I cannot recommend Haley enough! She was absolutely incredible to work with and I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup. H+M was something that was a little harder to plan for my wedding because it was in downtown Madison on Homecoming, so I needed someone who would be able to come to our venue downtown.

From the very beginning, Haley was communicative, efficient, and provided a calming presence! Myself, my bridesmaids, and the moms absolutely LOVED our hair and makeup! All of the stylists (Haley, Heather, and Jessica) were incredible- they did a great job taking inspiration from photos, while also customizing it to what everyone wanted.

We all danced the night away and our H+M held up the whole night. I cannot recommend Lilylux studio enough- Haley was a dream to work with and H+M was wonderful!

Haley is amazing at what she does! She traveled to a whole other state for my wedding and brought everything she needed to make my day perfect!! 10 out of 10 recommend!

Haley was amazing to work with! She was very flexible and SO responsive. Working with Haley was the least stress full part of our whole event.
We set up a trial run that I didn't 100% like but after addressing this, she quickly made adjustments and my makeup turned out great! She was so accommodating and even came to our airbnb the morning of our wedding so we had enough time to complete my bridal parties makeup.

Envision a woman who always has the same hairstyle... long and straight; that's me. I wash it daily when I know I shouldn't, but I just cannot stand oily hair. So, I am often told by professionals that my hair is "too healthy" to hold a curl, which of course means that all I wanted for my wedding day was curled hair (half up and half down). I had booked hair and makeup with a business that came highly recommended by friends of mine eight months prior to our wedding and went in for my scheduled "bridal trial" one month before the big day. Makeup was great! Hair was done by the owner of the business and it completely fell out two hours after the appointment, looked like I had gotten on the back of a motorcycle (I had barely moved during that time), and was incredibly disappointing. I spent a week being bummed out and feeling "stuck" with our wedding fast approaching. I finally shared my frustrations with our wedding coordinator and she encouraged me to be open to her finding someone else to do my hair. She referred me to Haley and I am SO GRATEFUL! Haley spent a few hours in total talking with me about what I wanted in a wedding hairstyle. We exchanged pictures and brainstormed together. Haley offered to come to my house for a long appointment and was confident that she could get it right. We learned that when my hair was half up, you could see my scalp in some places, so she suggested and we began discussing clip-in extensions to achieve a "fuller look." Never having had extensions before, she found some online for me (avoided hundreds of dollars that a salon would have charged), and we met for a SECOND in-home appointment to see if they would work. Then, on wedding day, she executed the style PERFECTLY. I sat in the chair stress-free, able to relax, and completely trusted Haley to bring my overall wedding day "look" to life. My hair seriously even looked good the next morning after sleeping in it, of course, it had fallen out slightly (an amount to be expected), but STILL looked way better than my original bridal trial! To say Haley is accommodating and result-focused would be an understatement. She is devoted to her clients, willing to go above-and-beyond, and understands the importance of small details. After our wedding, Haley did a third in-home appointment with me where this time I was a wedding guest, wanted my hair curled, and I knew exactly who to call... Haley.

Hayley was wonderful! We were able to create the vision at the trial, and then adjusted accordingly. My hair doesn't hold curl well and after leaving the trial I let Hayley know it didn't stand up to the wind very well.

She took the feedback kindly, and the day of was perfect! My hair stayed together the whole day. Her second did my mom's hair, and she loved it so much she curls it like that now!

Unfortunately, two of my bridesmaids hair didn't stay very well for the entirety of the day, but they have lots of hair.

Haley has great response time. I signed with her early on & a few months later I emailed her to get an idea for start time. I had 5 bridesmaids and me. Haley then told me I would need a second person and it would be a little extra money. I was a bit taken back because this was not mentioned earlier when the contract was signed. I responded to Haley that I would prefer to stay with what we agreed upon with the contract. She said that she would provide the additional artist at no cost to me so that we wouldn't have to arrive super early.

At the trial, I brought some photos in and shared them with her. I'm not someone that wears heavy make-up nor someone that wears it often and I definitely don't know all the correct terms or products. After the trial, I walked out to my car and was immediately disappointed. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I felt like I looked like a corpse in a coffin at a funeral viewing. The makeup was SO thick and, though I didn't know the term at the time, it was separating. I texted one of my friends who is a news anchor and is big into makeup and asked her if this was how it was supposed to be (I didn't know as I don't usually wear that kind of makeup!) She said no, absolutely not. She explained that the makeup was separating in certain spots and asked what kind of products Haley used (I didn't know) and if she had asked what kind of skin I have (dry or greasy, and yes, she did ask about that). I emailed Haley and made a few notes about the hair (although I didn't like the hair from the trial- I did get the sense she knew what she was doing and I wasn't worried about the wedding day) and makeup. Haley responded that she had used a new product and had noticed it was separating during the trial. For me, this was a red flag. I would hope that any makeup artist would stop things immediately if they noticed something wrong so they could fix it. And isn't that what a makeup trial is for? To see what products do or don't work? I asked Haley if we could do a re-trial of just the face stuff and she wanted to charge me $40 (which I guess is a discount... but why should I pay for something that wasn't my mistake??) When I pointed this out, she agreed and we set up another trial just to see the preliminary products and foundation. That trial went well - the color was a tad too light but the makeup stuck even through a 3 mile run.

As time got closer, Haley sent out a timeline to me. It listed 7am as start time and had the wrong date on it. No big deal, I responded and let her know but also that I didnt need a new copy. I also asked her if she was arriving at 7 or if I should get there earlier for set up. She said 6:45 arrival. A few weeks later - 3 days before the wedding - she sent out a new schedule with the new date, but with all the girls' times rearranged. I asked her why because I had already sent out a final schedule to the wedding party 4 days before. She said we could use the one I had no problem. The new schedule also has 7am listed so I double checked and asked if she was still arriving at 645. She said yes.

Day of the wedding I arrived at the venue and Haley was 10 mins late. I went first. This time, I watched the whole time and asked questions or made comments along the way (like for the foundation color, which she did change after I asked if she thought the color was actually too light). The makeup application all went well. Haley is an artist when it comes to eye shadow - it was really beautiful. After makeup, we moved to hair. Haley did a GREAT job. Unfortunately, neither lasted the whole day. Thankfully, I had bridesmaids who were able to recurl and repin and fix makeup by the end of the night (Note, because I went first my hair and makeup were done by 830am. So I guess it's not totally unexpected that it didn't last the whole day. The girls' makeup didn't last either and several had problems with the eyelashes coming off (including me). Note: all bridesmaids had their makeup done by Jessica.

Overall I was mostly happy with how things turned out.
