Reviews of KLassey Productions

Adore these people!

I cannot say enough about Kaila and Jay. From our very first conversation, they made me feel like my wedding mattered to them as much as it did to me. They asked all the right questions — how we met, where we fell in love, what made our relationship ours — and that all came through in our film. I've watched it probably 30 times already and cry every single time. Klassey Productions doesn't just film a wedding. They bottle the whole feeling of the day. Worth every single penny.

Where do I even begin? I advise you read this entire review. Kaila and Jay were nothing short of incredible. By the end of the wedding I found myself thanking them for coming, almost forgetting that they were our videographers because we had become such great friends with the two of them. They are meticulous, cutting-edge, professional, timely, and always go above and beyond. While we picked a package of theirs, they constantly were doing things that we had not paid them to do, constantly exceeding our expectations. Despite the wild, rapid success, Kaila and Jay remain humble. They are the highest quality you can find in this area. So much so that one of Nashville's most premier, highest sought after venues has locked KLassey Productions down as their exclusive videographer. Kaila and Jay never settle. They are constantly thinking of new, creative ideas to film taking the stress of creativity out of the bride and groom. However, if you have anything that you want, Kaila and Jay will bend over backwards to make it possible. My advice: contact Kaila. If they are available for your date then schedule a meeting ASAP. As soon as you meet her and Jay, you will be sold. If you don't want to rely on my review or any other, fine. Spend 30 minutes with those two and you will be sold immediately. They make you feel like friends that truly care about you and your day. Because they do. I literally had guests commenting on how much they liked our videographers. Bottom line is videography is probably the most important part about the wedding once it ends. It is the one thing that will allow you to relive your day forever. Do not skimp out. If you hire KLassey Productions it will be the best decision you have ever made. They receive my absolute highest recommendation.

Kaila and Jay are absolutely amazing! From the very first email exchange, Kaila was so helpful and quick to respond. She worked with us on our package which I appreciated so much! We didn't book until about two weeks before the wedding, and I am so glad that we decided to go with it! We should have booked much sooner, because they were one of my favorite parts of our big day. We really enjoyed meeting Kaila and Jay to get to know them before the wedding! They are so personable and fun. The day of the wedding, they fit right in with our friends and family and made it very relaxed and fun! The very next day, we received our one minute highlight video which was absolutely stunning. They are seriously SO talented! I cannot wait to receive the rest, but I just could not wait to write a glowing review of this talented and amazing team! You will not be disappointed with anything they do.

We stumbled on Kaila in an online search. We couldn't have found a better videographer. Excellent experience.

Disengaged, Lack Professionalism, Not Timely

I had high hopes for this Vendor, but a lack of professionalism, responsiveness, and ultimately poor quality of deliverables led to this review.

Why do I not recommend this Vendor?

We were told we would be delivered three reels and the vendor sent us examples. The examples looked great, but the ensuing experience was less than stellar and content quality was poor.

Content Quality:

Reel 1 - Great reel. It was fantastic and unique.
Reel 2 - Reused 30% of content from reel 1. Poor transitions / video clipping. Perceived as minimal effort. (this is an opinoin)
Reel 3 - In my opinion, this is not a reel. Literally just two videos, transitioning one to the other halfway through.

Communication and Professionalism:

During the wedding, the videographer / co-owner and I chatted very positively. There were some delays, and he agreed to stay longer than contracted. He said he would do this for free. I pushed back and said I would pay, but Vendor never followed up (I highlighted this because the Vendor could respond saying ‘we gave them 1.5 hours for free’). He said verbatim “You guys are some of the easiest people we have worked with.”

After the ceremony, and our initial text exchange (which I started), the Vendor went completely silent. After being politely persistent for a month, Vendor was short and negative in tone in her response after 30 days of not responding. After the final delivery of the contracted work (which I personally don’t feel like was lived up to), I told her we were unsatisfied and would be fine with simply re-doing the second reel. She immediately replied saying the contract is complete and stated she’s “never been harassed by as a couple as much as you.”

Below are the receipts of engagement. I will leave it to the reader to determine if the engagement on our end was inappropriate, given Vendor hadn’t responded to us for over a month.

Timeline:

April 20th - Wedding
April 22nd & 23rd - Mutual text thanking for the event and wondering when first real was going to be delivered (as in our conversations it was stated that would be shorlty after wedding)
April 25 - First reel delivered by Vendor
May 7th - Email requesting timeline: “Hi XXXX, Hope you’re doing well. I was curious as to when we should expect to receive the remaing videos. Thanks!”
May 10th - Text highlighting I sent an email earlier in the week (her preferred method) and hadn’t heard back. Simple ask of timeline of videos
May 15th - Email requesting timeline “Hi XXXX, Just following up on this. When shoudl we expect the rest of the material? Thank you!”
May 21st - Text again highlighting i hadn’t heard back from now two emails, and simply trying to understand timeframe. Only 1 or 3 deliverables have been sent. Tried calling as well.
May 22nd - Reach out to the videographer / co-owener saying we haven’t heard back yet, are empathetic to things popping up, and are simply trying to understand timelines (text and call)
May 30th - Emailed as we hadn’t heard anything since April 25th. “Hi XXX, We haven’t heard anything in a few weeks. Can you please update us? Thank you”
May 31st - Reach out to the videographer / co-owner again as I haven’t heard. please and thank you always used and highlight we haven’t heard anything back from either of them. (text and call)
May 31st - Vendor proceeds to negatively respond, act annoyed to us. Claims remaining reels in folder
June 4 - Last reel added by vendor
June 13 - Polite email highlighting disappointment, and offering a resolution of simply redoing the second reel
June 13 - Responds back within 30 minutes (fastest response time to date) stating the contract is fulfilled and we have been harassing her

Please take a look at my other vendors from the night and you’ll see glowing reviews.

To note: I did not tip the night of because I don’t believe you should tip until you see the finished work (I say this as Vendor could highlight that as ‘being cheap’. I’m glad I didn’t tip them, as this was a horrible experience. For comparison, I tipped the bar / restaurant 30% that night. Regardless, tipped or not, Vendors should focus on doing a good job, especially if they are an owner / operator.

Kaila & Jay are a truly dynamic duo! After working with KLassy Productions on a recent wedding I have now found our favorite videographer in Nashville! The best we have worked with - they are so creative and passionate while being professional and easy to work with. Kaila has such a way of bringing out those details that go into a couples story. So many fun and creative ideas - go pros, drones, stationary and moving camera. You can be sure that Kaila will not miss a moment and that your video will not only show you your wedding day, but allow you to truly relive it! Thanks for being wonderful Kaila & Jay!
