Getting There is Half the Fun!
My goal is to tell a story, your story, through images that are vibrant with emotion, personality, and truth. My unique approach to photography is built upon the belief that relationships are what it’s all about. Your relationship with your fiancé, your husband, your children, your family, yourself – these are the intangible connections that a still image can reveal with the right person behind the lens. I want to make sure that we tell the story of how you arrived where you are today - those little details make it real! I love it when people look at an image I took and exclaim, "Wow! That is just - her!" That's the big payoff for me.

My promise to you is that you will enjoy what we create together from start to finish. When you look at your gallery of images, I want you to see yourself, your spark. The sky's the limit! Your creativity, sense of exploration and adventure, and personality are the key to creating a gallery of images that will be treasured for years to come. In the end, it's all about you.

Anyone can snap a picture, and there are many incredibly gifted photographers out there. So, why me? Because just as you are investing your time, money, and trust in me, I will be doing the same in return. I believe that there is more to being a photographer than showing up on the day of the shoot with my equipment in tow, following you around snapping pictures, and at the end of the day handing you hundreds or thousands of images to sift through on your own.

I believe that my job as a photographer is to become your life journalist – to get to know you and your family; learn your quirks, favorite things about yourself, and uncover something more than a just pretty picture. I see myself as a guide who will help you plan and prepare for success the day that we set out to document your life, whether that be a wedding, a maternity shoot, a split second in the ever-changing life of your children, a session that will capture your entire family tree, or that world-is-your-oyster moment of your Senior year of high school.

The day of our adventure, I will tailor my presence and services to meet your needs. Sometimes allowing things to unfold organically, and at times offering friendly direction and providing opportunities for you to shine. I think the Boy Scouts have got it right - always be prepared! I come stocked with back-up equipment, rainy day solutions, and lots and lots of patience. Sometimes you have to wait it out - especially with little ones or a stubborn thunderstorm. I am on this journey with you every step of the way, no matter what.

I also believe that it is my duty to help you navigate the sometimes overwhelming task of selecting your favorite images and presenting them to you in a way that makes them a part of your life, rather than letting them exist as a very expensive coffee table book covered in dust - or worse yet relegated to digital prison on a CD-ROM that may never get shared with your loved ones. When you hire me, you get the total package from soup to nuts. Life is a busy place, so let me help you by doing what I do best!
