I had my dress altered at Kitty's Alterations and HAVE to recommend them to anyone looking for a seamstress. I bought my gown at David's Bridal and after hearing horror stories about how much their alterations cost, I sought someone else. The staff at Kitty's are extremely professional, and their work is top-notch. My dress was taken in a bit at the top, hemmed, and bustled, all for only $185! Not only that, but you couldn't even see where they had altered the dress--truly quality work. Not only that, but the owner took several pictures of me in the dress from many angles and emailed me the pictures that day. Totally above and beyond what is expected of alterations places.
Two days before my wedding, I noticed the thread loop for the hook at the top of the dress was a little loose for my liking (I had nightmares about it popping while being zipped up!), and I took it back to Kitty's in a panic. The owner calmed me down, had someone do it in five minutes, and didn't charge me (she'd remembered me from having worked on the dress)! She really takes care of you here.
If you're looking for a place to get your dress altered, PLEASE do yourself a favor and go to Kitty's. No one will beat them in service or price.
