I worked with Robin at Lowe's Foods of Southern Pines for my flowers for a July wedding in Southern Pines. I wanted gorgeous flowers to compliment the Carolina-blue and green colors of the wedding, but I knew I lacked the talent to DIY or the funds for a specialty flower shop. I met with Robin with a few pictures from Pinterest of what I had in mind, and she was so friendly and receptive. She gave me some suggestions of flowers that would stand up to the July heat and responded quickly to emails I sent to update her on bouquet and centerpiece numbers. I brought in my own centerpiece vases and ribbon, so I was able to reduce costs there by shopping for bargains at Hobby Lobby and Michael's. I went with blue hydrangeas, ruscus, and white roses, and it was gorgeous. I received multiple compliments on the flowers. For monetary perspective, I ordered 12 centerpieces (blue hydrangeas, ruscus, and 4-5 white roses per), 12 boutonnieres (1 white rose with ruscus), 4 bridesmaid bouquets (blue hydrangeas), and 1 bridal bouquet (blue hydrangeas, 8-10 white roses) for $847. I'm sure the price goes up for more expensive flowers, but I felt it was very reasonable. You will have to pick up the flowers, but with a minivan and agreeable parents that was easy, and the cost savings were well worth it. Robin is so talented and sweet, she really made it a wonderful experience!!
