I don't know where to begin. My husband and I had a tough time finding an officiant that felt right for us. While romantic, we are pretty private people. We did not want a religious ceremony and were not one a lot of extra flair. We are also pretty progressive, so there were things about the ceremony that I personally wanted to avoid. The officiants that I came across felt cheesy and cookie-cutter to me. I wanted something different and I couldn't quite put it into words. THANK GOODNESS I found Pamela. Pamela took the time to really get to know me and my husband. It was really important to her that she understood and honored our wishes and vision for the venue. There were many times where my husband and I looked to her for guidance and she helped us to figure out what we want and personalize the process for us. One example was that I didn't like the language that my father would "give me away", however, I'm very close to my dad and I still wanted him to walk me down the aisle and to give my dad that moment. Pamela and I had multiple conversations and emails about the right way to word it so that it still felt special. Pamela came up with a beautiful speech referencing my fathers support from my first steps as a child to the steps we took down the aisle, and went on to ask if he supports me and my husband in our marriage. Needless to say my mom was in tears and my dad actually asked Pamela for her script so that he could keep it (which she gladly gave him). Pamela and her husband actually joined us for cocktail hour and then (as we had some no-shows) stayed for dinner and dancing. Side note - they can tear up the dance floor! We had guests approaching us all night, telling us how great they thought she was. It was such a special experience. I highly recommend hiring Pamela as your officiant. She'll make sure to make the experience unforgettable.

Pamela did an amazing job creating a meaningful ceremony for us on a short-time frame, was incredibly communicative, and altogether a wonderful officiant! She was very gracious with how scattered some of the planning went and made us both feel so comfortable, which meant the world as a young queer couple. Her presentation of the ceremony truly felt like it reflected us as a couple, and our family members who were in attendance were amazed that she had crafted a ceremony that felt so perfect to us just from talking on the phone with us a couple of times. Pamela was such an incredible part of our wedding. From the beginning stages of planning, she provided SO many resources and information for vow help, guidelines for getting your license in the town you’re getting married in, ceremony readings…and anything else you may need! She’s funny, kind, and personable and we felt really good about her marrying us. The love homework we did for her to create and tell a story of our relationship at the ceremony was by far our favorite part. After the wedding so many of our guests praised the ceremony and even thought we had known Pamela for much longer and personally with how well she told our story. 10/10 stars, book her!

We had a zoom meeting with Pamela from Love-n-Promises, and within 5 minutes my wife and I both knew she was the perfect person to be our officiant. She just had an amazing presence. She answered our questions before we even needed to ask them. We had an elopement with only 5 guests, and couldn't be happier with how she officiated our marriage ceremony.
