Lazy J Grand Lodge is a 2,560 acres, 4th-generation family farm located in Ideal, South Dakota. Nestled on the open prairie, the Lodge is spacious, accommodating, and welcoming. With an abundance of natural light through a 25-foot wall of windows, this bright, airy setting offers an ideal backdrop of rolling country hills. As a hunting lodge, it presents a relaxing venue filled with traditional comforts. Facilities and Capacity
The Lazy J Grand Lodge offers space for more than 200 guests and can accommodate up to 40 overnight guests. This venue presents couples with a range of settings to host their ceremony. From an outdoor occasion out on the prairie to an indoor event at the Lodge, there is a wealth of choice available. The Lodge Room offers couples a wide and welcoming space for their reception. With room for up to 100 celebrants, its classic hunting decor presents a timeless setting for your long-awaited celebration. Guests can also relax at the lodge's bar, enjoying a refreshing cocktail as they celebrate your love. An outdoor tent can be set up outdoors for a shaded setting in this country venue. Other furniture and furnishings can also be provided to couples to help make their celebration a seamless occasion.

Perfect Country Wedding Venue
Lazy J Grand Lodge is the perfect place to have a beautiful wedding event. There you will find hotel-like comfort in the guest rooms, and home-away-from home experience in the lounge areas, spacious patio with fire pit, and full kitchen and large dining area. The new Bull Room was the perfect space for a beautiful relaxed reception and dance. The beauty of the outdoor landscape itself is pretty tough to beat. My guests were in awe of the beauty of the entire space. Sunsets on the prairie are stunning, and you won’t find a more perfect view of the sky at night. My wedding guests and family loved star gazing from the fire pit on the patio. In these times of physical distancing, there is ample space for gathering both indoors and outdoors. All of the facilities were impeccably clean, there was ample access to restrooms, and overall the atmosphere is very relaxing. The Jorgensen’s are a wonderful family to work with; they and their crew couldn’t have been more accommodating.
