People! This DJ! He literally saved an entire high school prom! We, the advisors and parents of our local high school, want to send a big thank you to DJ Compass. For years, we have struggled in getting our kids/students to come and stay at prom. Jeff was holy grail of fun! Most kids stayed until the end of prom! All-time record! Jeff is fantastic! He is talented, incredibly fun, interactive with the youth with activities, flexible, knowledgeable, and he lit up that place!! He has amazing equipment, and most of all, he is accommodating and the most quality guy. We appreciate DJ Compass and hope to have him back! He is worth every penny. ❤️

Listen people, a DJ is a must! I for a while contemplated the idea of just using a ipod to run some music and have a family member run it. But then I got in contact with Jeff and I knew he was the right DJ for us, we even flew him out to the wedding because I knew he'd do just such an amazing job. I have zero regrets, he did the most amazing job. Our whole wedding was run so smoothly because of his timing and knowledge. He made it relatable to the old and young. He was engaging, fun, professional, knew just went to run each thing so that everything ran smoothly. He has clever ways of getting people to turn of their phones during the ceremony, get out he dance floor in the reception. He's got games if you need to balance time, he was so awesome ahead of time so we knew exactly what we were getting in for. Emailed me timelines, made sure the songs were what I wanted for each event, then even helped work with the photographer for the perfect shot leaving the reception. He spent time talking out songs with me and even listened to my concerns and helped me plan ahead of time. I don't love eyes on me but knew I wanted to do a first dance, he helped me figure out what song and then we planned how long to play it for before he faded it out perfectly. Allowing me to get the dance in without being anxious being up there. I can't thank him enough and I promise you won't regret using Jeff as your DJ. DO IT!

Jeff is absolutely amazing. We've hired him twice now for our daughters weddings. The first one a few years ago, he did such a good job that when we started planning our second daughter's wedding we asked if he could come back. I'm so grateful we did. The wedding venue for this most recent wedding really screwed up. We weren't able to rehearse the day before. The venue contact was useless. Needless to say, it was an extremely stressful situation. I mentioned to Jeff, an hour and half before the ceremony how things were not going well. Jeff stepped in, like a superhero and took over. He ended up being our planner. He coordinated everything. He got everyone in line, got things started, kept things moving. He was even going around making sure people had enough water. It was over 100 degrees outside. As my daughter and I were getting ready to walk down the aisle, Jeff was there to reassure her everything was great, he had her breathe, relax. He ran through how everything was going to happen. I liked the music he picked too and he even played Disney songs at the right times (we are huge Disney fans). For example, when dinner was being served he played "Be Our Guest". He was also very engaging with everyone, kept things moving along, it was never boring. I can't say enough about this superhero. Without him this wedding would have been a disaster. DJ superhero! Thank you! You are amazing.

Jeff was our DJ for one of our daughters in August of 2017. He was wonderful, so much fun the guests and staff said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We wanted our son to use him for his wedding but he was booked for that day. The DJ they had was just okay.
When our youngest daughter was getting married she really wanted him to DJ her wedding she was happy he was available for her date of April 10th she was really happy. But because of covid she of course needed to reschedule for a later date and made sure she picked a date around his availability which was June 26th. Her wedding was at the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium it was a beautiful setting but as far as the wedding coordinator, it made for a stressful wedding.
Jeff really stepped up above and beyond what he was hired for, he acted as our wedding coordinator helping us in every way, as in instructing us in lining up for the ceremony (we had no rehearsal as promised) getting the bride and groom water and bringing out side when they were getting pictures taken (record heat). He even went table to table asking if he could get drinks for our guests and even filled water glasses. He again made our daughters wedding wonderful. I don’t know what we would have done without him.
If you are debating on whether or not to hire him I promise you he will not disappoint.

WAY MORE THAN A DJ!! DJ Compass literally made my wedding. From the moment he arrived (dressed professionally in a button down, but the he later changed into an even nicer tux!) he was so helpful and friendly. The wedding started at 6, he arrived at 330 to set up his booth and also lend a helping hand wherever he was needed. He brought me the cutest little gift box of goodies, things like energy drinks, protein bars, mint breath spray, water... Just little things that go a long way when you're running crazy on your wedding day. He was exceptionally good to the children that were totally enamored with him, even allowing them to try out his turntable... It's safe to say he became their idol that day..... Throughout the day he was constantly checking up on the bridal party, the bride and groom especially. I didn't even realized I was parched until he brought me a water, or that I was starving until he brought me a snack. He is so very in tune to the needs of others and the potential snafus of a wedding day - it just seemed like any time something was in need of a solution he was right there to offer it. He is also exceptionally good at planning and helping with a timeline. He can work with your photographer or coordinator to make sure that his timeline corresponds with your other plans, and offer advice about things that you are unsure about. In my eyes he should get paid to be a wedding planner or a day of coordinator - because he is not just a DJ. He held my wedding together.
Also, I should mention that we debated not getting a dj at all - some of my family members thought a playlist on spotify was enough. I almost cancelled him because I started believing them - and I am so so glad that I didn't. He kept the entire place on their feet and having a blast - people that I know very well that never dance were out on the dance floor dancing the night away - loving the light up rings he brings as a complimentary extra. Also, those same family members who told me a dj was a waste of money came up to me afterward and told me "We were so wrong, that DJ was definitely a good idea - he was worth every penny!"
DJ Compass also has so many optional activities to keep people involved during the wedding - we opted to play the "bride and groom" game - which kept everyone laughing and engaged with us while we played on the dance floor - but he has several more fun games and activities to choose from.
If you are considering not getting a DJ - a spotify playlist can not replace a good DJ. We tried that with my sister's wedding and it was nowhere near what DJ compass did for my wedding. He is a master of ceremonies, a jack of all trades. If you are still looking at reviews, just stop here. Hire him. He takes so much time to learn what you want and put together a packet of your wants and desires. I promise you will not be disappointed!!

I can not say enough about DJ Compass. He is an amazing guy with outstanding setup. His music is loud without being deafening, his knows when to interject his personality to get people on the dance floor, but he knows when to pull back.

I have worked 3 weddings with him (I am a wedding photographer) and I am always excited to see him when we are at the same events. My fiance, who is my second shooter, plan on hiring him for our wedding in 2022.

My wedding was so much fun, and I have to say that was a result of DJ Compass outstanding service. DJ Compass was incredible!!! We're now a month after our wedding and we still have friends telling us what a great time they had. "The best wedding I've ever been to" has been said MANY times. :D Jeff did so much on our evening. He played the music we asked for (and made sure as the night went on that all the songs we wanted had been played!), checked in with us regularly to see if we needed anything, made VERY helpful suggestions on the timeline of our wedding, and kept our guests engaged and having fun. Jeff came with ideas for the wedding but was also open to what we did not want to do and didn't force his agenda on us. Our guests were impressed by how engaged Jeff was during the event and how well he worked with our venue and photographer. My wife and I hired DJ Compass to MC our wedding, and it was absolutely one of the best decisions we made! He made himself readily available during the lead-up to the event to assist with the day-of schedule and details, seamlessly incorporating the details we had strong feelings about while also providing advice and guidance in the areas we were less familiar.
