Lakes at Lacey offers distinctive event spaces that are perfect for creating lavish wedding ceremonies, receptions, milestone celebrations, and other functions, including corporate and non-profit galas. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking 360-degree views of Lake Lacey, Hidden Lake Forest Preserve, and Morton Arboretum, all visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows encasing our sensational Lakeview Conservatory Ballroom—the centerpiece of our venue. With its round design, this 9,500 sq. ft. ballroom provides an exceptional setting for any event and can accommodate up to 400 guests for a seated dinner reception catered by one of our preferred catering partners, ensuring a delectable dining experience.
For those seeking to connect with nature, our outdoor space, The Grove, and our charming atrium-style Piano Lounge are the ideal locations to celebrate with loved ones, friends and colleagues. Lastly, our Grand Lounge is an upscale yet inviting space, perfect for hosting an evening cocktail reception—a fitting environment for family, friends, and clients to gather.
Situated at 3500 Lacey Road in Downers Grove, IL, Lakes at Lacey, formerly known as Esplanade Lakes by Doubletree Suites by Hilton Downers Grove, is now independently managed and is no longer associated with the hotel in this capacity.
Please note that venue tours are available by appointment only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and select Saturdays. We do not accept walk-ins. Get in touch with us today to learn more about our offerings and request a tour!

When it comes to rates, Lakes at Lacey offers flexibility in starting price points. We have no guest or venue minimums, and all our rates include taxes and fees. Unlike traditional peak and off-peak months, our pricing structure is based on specific days. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are particularly popular for bookings in 2024, 2025, and 2026.

I couldn't have imagined a more perfect day!
Finally the day is here! We decided to have both the ceremony and the reception at the Esplanade Lakes. With the pristine frosted lake as a backdrop, the ceremony was beyond breathtaking!! It was like walking into a dream! The staff quickly turned the room around from ceremony to reception in about a hour and we were ready to get the party started! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was spectacular, and the staff was extraordinary!! I did not have a single worry the day of my wedding because of the outpouring of care and professionalism demonstrated by Janet and her staff! I would absolutely recommend this venue for any wedding, for any season!!!

Janet is such a warm-hearted person. Her vast knowledge and wisdom were so helpful in deciding each and every detail ranging from the menu, decor, timing/coordination, etc. She was respectful of any personal requests/preferences and able to answer thousands of questions and/or provide her opinion and resources/recommendations. She communicated and worked with all of the other vendors, which made the final month of coordination a breeze.
We are so thankful for the incredible wedding we had at Esplanade Lakes and we owe it all to Janet Lobo and her staff! The food was delicious (filet minion, stuffed chicken breast, vegetable wellington), the event ran smoothly from 5:30 – 12:00am. Everything was absolutely perfect and beautiful!!
