My husband and I got married on a mountain and I wanted so badly to have a cake with mountains on it, yet still have it look like a wedding cake. I reached out to countless bakers, showed them my inspo pics and none of them said they could do it. They said that doing a mountain design and trying to deliver it was nearly impossible and to reset my standards because “good luck finding a baker that can do that”. Well, that’s exactly what I did. Tara with K.T. Cakes did what no other baker was willing to do, and she did it with flying colors, and within our budget! All night I received compliments on how pretty our wedding cake was with the mountain design. My husband and I also really wanted a maple filling in the cake because we love maple bars. Tara said that wasn’t on her normal menu but that she would do it. Let me tell you… the cake tasted as good as it looked. We then had guests coming up to us all night raving about the taste of the cake. I hope Tara implements the maple as one of her regular flavors, because everyone should jump on that flavor without hesitation the second they can. Her cookies & cream filling (our middle cake tier flavor) was also so good- it tasted just like an ice cream cake and had such an amazing texture. She also delivered the cake safely and with plenty of time to spare! Being from out of state, Tara was super accommodating of us mailing our cake stand and topper to her as well. When we mentioned that we didn’t get to try the other cake flavors, Tara offered to make us a small cake so that we could try our wedding cake. I’m not normally a cake person but I was in love with the taste and look of our cake. Every time we visit Washington we will come up with an occasion/excuse to order a cake from her!

I loved our wedding cake. It was everything I hoped for, simple, elegant beautiful and most importantly delicious. Tara did a wonderful job. Everyone loved the cake.

Her cakes and treats are delicious and not to mention she has such a big heart and is committed and passionate about what she does, I have been nothing but impressed by her services! I was very disappointed in the service for the cake. I was told one thing and then it turned out not to be true which caused added stress the night before my wedding. I also had no cake box so that the cake had nothing to be put in at all. The cake looked amazing and tasted great but the added stress was a deal breaker for me.
