TL;DR: Katie is nothing short of incredible, and you should hire her NOW if you want timeless, beautiful photos. You will not regret it. We did all of our planning virtually essentially because we were based in LA but were getting in married in Nola. But Katie made this process feel as if we were just around the corner. She kept in touch and took the time to get to know us as the big day neared. All of that paid off because we felt so comfortable on the big day. We could be ourselves with her, and that happiness and comfort showed throughout our photos. The photos themselves EXCEEDED expectations. I have shared the link with so many people because Katie and her second shooter, Eyol, captured so many moments at the wedding and everyone honestly looks incredible. People continue to comment daily on how amazing the photos are! The lighting is out of this world, the candids are great, and even the formals are still fun and not stiff (our primary goal, as Katie knows!). We also did a second line at night, which everyone tried to convince us not to do because the photos wouldn't be as good. Katie proved everyone wrong -- the night photos are SPECTACULAR. We love them the most and cannot wait to keep on sharing. Katie is also incredibly flexible and patient. We legit added an extra hour the week of, and Katie just made it happen without any hesitation at all. In short, Katie is amazing as is her work. You should stop looking and hire her. We love you, Katie!!

Working with Katie was a dream. She was willing to help us get a few specific shots that were important to us, including a big group photo, but also brought her own experience to the event. For example, we wanted a more private first look and she helped find a spot near our venue that was stunning and worked beautifully. She and her husband were extremely professional and the photos look amazing! She made two slightly photo-shy brides shine and helped us to be very comfortable with the experience. Katie was wonderful and easy to work with! She shot our wedding in October, and she understood and executed our vision perfectly. She provided our sneak peeks within 48 hours and our wedding pics within 8 weeks. Katie is professional, warm, flexible, and competitively priced. Her second shooter was great as well. We asked Katie to be our photographer for our surprise wedding in New Orleans. We wanted someone who could really capture the essence of the day, from first looks to group shots but also everything in between. We wanted true authentic candids and knew that our day would be a little less planned than your average wedding. Katie did just that and so much more, and we were so incredibly happy with her work. She photographed it all and the photographs are something we will cherish forever. I highly recommend Katie for her professionalism, ability to adapt (it started downpouring just after our ceremony), and for her true art with photography.

Katie traveled to our wedding in Virginia and we are SO thankful that she did! Her photos are beautiful and capture the spirit and energy of the day in a truly authentic way. We sincerely appreciated her focus on capturing candid moments rather than trying to force or recreate it just for the picture. In addition to the quality of the photos, she has an excellent presence on the day of that is key when the nerves kick in! When we were looking for photographers, we were very intentional about finding someone who could tell a story with their pictures - someone whose portfolio showed they could do more than just take posed pictures. With every album we saw of Katies, we felt like we were able to feel the essence of what that day must've felt like. After talking to Katie on the phone (which felt like I was talking to a friend I knew my whole life), we didn't think twice about hiring her to shoot our wedding in Vermont.

Katie did our engagement photos, as well, taking us on an adventure along the Vermont countryside in the late summer. She didn't bat an eye when we asked if we could include our two, crazy, energetic labradors in the photos, and when we started to get stressed that they were too much, her energy brought us back down to earth, reminding us, without even saying a word, that that was all part of the fun.

Katie is so intentional about making sure the love of the day is captured. We LOVE looking through our album and seeing the smiles on all of our guests faces, and the candid moments that Katie captured. Katie has a way of making you and everyone around you feel so special, and that absolutely shows through her photography.

Other than her BEAUTIFUL, natural photos, we were so thankful to Katie for helping our day run smoothly. We felt like she was able to help make our day flow and was so supportive through it all. Even during her third trimester of pregnancy, Katie stuck it out with us to the very end to make sure she captured all of our fun dance party pictures. Those pictures turned out to be some of our favorites.

If we could, we would have Katie take all of our photos for the rest of our lives. She is the best in so many ways, and we will cherish our photos forever.

Katie did an absolutely phenomenal job capturing the greatest day of our lives. We were and are blown away by how good the photos look. She is a truly talented photographer and we could not be more pleased with how she went the extra mile every step of the way.

Furthermore, she made the actual process of photo taking enjoyable. From the groom: “I was dreading standing in a row with interchanging family and friends for an hour, but Katie’s sense of humor and willingness to put up with me making constant fun of everything was a delightful way to mitigate my inability to stand still for more than 8 seconds. She helped make the only part of the night I wasn’t excited for exciting.”

Icing on the cake: she got us the first set of photos insanely fast and then the entire portfolio of photos in record time soon after. Super impressive and the pictures are stunning.

All in all: 5/5 stars - would get married again

We feel so lucky to have had Katie as our photographer. After seeing her in action at a friend's wedding, I knew that she'd be the first vendor we'd book! We actually checked with her availability before booking our venue - that's how much we wanted to her to be part of our wedding.

She's incredibly thoughtful in her approach and made sure that our identities were represented in the photographs. Her talent is undeniable - just skim through her photos and you'll see her gift for capturing the essence of individuals & events. I'd recommend Katie, without hesitation, to anyone looking for a high quality human who is very good at her job!

I cannot say enough good things about Katie Figura. Katie was incredibly professional, with a website that makes her services/packages easy to understand and a questionnaire to get to know you and your partner. She was always very quick to respond to emails and texts with any questions I had. She spent time on the phone with me discussing the details of the wedding day and even helped me structure the schedule of the day (honestly she could double as a wedding planner/day of coordinator!!). She asked thoughtful questions about my partner and I to get to know us and what our hopes were for our wedding to help capture the special day. And that she did! Katie magically made her way around the ceremony and venue in the most graceful way, snapping absolutely gorgeous shots with her incredible talent. I shouldn’t leave out the fact that she didn’t hesitate to jump on a boat for our first look and hike to the bottom of a waterfall sharing a few quiet moments with us before the ceremony for a photo shoot that could not have felt more natural and true to my partner and I. Her presence and energy was perfect. She is an absolute gem, and we are so grateful to have her beautiful photos to remember our special day! Thank you Katie!!

Katie's work was EASILY the best value in our wedding budget. She took one of my favorite photos of myself at a friend's huge wedding years ago, so I was thrilled to be able to hire her for my own microwedding. I think that's indicative of the range of beauty she captures and creates, not just of the people getting married but of all the loved ones and places around them. She's friendly and unobtrusive, so even people who usually don't like getting their photos taken feel comfortable (and look like supermodels, obvi). Her images feel genuinely intimate: they capture moments you were part of but forgot about, or between your guests that you as the bride/groom/whatever would have missed, as well as those magazine-cover posed images of yourself and your partner that will be on your wall forever. She has an amazing eye and her composition is just gorgeous. She's flexible, knowledgeable, communicative and professional. In short, Katie is a rockstar and a privilege to work with. I can't wait to be able to hire her again someday (fingers crossed)!
