Hi, I'm Madeline, a Washington DC based wedding and engagement photographer serving couples across the DMV and available for travel.

I picked up a camera for the first time on a trip to Japan in college and fell in love with photographing people. The way a single frame can hold something true about two people together. That's what drives my work.

My approach is documentary at its core. I'm drawn to the in-between moments, the ones that happen when nobody's performing for the camera. The laugh right before the kiss. The way your person looks at you when you don't notice. I shoot on both digital and film, weaving them together naturally throughout your day so your gallery feels alive rather than staged.

From our first conversation, I want to get to know you and your story. The more I understand who you are as a couple, the better I can tell it. On your wedding day I offer gentle posing guidance so you always feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera, but my goal is for your day to feel nothing like a photoshoot. I work with you on your timeline in advance so you can stay present, soak it all in, and actually enjoy this time with the people you love.
