I would hire Degroot Film again and again. We had such a great experience with Katie & Devin for our wedding. They were responsive, had fair prices, and took the most beautiful photos. The quality of their work is top notch. I highly recommend Degroot Film for any type of photoshoot, but especially for weddings. You will not be disappointed!

We hired DeGroot Film Co. for our wedding in Baileys Harbor, WI on June 4, 2022. Katie and Devin were amazing to work with and the wedding photos and videos they delivered are incredible beyond words. We were extremely impressed with their portfolio and from our first video call, we felt their excitement for us and their work. They traveled for hours (with their baby, who was only a few months old at the time!) to take our engagement photos in negative 19 degree weather. We had never taken professional photos before, and Katie’s coaching helped us feel natural and have fun during our shoot. The portal and planning documents they provided were easy to use and helped us both plan for the wedding day and keep everyone organized on the day of the wedding. The team was extremely personable and helped everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera while simultaneously being assertive and keeping us on schedule, ensuring we got every shot we wanted. Our wedding album and videos are stunning. Looking through our photo album I can’t believe how many little moments they captured; our personalities and love shine through in every photo, and we love seeing all the happy moments our guests experienced. During our wedding many guests commented on how professional and organized the DeGroot Film Co. team was - they were unobtrusive yet extremely thorough. The video editing is done perfectly and we look forward to reliving this day over and over through their beautiful work. Our wedding day was a dream, and we’re in awe of how beautifully DeGroot Film Co. captured every moment. If you’re not hiring DeGroot Film Co., you’re doing something wrong.

Katie & Devin were an absolute dream to work with!!! We had such a great experience since the day we booked them. Their work speaks for itself, and on top of that they were so kind, down to earth, patient, and happy to help throughout the whole process. We were lucky enough to have Katie take our engagement photos and she made us feel so comfortable and the photos turned out so beautiful, capturing our personalities and relationship perfectly! My husband and I decided last minute to hire a videographer for our wedding after some important friends and family members were unable to attend our wedding in person. Our wedding planner reached out to her connections to see if anyone was available - and thankfully Katie from DeGroot Film Co responded that they could make a last minute booking work! Katie and Hannah filmed our day. Based on some of the sneak peeks, I can't wait to see the final product!! I was blown away. It is going to be so special to share the video coverage with our families and friends; as well as for us to have forever as a couple. Katie and Hannah were friendly and professional; they worked well with our existing photography team, despite being thrown into the mix just a few days before. They gave us clear directions with posing, and since we aren't natural supermodels, this was super helpful. I can't tell them enough how much it meant to me that they were there with us to document the best day of our lives.

Katie and Devin left us speechless, in the very best possible way. Capturing our wedding celebration with both film and photo, we felt that they were the biggest blessing of our day. They captured the love, joy, laughter, emotion, and happiness of our day. Their work is flawless, and uses natural light to highlight the best features and locations. The photography is romantic, whimsical, natural, sexy, and sultry. Looking at our photos, we feel like a million bucks! Most of all, we can SEE our love. We know that these moments will last a life time.
When it comes to video, it was by far the most valuable part of our day. To hear each other's voices, see what happened behind the scenes, and to watch our loved ones celebrate, there just are no words. The video will live with us when we are old and our memories start to fade. It will be our personal vessel to travel back in time and fall in love all over again. Having our parents' voices on the video warms our hearts knowing we will always be able to hear and see them. If you're a bride and you think you can't afford videography- my best advice: MAKE. IT. HAPPEN. It's worth every penny and you won't regret it.

Our experience before the wedding was just as wonderful as the day of. Katie is top notch with communication. She is organized and has great tips on how to have a wedding day run smoothly (isn't that what we all want?). Her and Devin were professional, timely, fun, and helped us 'look naturally romantic' - something we giggle about because we are two people NOT used to PDA or an 'audience' while feeling lovey-dovey.

Katie and Devin, I could write a novel. We appreciate you, we love you and we will forever and always sing your praises to all couples!

I cannot recommend Degroot Film Co. (Katie and Devin) enough! Katie and Devin are incredible. They are so professional, flexible, easy to communicate with, talented and so much fun! We got married in December 2020 in Mexico and were unsure about having both photography and videography but one of our best friends recommended Katie and Devin and it was the BEST decision we ever made. Their work is out of this world and they made us feel comfortable and at ease throughout the whole process including when being photographed. We are beyond thankful for them and their work. Working with them was an absolute dream and we couldn't have had a better experience. Thank you Katie and Devin for everything!

Couldn’t recommend Katie + Devin DeGroot enough. My fiance (now husband) surprised me and found Katie to shoot our surprise engagement and the photos captured how we were feeling and the excitement of our whole family. She was so professional (and hid in plain site so well!), we knew it was a no-brainer to ask her to shoot our engagement + wedding. We aren’t used to having our photo taken but Katie made us feel comfortable and went with the flow, even when our dog was being crazy :) Leading up to the wedding, the communication from the DeGroot team was clear and friendly. The online portal was easy to navigate with our invoices, contracts, and even Questionnaires that allowed us to organize which photos we wanted / where, etc.

Due to COVID, we had to adjust our wedding twice: once with moving the date and once with the location to an entirely different city. I was fearful to tell our vendors but Katie couldn't have handled the switch any better than she did. This put us at ease and gave us one less thing to worry about. She worked with our Wedding Coordinator to finalize details, times, etc.. Day of, Katie + Devin were a dream team. Working with so many personalities of our friends and family is no easy feat but they worked as if they could read my mind. Their associate was professional and a great sport, working in the cold November air to shoot photos after the ceremony! They knew when /where to be and how to capture the day flawlessly and were a great team to work with!

I can not say enough good things about DeGroot. We originally did not intend to hire a videographer, but when Covid hit we had to cut down our guest list significantly and we really wanted to be able to share a recap of the day with those who couldn't attend. We reached out to DeGroot the week before our wedding and they were completely on board to help us out! Devin was so amazing on the day off. He made us feel really comfortable and he was super fun to shoot with. He went the extra mile to capture breathtaking video for us and even convinced the venue to let us up on the rooftop after the ceremony. Having such a beautifully crafted video to look back on and share with those who couldn't be there is a gift I could never thank DeGroot enough for. I highly recommended them.

Katie and Devin are absolutely wonderful! Truly, from the first email (and there was many), they were responsive, receptive, and totally go with the flow while I went back and forth on what I envisioned for our day. Our engagement and wedding pictures are so beautiful and I cannot even begin pick a favorite. We also got all of our pictures back exactly when they said we would. Most importantly, Katie and Devin are kind, relaxed, and funny during shoots and that made us feel so comfortable. I loved working with Katie as I planned my wedding. She was very helpful, quick to respond, and offered great advice-all of which I really appreciated planning a wedding from out of state. When she showed up at the venue, it felt as if I had already known her a long time. She was incredibly flexible working two ceremonies in a small time frame while still taking time to capture the photos important to me. Kudos for putting up with the drunk groomsmen;). Her images are beautiful and she helped capture the beauty of the venue as well!
