This photographer grew up in Charleston, Oregon and discovered her passion in Portland in 1996. Krishna Muirhead had a borrowed camera, and used it to teach herself photography practices. She lived in Brazil from 1997 until 2008 and worked as a photojournalist there for about three years. Her work included a lot of street photojournalism for many sections of the daily paper. She also got a job as a basic assistant at a photo studio, a job that helped her learn her way around lighting and staging. She then worked for four years as a second photographer for a high-end wedding photography company in Brazil. Returning to Oregon she decided to continue her career as a wedding photographer in the states, where she captures unique and beautiful images on a couple’s wedding day.
