Based in Port Sanilac, Michigan, Lavender Shores Farm is a charmingly rustic wedding venue with ample event space. Owners Dan and Christine Kelly have lovingly cultivated their farmland into something beautiful. Their motivation stemmed from the experience of planning their own wedding. In the year 2015, the couple set out to find a suitable venue for themselves. After much frustration at the lack of options, they took matters into their own hands, transforming their acreage into the stunning destination it is today. Dan’s relationship with his son also played a role in the establishment of the farm, which allowed them to work side by side. Following Dan and Christine’s ceremony in 2017, Lavender Shores Farm began breathing of new life. Now, the property presents endless wedding possibilities.

Facilities and Capacity

Couples wanting shelter from the elements on their big day will find that they have access to approximately 2,400 square feet of indoor space. The century-old celebration barn is both well-appointed and cared for, housing up to 150 guests for a sit-down occasion. It is equipped with a dance floor, a bar, and a spot for a DJ booth. There are two restrooms situated conveniently just outside the barn and a gorgeous ready room for the bride and her friends to relax before the ceremony. For those who wish to be closer to nature, or have a larger guest count, an acre of outdoor space is available to set up a tent for dinner. Just beyond this ceremony site, a lavender field presents plenty of opportunities for photos and more. In 2019, an additional seven acres of land was seeded with wild flowers, completing a versatile event location. Lavender Shores Farm also provides clients with the option of camping in a designated area for tents and RVs.

Services Offered

When renting the event space at Lavender Shores Farm, hosts can make use of restroom facilities as well as bar and DJ areas. Items available to rent include mason jars, a handmade wooden head table, signage, centerpieces, and tablecloths. Clients may also request fresh and fragrant lavender bouquets for their event. Should couples wish to offer camping accommodations to their wedding party or guests, Dan and Christine are happy to discuss possible options.
