Jurek from Look of Joy photographed our engagement shoot and our wedding day. He was extremely professional from the very beginning, but also approachable and easy to work with. Jurek was fantastic. He took a consultative approach to our wedding very early on, months before our date, by engaging with us about who would be in attendance, people or scenes we would like him to emphasize, personal photo pet peeves, etc. It was clear that he was planning and preparing in detail for our event, and when the event day came, he exceeded our heightened hopes and expectations. He was polite and yet very assertive in organizing groups of guests for photos, positioning people appropriately, and making sure to clear the space he needed to capture important shots. Very friendly but professional, focused, and precise--but has a wonderful photographic eye. We loved the experience of working with him as well as the end result; our photos were fantastic. (We received numerous unsolicited comments, after the wedding, from our guests about how great Jurek was, as well.) Strong recommend.

Jurek was, quite simply, the only choice for us, as my (now) husband had worked with him as a groomsman in another wedding a few years before and had nothing but great things to say about him. From the upfront correspondence to the engagement photos, to the big day, Jurek was an absolute pleasure to work with. Jurek (and the second photographer he brought along) were in all the right places throughout the wedding day but never felt in the way. He pulled us out for golden hour, twilight, and sunset shots during the reception but found the right time (by working with the DJ I assume) to make sure we didn't miss anything.

The real magic, however, is in the final product. The digital album was more than we could ever have hoped for as Jurek was able to capture every single moment of our wonderful day in a perfect way.

By the time we received our physical album and prints, we didn't think we could be impressed anymore. We were wrong. The physical assets were incredible!

I cannot suggest Jurek enough. You will not be disappointed.

Everyone loves the GORGEOUS wedding photos Jurek took of us and so many of our friends and family. Our favorites are framed in our apartment. So many people have commented on what a wonderful photographer you are and how skilled you were in getting people to pose for pictures in a natural way. You were so efficient and patient and fun and this brought out the best in our family and our guests.

Jurek Schreiner's work at our wedding and the wedding photos he created are simply perfect. We are a bit astounded to be honest. They are beautiful, and yet they are very much like us, and they look like us, and even more we look like we remember feeling during that amazing day. Everything comes back whenever we look through them. Which has happened several times, already. It is a way or reliving the event.

We are also grateful for the experience of working with Jukre. We did not feel like we were posing, or halting, or spending the first few minutes of our married life contorting with self-doubt and discomfort into whatever necessary motions someone needed in order to take pictures. Every wedding I've seen includes that and we were willing to endure it if necessary for the sake of our families---but it didn't happen! Jurek somehow cultivated a space of privacy for us to connect and reflect and soak up the day, even as he worked to make images of us experiencing that time. It was an amazing gift.

We eloped so our reason for getting an excellent photographer was to share the day with family and friends afterwards and that has happened even more than we hoped for. We expected to be able to share concrete details of the day, the when and where and what, etc., but the pictures Jurek made do so much more than that. Our family and friends are amazed. People who love us are tearing up, and asking questions about the ceremony, and noticing details, and generally feeling like they can really see us there, doing what we did. The photos make everyone who loves us even happier for us than they already were, which is saying quite a bit! We are so grateful for this gift. Jurek has an amazing eye, is very easy to work with, and does incredible work. This set of photos is doing everything we hoped they would and more.

My fiance and I are getting married this summer, but we have worked closely with Jurek in the months since our engagement and could not be more excited to be working with him. From the very first time I met Jurek, I knew that he was the exact type of photographer I wanted for my wedding. He was so kind and genuine, and focused on people as people, not just clients, which meant a lot to me.

Jurek is extremely easy to communicate with, and has been very quick to respond to my countless emails and questions. Jurek was very proactive in setting up our engagement shoot, and was flexible with our schedules and timing. At first, my fiance and I were uncomfortable and nervous to be in front of the camera at, but within 5 minutes, the three of us were laughing and having a great time. Jurek was able make someone like me not only comfortable in front of the camera, but actually enjoy it!

The photos turned out better than I could of ever imagined. My heart is so happy every time I look at them, knowing that Jurek was able to capture us and how happy we are. I've had countless people compliment the photos and how lovely they are. All of the photos had a wonderful sense of being natural and real, yet at the same time beautiful and artistic.

Jurek's balance of professionalism and genuine kindness makes us feel so thankful that we have him as our photographer, and can't wait to have him there for our big day!
