July 2025 Wedding

Our time at Lucky Arrow was so perfect! We had a non traditional Sunday morning ceremony, followed by a mimosa cocktail hour and pool party reception. We planned this special day with our 25(ish) closest loved ones in 3 months and it was a breeze! The only hiccup in the planning portion was change over in roles, so somethings were slightly miscommunicated and needed to be reiterated. However this was extremely minor and before our big day, so remedied easily. Our wedding weekend was a dream and went off without a hitch! The only thing I would mention is that because we were a morning wedding, and I needed the bridal suite starting at 6am, there was no one on site, so we needed to find someone from the cleaning crew/maintenance to turn the AC down. Again, remedied quickly and without issue!! Everything the morning of was set up to my liking, and when we needed hired staff from the Lucky Arrow, they were at their post and ready to bartend/help!

It was definitely worth the price we paid and they worked with us to get everything we dreamed in our budget!

Killer Wedding Weekend

We had a glorious wedding weekend thanks to Lucky Arrow. We’re based in Austin, but had family coming from all over the U.S. It was important to us to have everyone together as much as possible, and the environment was ideal. There’s the perfect blend of social spaces: bar, restaurant, game room, pools, playground/courtyard area, and the staff was flexible and kind. We were worried that some guests would melt outside (wedding was in September) but because Lucky Arrow is west of the city, everyone was comfy with a hill country breeze. We had several events at the venue: welcome party, rehearsal dinner, and a huge pool party + brunch on Sunday. Everything went smoothly and we’d recommend Lucky Arrow to anyone that likes a little comfy (glamping) action for their special day.

Stanley wedding

My wife and I just had our wedding ceremony at Lucky Arrow Retreat, and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond—always accommodating, quick to respond, and genuinely helpful with anything we needed. The property itself is beautifully maintained, and you can tell how much care goes into keeping everything looking perfect.

One unexpected highlight was the pop-up bar the night before our ceremony. Our guests absolutely loved it and it made the whole weekend feel even more fun and memorable.

If you’re looking for a gorgeous venue with an incredible team behind it, we can’t recommend Lucky Arrow Retreat enough. It truly made our wedding weekend unforgettable

Magical TX hill country venue!

Lucky Arrow met both qualities we were looking for in our wedding venue: 1) a rustic outdoor venue in the TX hill country, and 2) a venue that could host our guests on-site. Paired with their recommended vendors, the team put together a magical night for us and our guests!

They have so many different spaces for each part of the event (ceremony overlook, tree grove, event center, rooftop, and beer garden), so the day never felt stale. There is also a variety of lodging options for our guests, and the venue felt like a party all weekend.

Amazing Venue! Highly Recommend!

We had the most amazing experience at Lucky Arrow Retreat for our rehearsal dinner and wedding! From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was the perfect place for our special day. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful—picturesque views, spacious indoor and outdoor areas, and an overall serene, welcoming atmosphere. Our guests had so much fun staying on-site, swimming in the beautiful pools, enjoying the gorgeous grounds, and celebrating with us.

Lucky Arrow Retreat was incredibly accommodating and worked seamlessly with all of our outside vendors, ensuring everything went smoothly from start to finish to make the wedding of our dreams come to life. The team at Lucky Arrow was easy to communicate with, always responsive to our questions, and made the planning process stress-free.

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding. Thank you to everyone at Lucky Arrow for making our day so unforgettable! Highly recommend!

Lucky Arrow Made Our Wedding Day Perfect—Highly Recommend!

We have nothing but positive things to say about our time at Lucky Arrow. It’s been a little over a year since our wedding, and looking back as we write this review makes us wish we could do it all over again. To help give a sense of just how great this venue is, we’ll break down our review into a few categories.

Location & Facilities:
We were looking for something close to Austin, yet still felt like an escape from the city. From the quaint charm of Dripping Springs’ downtown to the stunning hill country views, to the modern cabins and accessible walking paths, it truly felt like we had traveled to our own private oasis.

The main highlights of the venue—besides the cabins themselves—were the Overlook, Event Center, Beer Garden, trails, and the nearby Brewery & Winery (all within walking distance). The restaurant wasn’t open at the time of our wedding, but we’re sure it’s fantastic.

We really took full advantage of the Beer Garden during our time at Lucky Arrow. We hosted a Halloween party there, and the staff was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to decorate the space to fit the theme. It was a blast! We also hosted our wedding breakfasts there for all our guests, which made for such a relaxed and enjoyable morning. The only rule was to leave it as we found it—and we made sure to do just that. It’s such a versatile space, and we loved how it added to the overall experience.

We could have stayed for so much longer and still wouldn’t have had enough time to fully enjoy everything the site has to offer. Our guests stayed two days on-site with us, but if you can swing it, we’d highly recommend three full days: arrival day, wedding day, and a fun after-wedding day. You’ll want to keep the celebration going—trust us!

Accommodations:
The cabins were exactly what we were looking for, and the photos online are an accurate representation. We wanted a modern and comfortable stay while still feeling immersed in nature, and the cabins delivered on that perfectly. Everything was clean, and surprisingly, we didn’t have any uninvited bug guests inside!

Customer Service:
One of the areas where Lucky Arrow truly shines is customer service. Every staff member we worked with was so kind and helpful. As you might expect, planning a wedding can be stressful, and it makes such a difference to work with people who genuinely care and take the time to listen to your needs.

The biggest advocate for us at Lucky Arrow was Rachel Crocker, the Events Manager. She joined the team closer to our wedding date, and we’re so glad she did! This is the time when communication ramps up, and you’re bombarded with questions to finalize all the details. Rachel was incredibly prompt and thoughtful in her responses, which gave us confidence that everything would go smoothly on our big day. She really shined when working with our Wedding Coordinators to implement Plan B for rain, which involved coordinating the setup of a tent and adjusting the location of both our ceremony and reception.

I love Lucky Arrow Retreat

I am a wedding planner that has had the opportunity to work at Lucky Arrow Retreat several times. I can honestly say it is in my top 3 favorite venues ever. First, it's absolutely gorgeous! The combo of Texas hill country views and modern event hall makes for the most fabulous events. They also have a ton of adorable lodging so you can have your whole wedding crew stay with you after your big day.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. Highly recommend!

Lucky Arrow Retreat - The Perfect Canvas for Our Festival Wedding Dream

We held our festival-themed wedding at Lucky Arrow Retreat in November 2023, and it was nothing short of magical. From Thursday to Sunday, we hosted a multi-day celebration with our ceremony on Saturday and a weekend packed with fun, connection, and unforgettable memories.

We booked out every cabin on the property, and the incredible Rachel and Serena were instrumental in ensuring our guests had the appropriate accommodations. The newly added welcome center made check-in seamless, setting the tone for a stress-free weekend. The staff were incredibly welcoming, flexible, and accommodating to our vision, allowing us to bring in our chosen vendors and making sure every detail was covered.

Hosting guests for three days might sound daunting, but the Lucky Arrow staff made it feel effortless. We were granted immense flexibility in how we utilized the property, even hosting a silent disco on the restaurant lawn on Friday night complete with a full lighting kit and three DJs! From pools, firepits, and hot tubs to the event center, rooftop, and beer garden, every amenity added to the charm and fun of the weekend. The nearby wineries, breweries, pickleball, and mini-golf made it an ideal location for all ages, with plenty to explore.

Weather in November can be unpredictable, but Rachel and Serena were quick to recommend tenting vendors and ensure we had transport options with golf carts. Their support made the experience stress-free despite the touch-and-go conditions.

One of the most unique aspects of Lucky Arrow is the ability to host nearly all your guests on-site. Having over 90% of our attendees within the glamping compound was a game-changer, fostering an intimate and connected atmosphere. The kids had an absolute blast exploring the property, while adults enjoyed the wine tastings and nearby Abby Jane Bakeshop for incredible breakfast and cakes. (Seriously, their cakes are a must for any celebration!)

The staff went above and beyond, even providing additional security to ensure our late-night celebrations remained safe and enjoyable. Load-in and load-out were simple and efficient, and despite needing to vacate the property by Sunday morning, we never felt rushed.

Planning an ambitious DIY festival wedding was no small feat, but Lucky Arrow provided the perfect canvas. Their team was responsive and accommodating, and we found that proactive communication was key to ensuring everything went smoothly. If you’re considering hosting a wedding or event here, be prepared to collaborate closely with their team—they will go the extra mile to make your vision come to life.

While our wedding was before the restaurant and Airstream housing were operational, we can only imagine how much more incredible the experience must be now. Lucky Arrow Retreat is truly a one-of-a-kind venue that we wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking to host a wedding or special event. It was everything we dreamed of and more.

Thank you, Lucky Arrow, for helping us create memories that will last a lifetime!

Abysmal communications, even if gorgeous property

They don't answer their phone, it takes several days up to several weeks to get a response, often with incomplete or conflicting information - or sometimes never getting questions answered at all. They don't talk to each other so they can double book across salespeople, or across events like weddings & events promoting their property - make sure you know exactly what's on the books, what's in your contract, if you have to book alcohol through them, and get everything in writing.

I couldn't get clear pricing and felt swindled into the biggest package as if there was no other option, and then they 4x-ed the cost of alcohol on top of the already costly venue rental. It's important to look at all up costs for the full wedding knowing you'll be 12.5K or more for the physical location, tables and chairs. Pictures from their brochure don't represent their inventory, such as arches.

Be prepared to take care of every single last detail down to bringing your own trash bags. I would only recommend booking here if you have a coordinator that will do it all - definitely not just day of - and full staff catering that includes staff, rentals, all food, and bar. You'll need separate lighting. We piece-mealed it together not realizing how much had to be done to make this venue function for an event, which ended up costing us at least 3-4x what a more inclusive venue would have, totally 18 vendors throughout the weekend.

There are only snacks onsite, a food truck seems usually open next door for lunch, but otherwise, we fed our guests all meals through the weekend else they'd be driving into town or all BYO, which would hard for those flying in to get glamping / grilling in order. People were always on the search for water, the speakers in the beer garden weren't working and had to be fixed. They are way understaffed so ordering drinks from the pool is unreliable, for example.

Individuals were really nice. It just felt understaffed, that they weren't empowered to make decisions or make things happen, that their systems aren't set up for error proof processes. It was honestly a huge mess. I near risked my job to find the time to do all the necessary planning to get through it.

In the end, guests loved the property, the thoughtfully designed cabins, the pools, eating under the trees, the view from the overlook, many spaces to spend quality time together and rooftop dancing. So the ultimate guest experience is why I'm giving them any stars, but it was a terrible, stressful, heavy planning and execution experience from the bride's vantage point to pull it off.

Wedding Couples Beware

Important Warning: Do Not Book This Venue Without an Experienced Wedding Planner and Clear, Written Agreements for Every Detail

Our wedding day was beautiful, but the process of working with Lucky Arrow Retreat was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. If you’re considering this venue, please do yourself a favor and avoid it unless you have a wedding planner and everything you want explicitly documented in writing.

The issues started early and persisted throughout our planning. We experienced a constant turnover of staff, poor communication, and overall disorganization. I am genuinely amazed that our wedding day went off without a major hitch, and I attribute that to our exceptional wedding planner rather than the venue.

Our initial visit to the venue in September 2023 was marred by a mistake in our booking. We had arranged to stay two nights, but they only booked us for one, leaving us scrambling to find last-minute accommodations. This should have been our first warning, but we overlooked it, reassured by their help in finding another place to stay.

After deciding to book the venue for our June wedding, we made it clear that our top priority was having a fireworks show. Sophie, our initial contact, assured us that this was possible NUMEROUS TIMES. However, after signing the contract, we discovered that the venue had altered their policy to prohibit fireworks. This led to a prolonged and exhausting series of communications as we tried to find a solution, which ultimately involved hosting the fireworks at a neighboring property. This process dragged on for months, filled with broken promises and constant follow-ups.

Guest accommodations were another headache. Their website was difficult to navigate, leading to numerous booking issues, and some guests had to change rooms during the weekend. It was chaotic and frustrating, adding unnecessary stress to our wedding plans.

The weekend itself, while filled with joy and celebration, was spoiled by several issues: the restaurant was closed and food was not easily accessible for guests without transportation, the pool was very dirty, and the A/C in many rooms, and the event space failed during the hottest time of the year. To top it all off, the property was also riddled with multiple safety hazards, leading to several guests and vendors falling and injuring themselves.

After the wedding, the situation only worsened. We were blindsided by additional fees, including a $250 charge for “clearing brush” for the fireworks, which was never communicated to us beforehand. To add insult to injury, after the event concluded we were told conflicting information about the cost of the property rental for our fireworks show by different staff members and asked to send them a check for more money to cover the difference. This left us feeling misled and frustrated. We asked to speak with hirer management to address these concerns but were ghosted.

Despite these challenges, we made the most of our time with friends and family. The venue was beautiful, and we appreciated the freedom to create the wedding we envisioned. However, the numerous issues we encountered significantly overshadowed the positives.

In conclusion: Be extremely cautious if you choose this venue. Ensure that every detail is in writing, and do not underestimate the importance of having a wedding planner. The stress and frustration we endured were simply not worth it.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
