I wish we could get married all over again and have Julie by our side. We worked with Julie for the year leading up to our wedding and every step of the way was a pleasure. We had considered not having a planner, and Julie's direction, support, setup and day-of execution showed us how wrong we were! She was so adaptable during the planning process with setting up calls, meeting in person, and collaborating with our vendors. Her experience in the industry helped guide many decisions, while she also maintained a lot of flexibility for our vision and helping to make our wedding feel unique and personal. She received all our requests with a can-do attitude; she advocated for us with our other vendors and helped clarify the nitty gritty details. She was so on top of our rain plan and went above and beyond to adjust our setup so that we could remain stress-free with any last-minute changes. Her organization really helped ensure that we had everything covered, and she provided lots of items that would have been one-time purchases for the wedding. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives, and I don't think that would have been true without Julie. Everything flowed so seamlessly and allowed us to be in a state of flow, rarely thinking about what came next. She not only co-created our vision, but she took it to the next level of beautiful. She was always a step or two ahead of us on our wedding day, whilst enabling us to soak up the present moment. She managed everything from bringing us water during down time, keeping my bouquet safe, and transitioning the space as the night progressed while she also collaborated with our vendors to create a seamless evening. She brought composure, direction, and joy to our rehearsal and wedding, emanating a powerful confidence and ease that buoyed us the whole way! I could go on and on... Julie is the BEST; she is a master, and you would be so, so lucky to have her by your side for your wedding!

Julie was the MVP and Fairy Godmother that made our wedding dreams come true. My wife and I were early in the cycle of our friends to get married so didn’t have much wedding attendance experience to go on when thinking about what we wanted our day to look like, let alone how to make that vision come to life.

Enter Julie. Early on she helped us figure out what was most important to us by asking thoughtful questions about who we are, and about our relationship. She never pushed her own ideas or vision, and helped guide us to our own conclusions. In the same breath, we often asked her opinion and her experience and insight proved valuable time and again.

Her expertise in Vermont weddings shined through at every opportunity. She is incredibly well connected among vendors in the region, helped us get introduced to the right people, and was a great sounding board when it came to costs to make sure we weren’t overpaying or getting taken for a ride. Julie helped us navigate various vendors to make sure we had the right team to make our wedding go as smoothly as possible. Julie did a fantastic job managing our timeline and making sure we were completing tasks and hitting milestones when we needed to. We really felt like Julie was on our team and was invested in making our perfect day come to life.

When it came to the big day, execution was flawless. Julie worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything went off without a hitch, and her assistant Sydney was the Robin to her Batman. Every detail was remembered, every decoration was in place, and Julie made the whole day flow in a way that seemed effortless. I can’t emphasize enough how incredible her attention to detail is – even down to last minute changes of the smallest things she captured, remembered, and took care of to make our day perfect. Our wedding was everything we wanted it to be, and it was all made possible because of Julie.

Julie Olson was the planner for our daughter's wedding in Vermont, and we honestly don't know how we would have gotten through the planning process — let alone the wedding day — without her. Julie is based in Vermont and brings many years of deep experience to her work, and it shows in every detail. From start to finish, she was kind, fun, and genuinely listened to every one of us, even when we didn't always agree with each other (typical mother/daughter moments included!).

What made Julie truly exceptional was how she handled the delicate balance of family dynamics. She always made my daughter feel like her wedding was the only one Julie was planning — like she was her one and only bride. At the same time, Julie gave great, honest guidance and gently steered us away from ideas that wouldn't have worked, without ever making anyone feel dismissed. That skill meant I got to just be my daughter's mom and biggest champion, instead of being the one who had to say "no" or "that won't work." Julie carried that weight for us, and it made all the difference.

Julie has a real gift for listening closely to what a couple envisions and then translating that vision into reality. She took the time to understand exactly what our daughter and her now-husband were dreaming of, and she brought it to life in ways that felt authentically them, not like a generic template of what a wedding "should" look like. Watching their vision unfold exactly as they'd imagined it — thanks to Julie's work behind the scenes — was one of the most special parts of the whole day.

One of the things that set the day apart was how personal everything felt. Julie had previously worked with — and is genuinely friends with — nearly every vendor we used. That history and trust turned what could have been a bland series of transactions into something warm and connected. Everyone worked together like a team who already knew and liked each other, because they did.

We were able to fully trust Julie and completely immerse ourselves in the moment on the wedding day, without worrying about a single detail. She handled everything — and she did it while working professionally and cheerfully with our family, the vendors, and the venue. Every piece of the day came together beautifully, and so much of that is thanks to her.

Julie is an incredible, deeply experienced professional, and an even better person. The wedding may be over, but we have a feeling (hope) she's going to be part of our lives for a long time to come. We can't recommend her highly enough.

Julie was an absolute pleasure and a lifesaver when it came to planning our wedding in the Chicago suburbs. As a pretty Type A bride, I came in thinking I had it mostly figured out, but there were so many things about the industry I would have never known without her. Her guidance ultimately led us to the smartest decisions to meet our vision and goals for the day. When my (now) husband and I first got engaged and started planning our wedding I was pretty sure we didn't need a planner. I told him that we're creative and crafty and have plenty of hands to help us... My husband on the other hand, has worked in the wedding industry as a catering chef for many years now. He said, we need a planner and we need it to be Julie.

It became clear by the first meeting with Julie that my husband was right. And on the other side of the wedding now—I can say without a doubt that the best money we spent on our wedding was paying for Julie and her team. Leading up to the big day, Julie provided insights I never would have known, suggestions I could never have thought of, and delivered us organized project management that allowed me to focus on the whimsy and enjoyment of it all. She has an unwaveringly positive demeanor and a professionalism that helped me feel infinitely less stressed. On our wedding day Julie and her assistant were our best friends, I didn't have to worry about what happened next, where I needed to be, what needed to be done, or even if I needed deodorant and a breath mint—they were on top of all of it.

Julie was an absolute dream to work with and truly the backbone of our wedding planning process. From the very beginning, she was incredibly organized, thoughtful, and proactive, which immediately put us at ease. Her calm, confident presence made even the most overwhelming parts of planning feel manageable.

Julie attended all of our vendor appointments with us and was instrumental in helping us make decisions on wine selections and tableware, always offering expert guidance while keeping our vision in mind. She coordinated seamlessly with our band and venue to create a clear, well-structured timeline and ensure the setup was executed perfectly.

She also went above and beyond by letting us borrow decorative details like votives and easels for our signage, which saved us from having to buy or rent additional items and was such a thoughtful, generous touch.

On the wedding day, Julie’s calm confidence was invaluable. Because of her, we were able to fully relax and enjoy our day, knowing everything was in the best possible hands. We cannot recommend Julie highly enough.

Julie was a fantastic wedding planner! She captured our vision perfectly and our wedding day was exactly as we had imagined. She has such an eye for detail and had so many fantastic ideas that fit in our budget. Cannot recommend enough!

Julie was our best decision of our entire wedding, which is saying a lot because our day was perfect and we worked with a lot of incredible vendors. We were initially overwhelmed by what it would take to plan a wedding, and from the very first call, Julie put us at ease that we would be able to put together a day that fit who we are. We had a lot of decision paralysis, but with every call, Julie cut down the task list into bite sized pieces and focused on what needed to be done more immediately vs what could be back burnered and we left every call feeling 10x better and much more on task. She listened to what was important to us (for example fitting in a hike the morning of) and gave us suggestions and recommendations for how we would make that happen. She also helped us find many of our vendors - providing numerous recommendations of vendors that she had good experiences with in the past or even sourcing more from her network.

On the weekend of, Julie was so organized and calm. More than willing to engage in last minute detail brainstorming (like figuring out if we use a table runner or not). If there were any fires on the day of, we had absolutely no idea. Her and her assistant, Sydney, were calm, cool, collected, and so fun while simultaneously doing EVERYTHING. They kept us hydrated, showing up at our sides with cups/water bottles all throughout the day & night, and truly allowed us to stay present and not worry about a thing.

We may not have made it to the alter without Julie. What a godsend.

My wife and I got engaged in Boston in 2023 and shortly thereafter relocated to our hometown area of Connecticut. We both have deep roots in the great State of Vermont and knew immediately we wanted to celebrate our wedding in the greater Burlington area.

We began our search for a venue and quickly realized we would need help if we were to pull off the wedding we both pictured. After some online research, a few phone interviews and discussion with our families, we decided we would entrust our big day with Julie Olson.

Throughout our 2 year engagement, our relationship with Julie grew well beyond trusted advice. We could tell that she genuinely cared about our vision and wanted to see it come to life as much as we did. Her style stretches beyond positivity and simple words of encouragement. While she certainly tells you what you’re doing right, more importantly, she isn’t afraid to tell you when you’re at risk of making a mistake; which is probably what we are most grateful for in hindsight.

Having someone as experienced as Julie, especially as an out-of-State couple investing in a Vermont wedding, is completely invaluable. She knew all the best local vendors on a first name basis, helped us coordinate ALL the day-of details/timeline, setting up/breaking down our entire reception (even offering to share her own wedding decor), and kept our entire ceremony/reception flowing perfectly. With about 20 different vendor staff members onsite for our wedding, Julie was able to effectively communicate and ensure the team was all on the same page both before and during the day.

True story.. My wife had an entire espresso martini dumped on her wedding dress within the first five minutes of our cocktail hour and Julie (and her assistant) miraculously cleaned her dress so you couldn’t even see it, calmed our nerves and kept our night flowing like it never happened.
