Elite Casino Resorts, who operates a collection of unique resort properties including this one, was founded by the Kehl family. Back in the 1960’s, they opened their first cafe before moving on to riverboat gaming. Their first riverboat, which just so happened to be the first one given a gaming operator’s license in Iowa, quickly grew until the family owned four riverboat casinos. Today, the Kehl family shares ownership of the Elite Casino Resorts, LLC so that they can offer visitors all across the United States a fun Vegas-style casino experience.

René describes her job as a little bit of everything! She oversees the spa (which is appropriate since she once owned a spa of her own in downtown Sioux Falls), gift shop, front desk and group sales. FUN FACT: René helped design and build the Spa at Rhythm City, our sister casino and resort! She organizes all golf tournaments and throws parties, too (pool parties, New Year’s Eve parties, you name it).
