We had our wedding (ceremony & reception) in the Burnham Ballroom at the JW Marriott and were beyond impressed with every aspect of our experience. The team was a pleasure to work with and met every request with a smile. Our guests were blown away by the grandeur of the room and how the Marriott team was able to transform the space between the ceremony & reception (special thank you to the Encore team for making the room beautiful with ceiling lighting!). Chrissy was our event manager and was always available to answer any questions we had leading up to the event, and during the festivities as well. Our guests continue to rave about the food, and how quick the waiter service was - they really helped keep the event on track! On top of all of that, the hotel rooms were stunning, and the JW team accommodated our need for a bigger bridal suite. We can’t thank everyone enough for making our day so special.

When looking for hotels for our wedding guests in downtown Chicago, we knew the options were almost endless. But when the search began, the place that stood out to us was the JW Marriott. From the attentiveness of our assigned coordinator, Rubi, to the room block manager, Austin, everything was so easy. They made sure all of our guests felt cared for with the room block custom URL that made booking hotel rooms under the block extremely quick and easy, and even went to the length to memorize the names of the parents of the bride and groom and the entire bridal party. I can not say enough wonderful things about this exquisite hotel. To my wife and I, it feels a little bit like home now. We will be staying here for all our Chicago hotel needs.

I hosted my wedding hotel block at the JW Marriott Chicago and was thrilled with how beautiful and convenient the hotel was for our guests. The lobby and bar area were a wonderful place for our guests to spend time together, and the bar/restaurant had great food and drinks. I was impressed by how helpful the staff was as well. I worked with Rachel to book the block and she was very easy to work with and very helpful. We agreed on a fair rate and my guests were very satisfied with the room rate based on the great location of the hotel and the high quality of the hotel. I especially loved the suite that my husband and I had. It was enormous, with gorgeous views of the city and an amazing bathroom. I would highly recommend this hotel to any Chicago bride!

We used the JW Marriott as our base for our daughter's wedding. We could not have been happier. Our initial contact with the event/group sales department was awesome. They gave us enough rooms to accommodate all of our out of town guests and added more as demand increased. They were always friendly, helpful and very professional along the way. I had called ten hotels downtown and the JW was the most courteous and most flexible.

Upon check in, we were greeted by the staff like rock stars. Our every need was accommodated. Because we were hosting this wedding, we had guest bags to be distributed. The front desk staff happily accepted the task and made sure all were delivered. Attention to every detail was evident. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and elegantly appointed. The lobby staircase was a gorgeous backdrop to the "first look" of the bride to the groom before we went on for pictures around the city.

The wedding itself was at the Planetarium, however, the Marriott made us feel at home during our stay. They even tolerated our continued celebration in the lobby after our event while we all reminisced about the wedding we had just experienced. I love this hotel and its staff. You can tell that the corporate mantra is all about the guest and you feel it everywhere you go in this hotel. I will definitely be back.

We were one of the first weddings at the newly opened JW Marriott Chicago. It didn't show one bit. Everyone at the JW was a true professional. We had a wonderful experience from the sales process, the planning and tasting, the weekend at the hotel, to our actual wedding ceremony and reception. The Burnham Ballroom is a beautiful room for both ceremony and reception that allows you to work with it and decorate it instead of trying to hide the room with draping. The food was amazing and there was plenty of it. We used their AV department for lighting and it really helped to highlight the room and flowers. Everything was top notch. Highly recommend!

note this was for the day after brunch not ceremony or reception but there is no category for brunch. i was married nearby the day before and had about 80 guests to the florentine for a buffet brunch. it was delicious. great food and people loved the bloody mary and mimosa bar where they could make their own drinks. service was awesome too with new silverware, plates, water glasses, etc. highly recommended.
