Amber (Hubbs) was such a calming presence. Throughout the planning process, she always put us at ease. After talking to her, my partner and I would look at each other and say: I feel so much better now!

Even though we only booked Amber for month-of services, she went above and beyond to be communicative and proactive. Because of all her hard work, by the time the month of the wedding rolled around, everything was already pretty much in place.

Several people told us it was the most seamless wedding they had ever been to, and that’s all thanks to Amber. She made sure people went where they needed to, and she dealt with all the little surprises that popped up. For example, we didn’t want any speeches, but a few family members tried to give speeches anyway (they were having a very good time). Amber shut this down so calmly and professionally that I didn’t even know it had happened until after the night was over.

Amber made it all look easy, and we were incredibly thankful to have her on our team. She saved us untold hours of stress. Cannot recommend her highly enough! You will be in excellent hands.

My wedding was 7/15 in Santa Barbara County and Amber C was incredible from the beginning. Communication was always clear and prompt and she helped me so much with planning and making sure that I wasn't missing anything. Hiring Amber Cowell and The Love Riot was one of the best decisions we could have made for our wedding! Amber was on top of literally everything from start to finish and was available to answer any and all of our absurd questions the entire time! We went with the month of coordination and it was honestly a life savior because there is no way we could have handled everything on our own. The timeline she put together was perfect and the fact that they handled ALL communication with every single other vendor was incredible and made the day run so smoothly! She had Trista assisting her towards the latter end of the planning process and she was equally great in everything - they made an incredible team and were there for our entire wedding day start to finish! They both ran through the rehearsal with us at our venue and orchestrated everything absolutely perfectly. We honestly can’t recommend The Love Riot enough and would absolutely work with Amber again in a heartbeat if we had the chance!

We had Amber Hubbard as our wedding planner and it was the best decision we made in the wedding planning process. We booked her for her full-planning service to help us bring our wedding vision to life - which she did to a T! We had great rapport and connected right away. Amber was a calming force throughout the planning process. She was always responsive - even with non-time-sensitive stuff, super present during meetings, organized, and I left every conversation/interaction with her completely reassured that everything I wanted or asked for would get done. She provided vendor recommendations, helped us negotiate our contracts, put out fires for us, provided us with payment and appointment reminders, and made the whole process enjoyable and fun for us. Amber helped us stick to our budget as much as possible and had great suggestions for us on how to make the things we wanted for our wedding work. The wedding weekend went smoothly and numerous guests even commented on how seamless everything was. Amber even built into the timeline alone time for us to eat and sip on our cocktails following the ceremony. We had plenty of time to eat before greeting, mingling, and partying with our guests. I cannot recommend Love Riot enough! Thank you, Amber Hubbard!!

Book them! Seriously you will not be disappointed! Amber Hubbard literally changed my entire wedding experience! I used the Love Riot for month of planning but it felt like I knew her and had her forever. I booked all of my vendors before signing on with Amber, but she truly brought the wedding to life and helped me conceptualize a bunch of little details and contracts to put together! My wedding was perfect and I am 10000% sure it would not have been without the Amber! So organized, talked to my vendors for me, coordinated for me, set up for me, put out fires for me, answered soooo many questions I had and advocated for me at every point.

I'm terribly embarrassed that it's taken me this long to write a review! Kim Hein from The Love Riot was our Day-Of Planner and aside from a small snafu with the ice delivery (which she handled immediately and efficiently), if there were any other hiccups in the process, I didn't know about them! (The best sign of a fantastic producer.) We had a considerable amount of vendors and a few friends helping with deliveries - and a sizable guest count - she helped our day run so incredibly smoothly, tying together all the threads we'd laid out and turned them into a beautiful scarf (this analogy got away from me a bit)... she was amazing! She even made sure that my husband and I had a moment to ourselves and a bite to eat before resuming all the hustle and bustle. Never try to make it through your wedding without at least a day-of coordinator and if you can get Kim, she's fantastic!

Kim Hein was our month of coordinator and she was so lovely to work with. We unfortunately were not able to get into our venue for a rehearsal the day before because it was booked for another event. She went above and beyond by showing up to our Friday welcome dinner location and run a rehearsal with us there instead. When she arrived we were behind on setting up and I of course was a nut case running around trying to get everything set before guests arrived. She jumped right in and helped with set up until we were ready to rehearse. We also had a couple negative things happen with some other vendors as well as some instances where things weren't exactly going to plan, and she handled them quickly and discreetly so that we had no idea until after our wedding. This allowed us to be able to enjoy our night stress and drama free. We also had a lot of stuff we were personally bringing to the venue, however we only were allowed to be at the venue for a total of 12 hours, including set up and clean up. Obviously it would be impossible for us to drive over a car of stuff in the afternoon of our wedding while hair and makeup and photos are happening. She allowed us to drop off our vehicle filled with everything early that morning nearby, and met us the night before for a spare key so that she could take care of unloading when she arrived that afternoon. After our wedding was over, Kim was on top of contacting the companies with the vendors that didn't go to plan so that even after our wedding we didn't have to be the ones worrying about contacting them. Kim is the best!!!

Kim Hein of The Love Riot was a great month-of planner! We felt capable of making all of the "big decisions" and getting organized on our own, so we went with month-of planning, and it was very helpful to have an experienced planner (especially with our venue, Millwick) tie up loose ends as the date approached. She jumped in seamlessly and was able to ask questions to address things we hadn't thought of, in a way that didn't overwhelm us. She was great at communicating with our vendors and advocating on our behalf. My main concern was details "falling through the cracks," but Kim did a great job of making sure everything was taken care of for us. Kim was invaluable on our wedding day to make sure everything ran smoothly. She put together a masterful, detailed timeline leading up to our wedding date, but even more impressive than that, she was able to be flexible and edit the timeline in real time the day of to best accommodate the flow of the day. I can be controlling and a bit rigid, but Kim exuded experience and confidence and it allowed me to relax and just ENJOY! She gets bonus points for helping my mom bustle my very long train!!

If I could give negative stars, I would.

The Love Riot and my planner (Courtney) failed to deliver at every step of the way, making a mistake that cost us thousands of dollars and causing us to lose our venue. We continued to work with them, as Courtney promised she could fix it, and they continued to mess up at every turn (failing to schedule appointments, lying about conversations with vendors that never happened, etc), causing stress and nearly ruining our day. At one instance, they tried to renegotiate our contract and charge an extra $1K for a service that was already included in our original contract.

When these grievances were brought to the attention of the owner, Amber, she simply cited that we should've brought them up sooner so they would've had a chance to try and fix it. They've refused to refund us for 5 months of wasted time and not a single item in place for the wedding, citing "administrative costs".

I don't wish their services upon any bride. I walked into this process wide-eyed and expecting that the Love Riot cared about making a great day for us. Instead, my eyes have been opened to their money-grubbing operation. I certainly won't make the same mistake again.

Edited to Add: Since writing this review, I've reached out to our lawyer to look into pursuing legal action against the Love Riot. In their contract, they include a "mandatory arbitration" clause, which makes it extremely costly and drawn out to take them to court, likely incurring legal fees beyond what we paid them. None of our other vendors had included anything so drastic and our lawyer said it's incredibly unusual to have such a clause from a wedding vendor. You have to wonder why a vendor would need such a clause if they were actually delivering on the services they promised.
