really quick turnaround for it! We are so thrilled with the gallery – the photos are everything we wanted! There’s so many special moments and people we love captured forever! We can’t wait to see the physical album – we just put together our choices and are already excited for it!

Gabby's work is BEAUTIFUL and I cannot recommend her highly enough. I was blown away when I got my photos back. Not only is she a wonderful photographer, she's also a treat to have along on a big day. My husband and I decided to have a small, elopement-stye ceremony, and we wanted to work with someone who would help us cultivate a relaxed and celebratory vibe on our wedding day. Gabby was the perfect mix of easygoing and professional. She wanted to make sure she was clear on our vision, and had all the logistics worked out, while remaining extremely warm and laid-back in a way that diminished our stress and helped us feel "in the moment" during our shoot. Finding a photographer was probably initially one of the most difficult parts of early wedding planning for me. I had a vision of vibrant, intimate photos that really looked alive, but I was struggling to find a photographer that fit that aesthetic. There are no shortage of wedding photographers in New Orleans, but none seemed to feel right until I stumped upon Gabby Chapin's website. My was first introduction to her work was through a First Look for an Elopement she shot a few years ago. You could literally feel the emotion coming through the pictures. I was immediately sold, and we booked her for our New Orleans destination wedding the same week.

Having Gabby as our wedding photographer was hands down one of the best decisions we made. We met up with her on one of our planning visits, and she immediately put us at ease. Gabby knows exactly what she is doing. She isn't afraid to lighten family dynamics (family portraits can be tricky at times), and she got every single shot I dreamed of and then some. Most importantly, Gabby is seriously the nicest person ever! My friends and family are still raving about how sweet and authentic she was. She was on the dance floor with us, and it was like she was a part of the family by the end of the night.

We just got our wedding photos back yesterday, and I seriously can say without a doubt that they are perfect. We are in awe. We love you Gabby!!

Gabby is an absolute delight to work with. She is everything you could want in a photographer but especially for your perfect day photographer. She went above and beyond to talk with me and get my vibe on how I wanted my day to be captured. She helped me navigate a destination wedding and even helped me navigate if I wanted a first look or not. Every single picture she and Scarlet (our second photographer) shot were absolutely amazing and I have had a hard time picking a few to show to family because they are all THAT good. She captured every inch and detail of my day and I’m so thankful for that because it went by so fast. Now I have perfect lifetime captures of all the details I feel like I missed or didn’t get to fully enjoy. The best part about her is she is so wonderful to interact with on this day- an absolute calming presence and really walks you through everything. She was there for every moment without being “demanding”- she never tried to stage any portraits (outside of the ones I requested) and she snagged every single candid fluidly. At the end of the day I didn’t feel exhausted by pictures but like I had made a new friend and I walked away confident that she had taken some amazing photos. I cannot recommend her enough. Her prices are amazing and her communication style and delivery was so refreshing to work with.

I feel like it was fated for Gabby and I to meet! I labored so much over the photographer choice more than any other vendor, and honestly please just book her now and save yourself some time. We couldn't have been happier with the work she created with us, for our engagement shoot and the wedding. Everyone (I mean everyone) who has seen our wedding photos has commented on how beautiful they are. Not only are they visually stunning, but something about the quality of her work feels so warm and natural, yet well-defined and professional. The colors are beautiful, too! I love how she captured moments I didn't even realize she was capturing! Her second photographer was wonderful as well. Gabby herself has been so fun and charming and professional to work with; it has felt like a true collaboration. I find her pricing to be on point, too. I'm not going to let our relationship end now, by hiring her for some business portraits soon (and remaining friends :). You won't regret booking her.

We're so so glad we went with Gabby! Being from out of town, we had to pick from a number of photographers based simply on their website and correspondence. Choosing her to take our engagement photos has been the best decision we have made so far on this wedding planning journey! Given we were in New Orleans for vacation and unfamiliar with the area, we contacted her via email and she was able to suggest a few locations. She made the session fun and we were very relaxed and ended up with lots of natural shots (which we love!) At the end, she turned around the photos in record time and made the entire experience extremely enjoyable.
