La Jolie is established as a Limited Liability Company by its two co-founders and sisters Ruth Rivas and Renée Rivas. Since the sisters were kids they fantasized about opening a business together. Ruth was passionate about cooking and innovating in the kitchen, while Renée had a love for being her own boss and succeed as a business owner.
Ruth decided to explore her passion and studied at L' Academie de Cuisine getting her Chef certificate in 1999. Renée, after a successful career as a business owner in the export industry, decided to engage in a new business with her sister and founded La Jolie, LLC.
French Macarons are flavorful, almond based, gluten free, meringue cookies, filled with almost anything that will stay between the cookies. We use ganache, dulce de leche, or other fillings our Chef creates beyond traditional flavors for special occasions.
Our macarons are completely handmade; we use premium ingredients with no added preservatives or artificial flavors. The process of making French macarons is difficult and time consuming; Chef Ruth loves macarons and has worked very hard for creating delicious and colorful macarons we know you will love. La Jolie macarons are gluten free because they are made with almond flour and not wheat flour. The fillings may contain dairy and other nuts.
