We chose to work with Katie after seeing her work with my brother and sister-in-law's newborn photos. WOW! I could not be happier with our decision. Katie formed a relationship with my husband and I starting at our engagement shoot. She learned more about us as a couple and made sure we were at ease the entire time. She was even so dedicated to shoot while there was a bit of rain! Her turn around time on the photos was incredibly quick, as well. Once it came time for the wedding, we felt like Katie and Pat both knew our story. They felt like natural parts of our day. My husband and I could not be happier with our photos or wedding album either. Katie has the unique talent of capturing joy and small moments that occur throughout the day: an embrace from a family member, children dancing around, or the first look down an aisle. She finds all the perfect moments to relive your day over and over. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

Katie Kett is incredible!! Not only is she an amazingly talented photographer with a knack for the small but priceless moments, she's also just the sweetest and fun person to be around! We got to know Katie and her husband Pat very well based on the 2 engagement shoots, rehearsal dinner and long wedding day photo shoots we had. They made us feel so comfortable and just like fast friends by the end of the weekend! They captured everyone's joy so well - everything from the loud moments (doing the limbo with espresso martinis) to the quiet moments (getting ready and reading love notes/personal vows). Her photos are thoughtful and stunning - we really can't even pick favorites. She also turned our 1000+ photos around SO fast!
As an extra benefit, when our bus driver started taking us in weird directions that threatened to make us late, Katie stayed calm, cool and collected and even helped steer him to the right direction. Really can't recommend her enough. Thanks Katie!!

We worked with Katie Kett for our engagement and wedding photography and she did an incredible job. I'd first like to note that Katie is incredibly prompt, organized and professional -- all of which is so appreciated during wedding planning. From my initial inquiry, follow-up calls, scheduling, pre-wedding calls/email, she was on top of it all and very responsive. For both our engagement photos and preview gallery, the turnaround time was only a couple days. We also got our full wedding gallery within 2 weeks of our wedding. In terms of the photos: I stumbled upon Katie through instagram and immediately liked her style of photography (e.g. true realistic colors as opposed to being too light and washed out, how she captures light and shadows) but also appreciated her ability to capture emotion. Take a look at her instagram to really see that shine. Our final photos were such a good collection of beautiful artsy photos, photos capturing emotions throughout the day, detail shots, all the family portrait shots and reception moments -- all of which looked amazing in a varied assortment of venues (darker / moodier indoor lighting at our venue, lighter indoor lighting at the art institute, outside etc). Finally, Katie and Pat (her husband and second shooter) are very sweet and a calming presence on the day of the wedding. For much of the wedding day, Katie and Pat accompanied my husband and I and we appreciated their company through all the intimate moments. The weather threw a wrench in our photo plans so we had to revert to our rain plan (which Katie made sure we had planned for) and they stayed calm and collected throughout the entire day. Overall, I'm so thankful to have worked with Katie to document the day. As every bride clichedly tells you, the day goes by so fast, so having these beautiful photos to relive it is such a relief. Both my husband and I actually got a little emotional flipping through the preview album only 3 short days after the wedding. I'd highly recommend working with Katie!
