Working with Katie was a dream. She was willing to help us get a few specific shots that were important to us, including a big group photo, but also brought her own experience to the event. For example, we wanted a more private first look and she helped find a spot near our venue that was stunning and worked beautifully. She and her husband were extremely professional and the photos look amazing! She made two slightly photo-shy brides shine and helped us to be very comfortable with the experience. Thank you so much for everything! -

We asked Katie to be our photographer for our surprise wedding in New Orleans. We wanted someone who could really capture the essence of the day, from first looks to group shots but also everything in between. We wanted true authentic candids and knew that our day would be a little less planned than your average wedding. Katie did just that and so much more, and we were so incredibly happy with her work. She photographed it all and the photographs are something we will cherish forever. I highly recommend Katie for her professionalism, ability to adapt (it started downpouring just after our ceremony), and for her true art with photography. -

Katie is the BEST!
Katie traveled to our wedding in Virginia and we are SO thankful that she did! Her photos are beautiful and capture the spirit and energy of the day in a truly authentic way. We sincerely appreciated her focus on capturing candid moments rather than trying to force or recreate it just for the picture. In addition to the quality of the photos, she has an excellent presence on the day of that is key when the nerves kick in! Multiple members of our wedding party made the observation that she had a great energy. I cannot recommend Katie more!! -

When we were looking for photographers, we were very intentional about finding someone who could tell a story with their pictures - someone whose portfolio showed they could do more than just take posed pictures. With every album we saw of Katies, we felt like we were able to feel the essence of what that day must've felt like. After talking to Katie on the phone (which felt like I was talking to a friend I knew my whole life), we didn't think twice about hiring her to shoot our wedding in Vermont.
Katie did our engagement photos, as well, taking us on an adventure along the Vermont countryside in the late summer. She didn't bat an eye when we asked if we could include our two, crazy, energetic labradors in the photos, and when we started to get stressed that they were too much, her energy brought us back down to earth, reminding us, without even saying a word, that that was all part of the fun.
Katie is so intentional about making sure the love of the day is captured. We LOVE looking through our album and seeing the smiles on all of our guests faces, and the candid moments that Katie captured. Katie has a way of making you and everyone around you feel so special, and that absolutely shows through her photography.
Other than her BEAUTIFUL, natural photos, we were so thankful to Katie for helping our day run smoothly. We felt like she was able to help make our day flow and was so supportive through it all. Even during her third trimester of pregnancy, Katie stuck it out with us to the very end to make sure she captured all of our fun dance party pictures. Those pictures turned out to be some of our favorites.
If we could, we would have Katie take all of our photos for the rest of our lives. She is the best in so many ways, and we will cherish our photos forever. -

Above and beyond!
Katie did an absolutely phenomenal job capturing the greatest day of our lives. We were and are blown away by how good the photos look. She is a truly talented photographer and we could not be more pleased with how she went the extra mile every step of the way.
Furthermore, she made the actual process of photo taking enjoyable. From the groom: “I was dreading standing in a row with interchanging family and friends for an hour, but Katie’s sense of humor and willingness to put up with me making constant fun of everything was a delightful way to mitigate my inability to stand still for more than 8 seconds. She helped make the only part of the night I wasn’t excited for exciting.”
Icing on the cake: she got us the first set of photos insanely fast and then the entire portfolio of photos in record time soon after. Super impressive and the pictures are stunning.
All in all: 5/5 stars - would get married again -

We feel so lucky to have had Katie as our photographer. After seeing her in action at a friend's wedding, I knew that she'd be the first vendor we'd book! We actually checked with her availability before booking our venue - that's how much we wanted to her to be part of our wedding.
She's incredibly thoughtful in her approach and made sure that our identities were represented in the photographs. Her talent is undeniable - just skim through her photos and you'll see her gift for capturing the essence of individuals & events. I'd recommend Katie, without hesitation, to anyone looking for a high quality human who is very good at her job! -

Phenomenal
I cannot say enough good things about Katie Figura. Katie was incredibly professional, with a website that makes her services/packages easy to understand and a questionnaire to get to know you and your partner. She was always very quick to respond to emails and texts with any questions I had. She spent time on the phone with me discussing the details of the wedding day and even helped me structure the schedule of the day (honestly she could double as a wedding planner/day of coordinator!!). She asked thoughtful questions about my partner and I to get to know us and what our hopes were for our wedding to help capture the special day. And that she did! Katie magically made her way around the ceremony and venue in the most graceful way, snapping absolutely gorgeous shots with her incredible talent. I shouldn’t leave out the fact that she didn’t hesitate to jump on a boat for our first look and hike to the bottom of a waterfall sharing a few quiet moments with us before the ceremony for a photo shoot that could not have felt more natural and true to my partner and I. Her presence and energy was perfect. She is an absolute gem, and we are so grateful to have her beautiful photos to remember our special day! Thank you Katie!! -

Just hire Katie already!
Katie's work was EASILY the best value in our wedding budget. She took one of my favorite photos of myself at a friend's huge wedding years ago, so I was thrilled to be able to hire her for my own microwedding. I think that's indicative of the range of beauty she captures and creates, not just of the people getting married but of all the loved ones and places around them. She's friendly and unobtrusive, so even people who usually don't like getting their photos taken feel comfortable (and look like supermodels, obvi). Her images feel genuinely intimate: they capture moments you were part of but forgot about, or between your guests that you as the bride/groom/whatever would have missed, as well as those magazine-cover posed images of yourself and your partner that will be on your wall forever. She has an amazing eye and her composition is just gorgeous. She's flexible, knowledgeable, communicative and professional. In short, Katie is a rockstar and a privilege to work with. I can't wait to be able to hire her again someday (fingers crossed)! -

Best wedding vendor wee hired
We had a destination wedding in New Orleans and found Katie Figura by luck. Not only did we find an amazing photographer but we feel like we made a friend in the process. Katie was a ninja. We never even knew she was there yet she captured everything we asked in the most beautiful ways. I am an introvert who was not too excited about the picture taking part of it all, but Katie made us completely comfortable. She was a pro. She listened to our requests and suggested some very good additional photos that turned out to be some of our favorites. She was so easy to work with and a great communicator. On top of that, she was just a cool laid back person. She also had a lot of connections in Nola and was able to help us out with some last min pedicab needs.
All and all, we loved our photos. I mean, loved them! She was great to work with and responsive to questions. Definitely recommend! -

Katie is amazing!!
It is honestly hard to express how glad we are that we went with Katie to photograph our wedding--she was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end.
I was super impressed with her photos on WeddingWire. We reached out to her, and she got back with us really quickly. We were able to chat with her over coffee within that week, prior to booking her, which was really great because we got to know her a little better and we just really vibed with her! Katie is a wonderful person, super skilled, and has a really great go-with-the-flow nature to her. It was really important to us that we had a photographer who we would feel super comfortable and have fun with, and Katie was definitely that! Katie was great with communication and very flexible. We had four different locations that we photographed at on our wedding day, and she pulled it all off so well. Another big thing for us was budget/affordability, and Katie's rates are unbelievable for the quality of photographs you will get.
Wedding planning can feel crazy and stressful, but Katie definitely put us at ease! We also loved that she sent us a bunch of "sneak peek" photos the day after the wedding, which was great to get to post to our social media that weekend.
Katie is definitely who you want to go with! -

My family has been using Katie as our photographer for weddings for the past couple of years. She has a way of making you feel comfortable in front of the camera, coming from 2 people who are not very comfortable getting their photos taken. She has a special talent for capturing the exact mood and feel of the moment. I am able to look back at all of the weddings she has shot for my family, including my own, and remember exactly what it felt like to be there. It is truly special to have these beautiful photos to look back on for the rest of our lives. She is able to work around challenging lighting and has an eye for what locations are the best to shoot at. Aside from her talent, she is warm, accepting and easygoing. We would recommend her to anyone! -

We could not possibly have been more thrilled with our wedding photos from Katie Figura! The entire process from start to finish was 5 star! We knew from the moment we saw Katie's portfolio that she was the one we wanted documenting our special day, and when we had the phone intro with her we were positive. Katie was fun and relaxed throughout the process leading up to the wedding, which was a huge relief during chaotic wedding planning. On the actual wedding day is was a blast to see Katie in action, as her passion for photography was on full display. When we got our first look at the photos, we were blown away! We had a mid-fall wedding in Vermont with peak foliage, and Katie totally nailed it! Her use of natural lighting was masterful. Katie's style of documenting the festivities in action was perfect, and anyone who wasn't able to join us can totally experience the vibe of the wedding through the pics. The portrait photos came out spectacular as well. In fact our favorite photos are of poses Katie suggested. The turnaround on the photos was fast. We had our sneak peak the day after the wedding, and the full album in just a couple of months. We can't possibly give Katie Figura a stronger recommendation. We hope you are lucky enough to book her for your wedding!!

Excellent Experience
Katie did a phenomenal job with our engagement and wedding photos! Not only is the quality of her work top notch, but her personality is so easy and fun to work with. Katie was accommodating throughout many changes of plans, and was even willing to duck under electric fences to get photos with our horses! Katie showed genuine interest in getting to know my husband and I, and it really shows in her photos. We highly recommend her for your photography needs! -

Katie is amazing!! I am so happy I found her and decided to have her capture our special day :) She is an extremely talented individual and very sweet & personable. We hired her to capture 10 hours of our special day, and she did not disappoint. We did an entire shoot through the French Quarter before the ceremony and it was magical. I first met Katie a few years ago when she shot a wedding that I was a bridesmaid in. I was so impressed not only by her photos, but by the way she made us all feel relaxed and normal. Katie came to Boston to do our engagement photos in 2018 and spent a few hours getting to know us and that got us so excited for the wedding. Although we had to postpone our wedding for 9 months due to Covid, Katie kept in touch and we felt as though we were completely connected and ready come the wedding. We are SO happy with our photos, and loved working with Katie! -

Katie was a bride's dream photographer. She was a breeze to work with and was always available when I had questions. I was already a fan when we first met but after seeing my pictures, I was hooked. I find myself thinking of other things I can hire her to photograph. She's very professional but also down to earth. I'd sit and have a beer with her any day! Every time I look at my pictures, I am transported back to my wedding day and the memories come flowing. She perfectly captured every moment. Katie photographed my partner and I in Saulylita, Mexico. We had a blast. It was our first time working with a professional photographer. We'd been out fishing all day, and my partner Ben, was not super excited to change into his nice clothes - but Katie's enthusiasm was contagious. Her excitement for our shoot made me feel like a star in front of the camera - and Ben hammed it up. We've re-purposed our engagement photos in multiple venues - they bring back awesome memories. My husband and I have no words for the level of gratitude we have for Katie. Our original wedding photographer had health issues that required her to back out of shooting our wedding. Finding Katie was kismet. Her photographs are absolutely breathtaking, she is a true professional, so fun, down to earth, and personable, and was up for any crazy idea that we had for our engagement pictures and our first look. As with many couples, we were anxious we'd look weird or not like ourselves in our pictures but working with her put us right at ease and she was able to capture some of the best photographs of us ever taken. In addition, to all the amazing qualities she possesses as a photographer and person, she also was able to match the vibe of our wedding and guests and was always down for whatever we wanted to try. We cannot recommend her more highly and are secretly devastated we don't have any immediate need for her in our lives anymore. Book her immediately. I followed a bunch of photographers on Instagram when I found out we were moving to Vermont and going to get married there. Katie's Instagram is a great mini reflection of her photography style, which is focused on rich and personal snapshots of in the moment delight. She truly has the skill to capture and showcase the magic of your wedding. I loved the photos we received and appreciate all the work she did to make them. We got the standard gorup photos and couples photos, but the real reason I hired her was for the pictures of my guests having fun. She is super chill, lovely to hang out with, and she worked so well with our venue, dj, and my last minute addition of a videographer. I had a Thai water blessing in my ceremony and she got some beautiful photos that truly showed how that went. Seriously, she was worth every penny. Thank you so much Katie! -

I can't say enough good things about Katie. She was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. She somehow walks this fine line between being an incredible professional hustler, while also being super chill and a relaxing presence to be around (which is so important on your wedding day). The best thing about Katie is that she has this sixth sense for what moments need to be captured. Anytime there was something cool or special happening at our wedding--on the dance floor or elsewhere--I would look and see Katie getting the perfect shot. My husband said that she made him feel so relaxed while she was taking pictures of him getting ready with his groomsmen, which I thought was really cool as well. Her images are, of course, beautiful, and she really makes an effort to get to know the couple and know what they're looking for. I would recommend Katie to anyone who is looking for personalized and unique photos and who wants to work with someone who is just a lovely human being. -

1. A breeze to work with
Katie was fun and relaxed and got along with all of our vendors (including videographer). She also had a call with us beforehand to get information about how we were feeling and important shots.
2. BEAUTIFUL pictures
The pictures Katie will give you are beyond anything you can even begin to imagine. SEVERAL of my friends commented that the photos she took of them are their favorite photos ever taken of them. Of course I loved the photos taken of me and my now husband as well! Katie was excellent at scouting locations for us, even though she had never been to our venue. When it came time to try to choose our favorites to put on our wall, my partner and I kept finding too many! Katie really excels at photographing people. However, she also took some great shots of our dog as well.
3. Quick turnaround
We got all of our photos, including rehearsal dinner, in ONE. WEEK. I know for a fact she was camping in Yellowstone right after our wedding, so that says something about her work ethic.
4. YOU own the photos
5. SO flexible
Katie was very flexible at last minute changes and dealing with family.
6. Supporting a good person
Katie also volunteers her time to help with photographs for a refugee group in VT, where she lives. What people do on their own time should not really matter, but it is so lovely that she spends some of it helping others. -

She was able to capture beautiful candid moments of our wedding that we cherish forever. Although she is new to the wedding world, we decided to check her out and we are SO happy that we did! The first time we spoke she suggested we visit her site to check out her portfolio from previous weddings and celebrations. I was blown away by her talent of capturing the beauty and simplicity of both people and nature--it was then that we knew she was the perfect fit for our wedding. Katie was very professional during the entire process and answered any questions we had promptly. Leading up to the wedding, she would reach out to us to see how we were doing and ask us to send her any photo ideas we may have. On the day of the wedding, Katie arrived right on cue and made everyone feel comfortable and at ease the entire day. She was so creative with her location ideas and the pictures are better than we ever dreamed! She captured all that we had envisioned for our big day and so much more.
