We first heard about La Cucina through our reception venue who highly recommended them as a wedding caterer. After meeting with the owner, Armando, we knew right away this would be our caterer. He owns an Italian restaurant in Hanover and has been catering for years. When we met with him, he relayed his passion for his business and how much he enjoyed catering events. He went through his catering options and recommended dishes that would go well together for the summer time and appetizers for cocktail hour. He was very flexible to even try dishes they typically don’t offer if we wanted them for the cocktail hour or dinner for guests. After the initial meeting, he invited us back to his restaurant along with our parents to taste test a few appetizer dishes and dinner entrée options for the wedding. He took what we told him we both liked initially and dishes he recommended for all of us to try. In addition to the taste testing of food, this was a great experience for our families to spend time together and he offered great atmosphere for hospitality. For the wedding day, even though they had to travel roughly an hour to our venue, his team was very organized and professional when setting up the cocktail hour and then having to tear down and setup the entrees for dinner. The food tasted as fresh as it would have been served in his restaurant. We had penne ala vodka with chicken picatta and everyone raved about the penne a la vodka! Armando was even there the entire time to serve my wife and I our plates and stay to help the reception staff clean up the tables and food. We loved how personable he was to us and to our families which really meant a lot to us when choosing a caterer we could trust. He provided exceptional service with great quality tasting food to just enhance our wedding reception. We highly recommend La Cucina as a caterer for any event and look forward to going back to his restaurant to enjoy more of their food!
