Total mess

So we were one of the unlucky couples who were going to have the wedding in May of 2020 but it had to be rescheduled to May 2021 due to COVID. We had already picked out what we wanted with the previous person in charge of Loring but then she quit and we were left with someone who didn't know much about what we could or couldn't do and it was honestly like pulling teeth trying to get him to respond to anything we asked. He also ignored previous agreements that were made with the original coordinator. Even the day of the reception Loring wasn't responsive to anything, it was a nightmare to find out even what drinks would cost which should be basic knowledge for them.

You're forced to have a $1000 reception coordinator which honestly they weren't awful but not really worth the price. We had an $8000 food minimum and $3300 drink minimum and if we tried to cancel we'd still need to pay which was bogus. We couldn't have as many people as we wanted but Loring didn't even offer other food options to try to get that $8000 food minimum make more sense (like late night snacks or literally anything else). Varsity is great but it's not worth the stress dealing with Loring.
