I believe choosing a photographer for your wedding involves a lot more than quote hunting and photo swiping. Sure, sure, you can say it all comes down to budget and style, but aren’t you a bit overwhelmed by how many there are and how you are supposed to choose?
Yes, you could just send a bunch of notes and try to find the one you like the best that’s in your budget, but that’s not going to guarantee you are happy with your photos.
Because you’ve got to jive with the person behind the camera. You need to have a photographer who gets you as a couple, who wants to incorporate their art with your personality.
You want the photographer who’s not going to let you pose with a double chin (because you totally don’t have one, cameras do weird things sometimes).
You want the photographer who’s going to make you laugh through those happy tears so the photo looks joyous and not solemn!
You want the photographer you don’t have to direct—who you can trust is going to be where they need to be, where the action is.
But mostly, you want the photographer who’s going to really see you two, what you are about, and why you decided to marry each other—then put that on film. (Digital “film” most likely, but you get my drift.)
That’s my goal.
It’s most certainly a dance between how much you want to share and how much we can relate. (Thank goodness for Zoom and wine!) My job gets sooo much easier when you share, so because of this, I offer $75 off any full wedding package to couples who message me with three pieces of info: 1) how you met, 2) Your favorite weird thing about your partner, and 3) Your partner’s favorite weird thing about you.
The point of this? Wedding photography should be about more than dollar signs and lighting. Choose your company wisely.

Thank you Mira, we love our photos!
Mira was amazing to work with. She was very accommodating and I love how she used our natural venue to beautifully frame every photo. She was always there to answer any questions I had before, during and even long after the big day. I love looking back on our photos, she captured out wedding perfectly. Thank you Mira!Sent on 11/18/2020

Mira's wedding photography
"Mira's creativeness and play with colors and zoom made for unique, beautiful shots. She is down to earth, understanding, flexible and passionate about her art. We loved having her as our photographer from our engagement shoot to the full wedding day. I can't say enough good things about her!!"Sent on 10/20/2020

Juniper Ink Photography's reply:I'm so glad I could help make you feel comfortable in front of the camera and that you are so happy with the images. It was a magical day and I was so thankful to be a part of it.
When planning a small wedding during a pandemic, these big packages just aren't cutting it, are they?
To accommodate this, I'm opening up my La Petite Fete Elopement Package, $1899 for three hours of photography, to slightly larger weddings. (Up to 50 guests instead of the original 20).
AND adding an extra hour of photography. You can use this on the day, or before or after as boudoir or family shoot, and this applies to all my packages.
Valid for weddings January to May 2021. Must book before December 31st 2020.

Creativity is my specialty, and it's what allows me to tweak my style to match my couples. Between writing novels, knitting sweaters, and mixing new recipes, I love to get my hands dirty and make stuff up!
When not photographing couples, I can be found photographing landscapes from mountain tops or enjoying a bike ride and a beer with friends.
I'm Canadian, but proud to live in Colorado! My husband I met in a rather serendipitous, once-in-a-lifetime moment when we both happened to be the only two patrons in a pub one night.
