Welcome to Kismet Studios, where we document proposal, engagement, and weddings and all things love. We are located in McKinney, Texas, but serving those in love no matter where they are. My name is Jennifer Cortes, owner and lead photographer at Kismet Studios.

I know that searching for a photographer can be overwhelmeing...There are so many talented artists out there, many with similar styles and work, with the best equipment, so deciding which one will capture your love story can seem like a difficult choice.

The most important part for me (in both finding the person to photograph my big day and being the one that captures the love stories of others) is connection. Before you even receive a contract to sign, you will have either been treated to coffee or have had a Skype/Facetime call with me. Why? Because the couples I have the honor of working with are more than just a number or a paycheck. They are human beings traveling an exciting and emotional path to the altar, and being their photographer means that I am on that journey too. If you are looking for just another vendor that you pay and don't talk to until the wedding day, I'm not your girl.

However, if you're looking for someone who is going to be wholeheartedly invested in truly getting to know you and your partner, someone you WANT to share pictures of the wedding dress you chose with, someone you feel comfortable talking to about things outside of wedding photography, someone you like as a human being and not just a photographer, but most importantly, someone you might constantly share cute dog videos with...then we might just be a great fit.

My goal is to capture every moment of your love story, from the proposal, to the engagement, all the way to the “I do.” Aside from capturing those moments, my goal is to also create an environment where you and your lover feel empowered to be vulnerable, real, and intimate. I promise that when all is said and done, you will walk away with beautiful imagery that will move you to tears and a photographer turned friend.
