Living in LA it was really hard finding a photographer that was within our budget whose portfolio we liked. Since our first consultation call Mercy made us feel immediately at ease. She worked with our budget and customized a package that fit our needs for our engagement shoot and wedding day. She has a very calm and laid back demeanor that matched my husband and my vibe. We met each other in person for the first time when she did our engagement photoshoot. As soon as we finished that photoshoot and saw our photos we were 100% confident that we chose the perfect photographer for us. It was great reuniting with her on our wedding day. Our guests raved about how cool she is and she was really great and patient with the kids at our wedding too. She has a quick turnaround on photos which is an added plus! Mercy was a godsend, and I don’t know if I appreciated her more for her photos themselves (which are STUNNING) or for the easy experience of working with Mercy.

I spent hours hunting for photographers, reading their complicated bios, and filling out their ridiculous questionnaires just to get a (ridiculously overpriced) quote, before FINALLY stumbling across Mercy. The moment I found her website with her sweet blurb about wishing she and her husband had skipped all the wedding stress and just eloped on a mountain with their friends, I knew I was in the right place. Her website had a simple contact form rather than a 20 question survey and she provided her incredibly AFFORDABLE prices upfront. (Honestly, she could charge double what she does.)

Her photos of our elopement in Big Sur soared above our expectations and captured us perfectly without making us feel awkward of cheesy. She was our officiant, photographer, and essentially my maid of honor when I had a wardrobe malfunction. My husband and I’s wedding day was so lovely and stress-free because of Mercy, who drove over 12 hours to shoot our elopement with only a-week-and-a-half notice. She also brought two cameras, including a Hasselblad (film) camera that took the sweetest, vintage-looking photos of us. Our photos have surpassed our expectations and all of our family and friends who have seen them have been stunned by the quality and quantity of shots. One friend remarked that several photos looked like they could be a Vogue cover.

In the future, if/when we need a photographer again, Mercy will be our first call.

Mercy shot so many beautiful elopement pictures for us and I don't even know where to begin. We had to rapidly change our wedding plans into an elopement, as we have a terminally ill family member. We are so lucky to have found her & have been able to secure her, just a few weeks beforehand. She was incredibly compassionate, warm, and understanding. The way that she photographed our family with such radiance... it was so far beyond my imagination. From the beginning, she was helpful in giving tips for for obtaining marriage license & the process in general (& she is ordained, what a bonus). She was very communicative and easy to talk to. We felt like she was our friend by the end of the shoot. She laughed with us and the photoshoot felt so comfortable (for 2 very shy people who don't know a clue about posing). She also came almost 1 hour early & our family ended up showing up very early too. She did not hesitate to begin shooting for us right there & then. Her prices are very fair & our pictures came back the next day, which I have no idea how she was able to accomplish. You will not regret hiring her. We had an amazing time, good vibes all around, and we thank Mercy for capturing irreplaceable memories for us.

I was drawn to Mercy's work right away due to it's personal and down-to-earth vibe and we are so glad that we hired her! She is extremely hard working, responsive, and kind. She captured my husband and I's personality in our wedding photos perfectly and she got us all of our photos back 3 DAYS after the wedding. That is unheard of! On top of being a great photographer, Mercy also helped us with coordinating our timeline and acting as a calming and supportive presence on our special day. She also helped bustle my dress when none of my bridesmaids could figure it out! My husband and I are so grateful for the great photographer and person that we found in Mercy.

Mercy was an absolute joy to work with and I can’t recommend her enough. From the moment we did engagement photos with her, we felt at ease. Her work is amazing! She was flexible and professional but felt like a friend at the same time. Matt and Will we awesome as well. The entire team is easy going but makes the day fun while still getting the requested shots. Photos are the only tangible thing you get to take from your wedding day and they did not disappoint!!

I cannot say enough great things about Mercy. I liked Mercy's personality from the first email, but I could not have imagined what a perfect photographer she would be for my big day. She was efficient while remaining flexible. I hate group photos, but Mercy made them easy while still getting perfect shots of everyone! I didn't notice she was there most of the time. For my engagement shoot, my then fiance (now husband) was asked to make me laugh so we could get "candid" shots. Mercy actually caught all the perfect candid moments where he and I were laughing and looking at each-other lovingly. Her pictures captured everyone's personality perfectly. I love love love them

Our wedding was on September 26,2020 during the middle of the pandemic. As you may imagine, it was a very stressful time and Mercy was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish. She was very professional and timely, made the effort to get to know my fiance (now husband) and I, and showed she genuinely cared about our wedding. She authentically cares about photography and her passion for capturing moments showed throughout our special day. We also wanted a highlight video so we got the pleasure to work with Matt, her husband, who showed the same professionalism and passion for his work. I highly recommend them if you want a personal , dedidicated touch to your photos! Would definitely book them again if we could do it all over again.

Mercy is such a magical photographer and wonderful human being. Her energy and enthusiasm for you is consistent whether it’s an engagement session running around Los Angeles or the end of your 15-hour wedding day. Mercy was easy and comfortable to work with (even with the myriad of ceremonies in my multicultural wedding). She navigated our big day so thoughtfully and professionally. She even brought an umbrella for a few rain photos, made sure I had my jacket when posing for photos in the cold, and rolled with the punches of a chaotic wedding (including intermittent rain, long costume changes, etc). She was also super patient and organized throughout the formal family photos and those requested by my family.

When we sat down and decided what our priorities were for our wedding we both decided pictures were important to us. Unfortunately, we couldn’t spend our whole wedding budget on a photographer since we wanted to have food and a venue too, so we started what seemed to be the impossible quest of finding a great photographer at an affordable rate. When we stumbled across Mercy’s website, we thought it was too good to be true. Someone who does quality photography at intentionally low prices in order to benefit the married couple, who would have thought that exists? Well it does. Mercy blew us away and even now we still look at each other and wonder out loud about how great she was. She jumped right into the crazy preparations for the ceremony, calmly taking pictures and capturing small, sweet moments. Her eye for light and ability to capture sweet moments with family and friends was incredible. She moved family and formal pictures along quickly while being super kind! She was always there when we needed her to snap a photo but wasn’t overbearing at all. I would highly recommend Hasselblad Photography. She went above and beyond! Mercy was a huge reason why our day was special, and we are so grateful!
